Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe outside looks great but the inside is in a state of mild disrepair. Heavy smell of mold/mildew in our hallway, bathroom had no proper venting source for showers and ceiling tiles are not designed to handle water. One elevator was down the whole trip and the two in working order one seemed unserviced for years. Would have loved some water throughout the trip but only lemon water was offered during breakfast, water was out in the vending machines and no water fountains were on site. Had to walk to the gas station to buy a case. Very loud guests in many rooms after 10pm made it difficult for my husband to sleep.
The bed was comfortable and linens were clean/fluffed, very affordable stay. Staff was super friendly and prompt to have breakfast ready and refilled as needed. Had a concern about the wellbeing of a hotel guest down the hall from us and staff was prompt to check in on them for us.

United StatesOur room smelled! Also under the A/C units it was really dusty and not clean! One of our bathrooms in the suite had a hole in the all! The carpet had stains in them that I don’t think comes out. I think the carpet needs to be changed in that room. Also wish the heat was on in the pool area or at least that the water was warm

United StatesOur bathroom door didn't shut, the carpet outside the bathroom would get wet even with towels on the floor in the bathroom, TVs are not super loud. Our rolly chair in our room was missing a wheel and there were no extra plug ins for consoles. There is also an extra $100 "resort fee" when you check in even though it is not a resort. This would technically be a hidden fee since it is not listed anywhere on their site. Also, we didnt get to breakfast at all as their hours on the weekends are 7am to 9am as to the weekdays which are 6am to 10am. That's backwards to me - usually breakfasts run longer on the weekends!
I liked our suite for the price. It was basically two bedrooms and lots of space. Bed was comfortable. Sofa bed was not very comfy for our kid.

United StatesThe non working SMALL ELEVATORS! IT took FOREVER to get where you were going. The lack of wash cloths! The MOLD IN THE BATHROOM! THE OTHER LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS GUESTS yelling obscenities and pounding on the doors! Not what I expected! The photos that are shown on line are definitely photoshopped!
The staff was exceptional! It is too bad the facilities were NOT! The breakfast was good until we kept finding bone fragments in our sausage patties.
