very helpful staff and excellent breakfast

We arrived very late (01:15 AM) which I advised the hotel about via Messages ahead of time. This was a hotel stay to break up a long journey. Apparently the hotel policy is to erase the booking at 02:00 AM (worth knowing for future late arrivals) There was no-one on the front desk and the doors were locked. It took 15 minutes to get someone to let us into the property. The person working front desk on day shift was very terse and not accommodating at all. She offered no explanation as to why only two people were allowed breakfast. The breakfast was nothing to write home about.

I booked a room for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children (15 and16) that included breakfast. I was told that the free breakfast was only for TWO people and that children were considered 12 and under. Booking.com didn't stipulate. The children in my party were told that breakfast wasn't included when they went down to eat.

No included breakfast. For the price of this, I expect included breakfast. Booking.com implies breakfast was included but they were saying breakfast was available for a charge. It was dishonest advertising. This hotel is nice but it is not being well maintained. It won't be nice in 5 years. The ice machine on our floor was broken. One elevator was out of service. There was a towel issue (laundry) and we didn't have towels. We had to go down to get towels from the front desk In the morning (which they had available to give us). It will not be nice in a few years with this level of maintenance.

The staff was friendly. The shower and bathroom was good. The room was really nicely set up for charging and travelling and having places to put stuff.

Room was clean besides a left grocery bag from my guess is previous clients which made me question how clean the room really was. There was also a slight smell of smoke which went away after a while.

It's seems that the room on the website didn't have what was pictured. I booked a handicapped accessible room for the shower with a shower seat but there wasn't one

The afternoon/early evening gal was terrible. She refused to do her job, was rude and dismissed us every time. She was shorter and a heavier set white lady I don't know her name but even the general manager made comments about trying to fire her. She was terrible.

Amy was phenomenal and made things so easy. So did the other day time desk lady I never caught her name but she handled things amazing

I was not happy we did not get our room till about 6pm and then when we did I went to the room and the keys did not work. My room was supposed to be a 2 queen suite but it was a king with a pull out bed. It did work out but with them being very short staffing was the issue. Also one of our families had booked rooms and got to the hotel and they couldn’t find their reservation which was very disappointing!!

I really liked that the rooms were so clean and they they actually cared.

When my husband booked the room for us, he was told the breakfast was included. Not true. Also, my friend is an avid swimmer and we didn't know the pool was closed.

I thought the room and it's decor was very nice. My friend and I enjoyed the accommodations and we were safe at the location.

Towels were extremely scratchy. Some of the front desk people were amazing, good attitude. Others wouldn’t make eye contact as we left the building. We were there a week.

I liked the little bar and restaurant. Very convenient. Bar tenders were professional and friendly.

A plain small black coffee was $3.71 if you are going to charge that much for coffee it should be coffee shop quality.

there wasn’t any coffee included in the lobby as the website stated, couldn’t figure out coffee machine in room or it was broken. No extra linens or pillows in room.

Stayed here while power was out at home during ice storm. The hotel was convenient and not too expensive. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The proximity to WMU was great, easy to navigate and plenty of parking.

The kids in the room above us using the room as a race track until after ten pm then listening to one of them cry until 3 am after seeming to have fallen off the bed.

The hotel is clean and the room size (suite) was excellent.
