We had to leave early and didn't know about breakfast. We arrived after 8pm and had difficulty parking. There were homeless sitting in cars and people sitting across the street from the hotel. It made us feel uneasy parking somewhere other than next to the hotel, especially since our car was a rental.

The hotel has a very clean appearance and the room was clean. The AC was nice and cold.

This is a motel throw back to the 1950s, but everything worked, sort of. I inquired to the front desk person, and the motel cat, Mango, about ice. She was very nice, and took me to a locked area, wiped out and bagged a container and gave me ice. She also gave good advice on a place to eat nearby. The AC are window units. Given that there are not many motel choices, to my knowledge, I would stay there again. I even found the throw back atmosphere and kind staff to be charming.

The bed was really uncomfortable. The room was a bit too small but expected it to be. At night there is a pick up garbage vehicle or something similar that makes a lot of noise and would wake us up every night. Surprisingly the chickens were not bad at all!

In downtown area and did not look as safe as typical tourist areas but there were no issues and area was very quiet at night. You can here Jet traffic at take off but was not an issue during sleeping hours

Two dead cockroaches on my room floor within the first few hours of being there. When I asked if anything could be done I was politely but resignedly told 'it's the tropics'. I don't know if anything was done, but there fortunately weren't any more during my stay. I stayed in multiple hotels in Hawaii and none of the others had this issue. Just made sure my luggage was always zipped up.

We didn‘t like the air conditioning, there always was a weird smell and the air inside wasn‘t good. (We really disliked the smell of the towels!) It was a bit older. There was a Cockroach in our bathroom at night, that was disgusting… The value for money was very bad, way too expensive, for the conditions mentioned above, I would expect it to cost at least 80$ less per night (it was 180$).

There were some coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood and the street in front was not quiet. The rooms were clean and sufficiently equipped.

If i had to say 1 thing negative it would be that i wish there was seating outside of our cottage but honestly that wasn't a big deal.

This is a good central location. We were able to branch out in any direction to find things to do or to find places to eat. We walked to many of these places. It was very quiet and had beautiful scenery. We will definitely go back to Kauai and will stay here again.

our room did not have a/c, just fan. We left the windows open for air circulation, but this caused our front door to blow open multiple times during our stay,even whilst locked...so somethings need some more upkeep. Kinda scary for two young girls!

location was good and bedroom and bathroom was clean. there was adequate parking. close to some great places to eat, don't miss Hamura Saimin Stand.

My room had no AC and was located next to the stairwell. There is 2 sets of windows to the stairwell so it was noisy when other guests would walk up and down. Unit #15 is not ideal if you plan on sleeping in.

Location is prime, being that it is 2 minutes from my parents' residence whom is the reason for the visit. Price is more affordable than most hotels and is nicer than the other affordable hotels in the area.

The only thing I can think that might have been better were newer towels.They were pretty worn.

It was a quaint little cottage. Clean. We didn't use the kitchen much but it had all the necessities . Friendly clerk (and cat, Mango) that checked us in. It might not have all the bells and whistles like the fancy resorts but you can't beat it for the price.

Exactly what we needed. It's quaint, simple, and very convenient location. It was clean and comfortable, we didn't need all the frills of a resort. The staff is friendly and they had a very good homemade local guide in the room with lists of restaurants and things to do.

It's a little sad that there was no cutlery/plate. Like this it gets unnecessary hard to prepare a snack/have a full breakfast in your room. Also I would have loved a possibility to sit outside, which is only available downstairs.

The central location in Lihue is perfect, coffee in the morning is wonderful and rooms are well-sized with very comfortable beds.
