Reaction from staff when informed of having been threatened by and forced to give a bribe to traffic police, when driving to Paje. If this happened jn my country, hotel management would have taken details and reported it to authorities. "Relax" is not an appropriate response. Not a big issue for us,, but electricity was down alot.

Limited seating on the pool and beach.

Spacious appartement with air conditioning, drinking water, working kitchen, good internet and a balcony. The hotel complex is on the beach with beautiful views and near all the other restaurants and animated spot in Paje. There are some seating area near the pool and the beach but when the hotel is full it can be hard to find space. The breakfast is good, eggs and pancakes made on the spot, and you can buy special coffees (espresso, etc.). Staff is very friendly.

Our stay was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food at the restaurant is very delicious. The breakfast was good with many choices that suits everyone. The location and the view from the room was really great. Beach front, but also not far from the Paje center. Would definitely recommend.

Generators were often used to supplement the power when city power was cut. But not all the time. We had some very hot times at night. And one afternoon when we returned from the beach there was no power and no water for showering. The Swahili night was overpriced considering it was just food. No additional cultural content. (No live music due to death of former president). Food was good, but no ugali!! Or maharagwe, chapati, kisamvu...it could have been more authentic!

Great spot, good view of the sea, clean and tidy pool and pool area. Great breakfast. They arranged the spice tour/return taxi to Stone Town.bi love the fridge and hot drinks station.

Only complaint that I would have, and it has nothing to do with the hotel, it has everything to do with the electric system within all of Africa and especially Tanzania and Zanzibar. There is not enough power generated to support the country and therefore air conditioning was not available some of the nights.

The restaurant provided excellent food and a lot of different choices I had booked an apartment and it was extremely spacious and very comfortable. The staff could not have the nicer and more helpful. Location was right on the beach, excellent

Best hotel we stayed in Zanzibar. Nice big rooms, very clean, good aircon, kettle in the room, nice view, good breakfast. After Paje we went to Kendwa but we wanted to come back as all it was much better in Paje and frendlier people. With the sea the tide was not so terrible, so we could swim in the Ocean every day. Hotel has also reasonble prices of food and alcoholic drinks.

There is a city/tourist tax that wasn't written in booking, and we pay at the property.

We met the best staff there! All of them were really friendly, fast and with good level in English (it's not like that everywhere on the island). Perfect location for tourists and kitesurfers. There is a wonderful restaurant and surf school. Rooms are very spacious and clean. We had a great time in the hotel!

Paje's great feature is its location on the beach. The rooms are nice enough, not fancy. (But then, who comes here to hang in a hotel room?) There are a couple of more expensive and luxurious hotels very close by, but we have no regrets for staying here.

Absolutely nothing.

It's a lovely resort, right on the beach. The propertly and rooms are kept immaculately. The restaurant and bar provides wonderful cosy and comfortable seating areas where the hours just fly by as you enjoy the excellent food, music and atmosphere. The staff are simply superb. Service is quick and efficient, and so friendly. My elderly mom was with me, and I could not express my gratitude enough for their attention and concern for her. We are already planning our return next year!
