Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLoved it all. There was an issue with booking.com quoting the wrong rate that they later fixed, so all was well.
Katie and Ray were fantastic hosts, so friendly and helpful. The Mourning Dove Suite was lovely and spacious, and the house and gardens are delightful. We enjoyed all the birds at the feeders too. They gave us ride across the creek to the trailhead and provided lots of advice and extra snacks in the living room. And the breakfasts, wow, arrive hungry, they are delicious!

United StatesOnly superlatives can be used to describe a Casa Paloma stay with Katie and Ray. They greet you as if you were a long-awaited friend, making every aspect of your stay a truly memorable experience. Ray and Katie have poured their talents and energy into this stunning home. Hearing their stories of Casa Paloma’s family-rooted history makes it all the more unique. True to all the other reviews, Ray is a masterful chef with his breakfast specialties. Katie sees that every need and comfort is met throughout the home. Multiple lounge areas inside and out insure that all guests either have a place to visit or a quiet chair from which to view the many many birds and photo-worthy landscaping. Thanks again, Katie and Ray for sharing your lovely home with us. We met with handshakes but said goodbye with hugs. We will see you again!

United StatesIt's not fancy or super upscale but more down to earth. The owners are friendly and kind. They have snacks and drinks out everywhere for your convenience. They have a common area for everyone to gather in evenings as available so you have opportunities to meet folks and socialize if desired. Breakfasts were wonderful.

United StatesIt is with total pleasure to recommend Katie & Ray's Casa Paloma B & B to anyone desiring a uniquely pleasurable experience in the Tubac area. These two very special people perform a delightful blend of hospitality in a personal and friendly manner that sets them apart from the ordinary B & B. Their hospitality is enhanced by the peaceful setting of the expansive property and their special companion, Emmy, even adds her warm and friendly black lab personality to the total experience. Lastly, its difficult to do justice to the delectable breakfasts provided after a comfortable night's sleep, but one has to experience Ray's gourmet concoctions to taste their delicious flavor. Simply stated for the entire package: 10 Star !!

United StatesThis bnb exceeded our expectations. The gardens were lush with plentiful birds and areas to relax. The indoor areas were spacious and beautifully renovated and decorated maintaining its historical charm. The breakfast was delicious with a daily change of offerings and fresh fruit, juice and assorted jams, preserves and a variety of syrups to go with the Belgium waffles with bacon or sausage we had one day. The hosts were friendly and responded to questions we has without hesitation. The large suite was worth the extra cost, We intend to return with family or friends. Joe and Linda

United StatesThere was NOTHING that I didn't like. The only reason I did not rate the location as high as everything else, is that it is a bit out of the way. If you are going to Tubac, I'm sure there is no better place to stay. But I do not know if there are other attractions are in this area besides Tubac. That said, Casa Paloma is a destination in itself!
Katie and Ray were amazing hosts! Their hospitality knew no limits. There was not a single amenity that I could think of, that they do not provide as a matter of course. The historic building was beautiful and well-maintained. The decor is lovely and makes you want to linger in the various "public" areas. The multi-course home-cooked breakfast was the best I've ever had at a B&B. And all dietary restrictions were respected. It was a very peaceful and inviting setting -- I would stay longer next time!

United StatesWe have no negatives. It would have been fun to be able to use the shortcut to our destination but our host contacted us prior to our arrival that the water was too deep to safely cross the water in our vehicle so we wisely took the longer, but safer, route to the lovely country home.
What an amazing first ever experience staying in B&B! Ray and Katie were the most amazing hosts/chefs we could ever dream of meeting and truly enjoying. Our accommodations were first class with every possible comfort awaiting our arrival including a delicious birthday cheesecake and sparkling wine in our room. The grounds were immaculate and the breakfasts were so delicious. My dietary needs were heeded beyond my expectations! What delicious plates were served with such attention to presentation. We especially loved chatting with our hosts who are fascinating and truly focused on providing a magnificent experience for their guests. We feel so fortunate to have this first B&B experience be the best--who could top Casa Paloma?

There is not a single detail overlooked to make sure that your stay is peaceful, comfortable and that you are well fed. The breakfasts are delicious, substantial and beautifully presented. The hosts are a delight to interact with, but never intrusive. We would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to everyone we know! Thank you so much for a very lovely stay.
