Bed was very firm - ok for me, wife would have liked it softer. Breakfast was same every day but thats kind of understandable - a bean to cup coffee maker would be good as well as option to have fruit smoothies already made up.

Good location with numerous bars and restaurants close by if not dining / staying in (we chose breakfast option over all inclusive cos we like to go out and try other places). Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Lovely manicured gardens. WiFi was solid and good - no issues. Would recommend.

Food lacked variety, excursion was over priced and location meant it was hard to experience the island

Good was really poor. They serve same food everyday. Same flavours from breakfast to dinner.

The location of the resort is right on the beach front. Perfectly clean swimming pools and the staff is really friendly

Facilities are average for price. The Food was also average if compared to nearby hotels located in Nungwi and Kendwa that are in the same price range. The food variety was more pork based so for non pork eaters variety is very little. Better to take the half board or full board as the food is expensive and the menu is limited to buffet menu mostly so either way on Ala carte the waiter will get you from buffet when you order and the price is expensive (for Tanzania) around $10 per dish. Not being able to receive booking payment on site is a let down as local Tanzanians many don’t use credit cards to pay online.

The staff go above and beyond especially in the restaurant (my wife has a phobia with cats so they made sure the cats don’t come near her in the restaurant). Location is amazing. Extended check out for 40min free of charge.

If we had to find something to improve, maybe the rooms could use a bit of refurbishment. About the food I would expect more fresch fish.

Perfect location, very clean rooms, beautiful beach and pools, very good buffet and extremely kind staff. ASANTE SANA!

Wifi needs urgently to be improved, bad wifi in the rooms, outside works quite well. So not recommended for work when needed wifi. Main pool looks on the pictures bigger, it‘s quite small, but still nice ocean view and enjoyable. Also on the pictures it showes much less sunbeds, when arriving it is crowded with sunbeds. But when you get a spot more on the side you can easily ignore them. Gym looks super old and odd, nothing you really would like to train inside.

This Hotel has a good price performance ratio, so that we extended two nights more. Hotel facility looks qute, a bit like a small village. The personal very friendly, good morning buffed with freshly made eggs and pancackes, nice beach area, good shower in the room.

The only issue was the large number of Maasai on the beach, but compared to other beaches, they weren't persistent when you said no.

The location was fantastic. When the tide is low, you can walk all the way to Kendwa beach. The tide was very minimal. The breakfast options were quite adequate and tasty. The bar staff and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to all of them.

Would be nice to have a free bottle of water and not have to worry about losing towels (towel cards) and modernise the safe (to be code/ electric vs key). Internet on and off.

Location is great - beachfront and has white powder beach feeling like stepping on flour, and not much of seaweed. Breathtaking view of the sea and sunset. 5 min walk to the small town or restaurants. Lots of choices for excursion. Hotel itself is beautiful and well managed. Staff friendly. 3 swimming pools. Food was ok at fair prices. Rooms are air conditioned and very clean. Good value for money.

Not enough activities at the hotel. Became a little boring at times. The menu was also boring. Dessert was limited. For example, my family and I didn't like the dessert but only ate the pineapples. Suddenly we were restricted to the quantity we could take. This was cheap! Shower in my bathroom was broken, water filled the bathroom floor each time we showered.

Staff were very friendly yet professional. However, my grandson had a birthday, on July 30th, we requested a birthday cake, with the traditional singing and dancing, but HE DID NOT GET THIS BIRTHDAY wish. We requested one day before. It was confirmed, but never happened. I liked the shows after dinner.

Breakfast had loads of choice but for English people it would be good to have consistent options eg bacon and baked beans each day instead of just one each day.The egg stations are great. The Masaii on the beach are a bit annoying but just be firm and polite and keep walking! The security guards were seen to step in if they can see guests getting hassled.

A lovey hotel in a fantastic spot on a beautiful beach.Lovely early morning beach walks. The hotel has security guards who patrol the beach and ensure only My Blue guests can enter the hotel grounds. Three lovely swimming pools with one- infinity pool- overlooking the beach.A great spot to relax and people watch.Lots of sunbeds even when full. The sunsets are directly ahead and stunning. You can walk along the beach at night for 5- 10 mins where there are bars and restaurants with a great relaxed vibe. Food is good quality and plentiful..they have different set ups each night for meals, sometimes setting up the restaurant on the beach. The effort the staff go to is incredible! There was traditional entertainment at night. We did not take evening meal but could take ad- hoc for $20 per person, so we mixed these nights with meals locally..Mama Mia restaurant was grea and loved Makofi restaurant. The staff at My Blue restaurant and bars were really friendly.Prepare for the areas around the hotels in Zanzibar to be unkempt..at first we were disappointed with our arrival at My Blue -however- we have since seen far worse in Zanzibar and My Blue is a great mix.Its top end mid range..not the luxury of Royal Zanzibar but then you are not paying those prices ! We moved to Paje..didn't like it (very windy- no sunsets- no relaxing beach due to wind) so are going back to My Blue for 2 more nights. We know that we will have a lovely experience here to end our holiday. We are very fussy English guests and we found My Blue to have everything we needed. Enjoy!

A four star resort that doesn’t even leave two bottles of water in the room?! And, there is no decent real coffee at breakfast, just mono doses of instant coffee! Apart from the environmental concerns that such behaviour raises, it’s such a poor offer! Even guesthouses would have better options!

Amazing sea and beach, great that we could check out at twelve and still use the beach facilities in the afternoon. Location is great, less crowded than kendwa and less hustle from the Masai and beach boys. Prices are faire. The resort is pretty and well kept, especially the gardens, not too big nor crowded. Room was spacious and had a nice balcony.
