Air filters in ac were filthy, TV cable didn't work. Caulking in bathroom was coming up. Gravy at breakfast was sour and old.

Inexplicably, we got a knock in the door at 9am from housekeeping. Then again about 20 minutes later from housekeeping. We were under the impression that checkout was at 11:00. No idea why the early door knocks when we were trying to sleep. Also, the housekeeping staff could be heard yelling to one another down the hallways. On another note, we went to breakfast at 9:30. There was next to no food and no one around. Then the worker showed up and told us that she ‘doesn’t like to put more food out this late, because it just goes to waste’. It was only 9:30. Breakfast lasted until 10:00. That seems unacceptable to me. Then I mentioned to her (as she was sitting at the table. Ext to us scrolling on her phone) that there was no milk, and she said she would get me more, but never got up and never looked up from her phone. Then about 10 minutes later a family came in and was trying to get cereal and realized that there was no milk. She then reluctantly got up and went to the back and brought out milk, and looked over at me and asked, “oh….did you still need milk?” I told her Nevermind. The little food that was there was very subpar. The waffle batter was so thin, you couldn’t make a waffle. There were no eggs, the 4 sausage patties were sitting in a pool of grease and the biscuits were ice cold (and there was no microwave to warm them up). It was the worst ‘free’ breakfast we have ever had.

Bathrooms could’ve been cleaned a little bit better smell was a urinal need to be sanitized and deodorized more.

Breakfast was great, location was close to event that I was going to.

The door was very hard to open and close without a lot of force. You had to check and recheck that it was properly closed and latch was locked. It was incredibly noisey each time entering and exiting the room.

This is not the Hilton and you don't pay the price of the HIlton which was about 50% more expensive. It's an older hotel which can be seen when looking at the woodwork. But it doesn't feel old. Bedding is great, bathroom was spacious and clean. For my needs the Hilton wasn't worth the increased cost. The Hampton Inn and some other more expensive hotels were across the hwy from this, same off ramp. I think this place is best value.

I live 30 miles away and had a 5:30 AM surgery appt. So decided to drive in and stay in Abilene instead of driving in the dark morning hours. My main purposes for choosing this hotel were proximity to hospital, price, and good reviews. All these expectations were met. Very easy drive to the hospital. Very comfortable room. No outside noise. If I ever needed to be in Abilene again overnight I'd stay here. I'd recommend it to company I might have. I left before breakfast was serving so can't speak to that but it looked like a nice eating area and the counter looked like it was more than dougnuts being served.

The bathtub was quite slippery and there was no mat. There were grab bars on the wall of the bathtub. Use them. Also the bathroom floor was slippery when wet.

Breakfast was good and in quantity. Very comfortable room.

The cover on bed was stained or dirty. The carpet around the edges were not vacuumed.

The shower was very nice - perfect temp, good shower head. BUT there was no place to put the soap! You had to hold it or put it on the floor. Also, there were no grab bars or towel bars anywhere close to the shower entrance.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a fridge and microwave and builtin closet.

The bathroom and sink smelled awful every time you would run the water and there was mildew in the shower. Carpet was disgusting, and sheets were stained from previous use

Friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast, good sized room, cold air conditioning with record high temps outside, little gym to work out in, conveniently located off a main road and near restaurants, free toiletries

Room 219 needs serious maintenance repairs (toilet tank lid is broken, the air conditioner controls seem to be glued into place or broken as the fan & cooling temperature could not be controlled, the shower current is too short and allows water to escape all over the floor when the shower is being used); the other reserved room 104 is in excellent condition.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the female night manager is excellent. Daytime front desk staff are reluctantly friendly, which is weird for a Texas town the size of Abilene.

There was construction that was not completed in our room and left a hazard between the carper and tile. Also the TV was not hooked into the cable box and the employee had to come to the room, Climb on desk to fix it.

Breakfast was good. Bed was unbelievably comfortable.

No wash cloths in bathroom. No shelf in shower to place soap or shampoo.

Refrigerator had leftover food from previous guest in it, shower had not been cleaned...had long hairs in it. Staff cleaned room while we were out, they took dirty towels but never brought fresh.
