Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The Halekulani in Hawaii was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was serene, and the service was impeccable. The staff made every effort to ensure a comfortable stay, and the ocean views were breathtaking. Every detail, from the luxurious rooms to the fine dining, was thoughtfully curated. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury in Hawaii.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The rooms we’re clean and spacious, the staff was so lovely, all facilities are well maintained, easy access to a beach and all round wonderful!

Location- right by the beach and close to restaurants and shops. Beautiful rooms with character features such as white shutters giving a nautical theme. Photos in booking.com don’t do them justice. Fantastic customer service- we felt looked after. Lovely setting with beautiful gardens. Good restaurants on site. Would definitely recommend and return.

United StatesWe didn't have a lot of time to use the facilities, but we did walk around and I thought the beach was not much of a beach so I'm glad I wasn't counting on enjoying it.
The location of the property is amazing and the staff at both hotel and the on-property restaurants is incredible. They are friendly and super professional. Beautiful setting and grounds. We had breakfast both mornings at Orchids and the food was excellent. Servers here are incredible and always make sure your coffee cup is full :)
