Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaBeautiful swimming pool, lot of shadow around. Immediately near to the sea. Looking like private resort for few couples. If you need to rest, calm and quiet place, this is it. Paje and Jambiani are 2 km far away from this gorgeous place.

CanadaI can’t think of anything I didn’t like. It’s a bit of a drive to get to jambiani but I stopped and visited the Jozani forest on the way. Besides if you want peace, quiet and tranquility this is the place to be.
The property and location is beautiful. Everything is well taken care of and maintained. The food is delicious ! Hot water in the showers. Lovely little bungalow and great staff.

ItalyCommunications before check-in were difficult (no answer to phone calls and messages via Booking app).
The lodge is placed in a very quiet area between Paje and Jambiani, which can be reached both by walking on the beach (during low tide hours). The restaurant, swimming pool, and rooms are very nice. The staff is ready to answer your questions and offer optional services (eg, we went snorkeling in Jambiani for a honest price).

RomaniaSpacious, clean bungalows with a generous bathroom, all in a garden with a lot of vegetation and a lot of shade. The bungalows have minimal but sufficient furnishing facilities. The beds are very comfortable and have mosquito net. Where else can you sleep in a bed with a carved wooden canopy at this price? Linen is changed every day, including beach towels. The location is located right next to the beach, you just have to go down a few steps. The location is halfway between Paje and Jambbiani, where you can reach it in an easy walk on the beach. It all depends on the ebb and flow times. We had a bungalow without air conditioning, but we didn't feel the heat. The space ventilates very well due to the windows closed only with mesh and ceiling fans. The advantage is that you can hear the roar of the ocean. The disadvantage is that you can also hear everything that is being discussed outside, and if you have noisy neighbors it could be disturbing. In the garden there are many places where you can relax, hammocks, beds, swings scattered here and there among the trees, in the shade or in the sun. The pool is not big but it is not crowded either. There is a lot of silence. There are many flowers, and through the trees you can even see monkeys. There are hammocks, beds and swings on the beach as well. On the beach there are only a few people at distances of hundreds of meters. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, a delicious freshly squeezed juice, coffee at discretion on each table (French press or instant), and eggs served in various ways. Maybe a little diversification should be done, not just eggs. You can eat at lunch and dinner, the food is good at reasonable prices. The staff is very kind. Wifi exists only in the terrace area of the reception-restaurant and it works well

SwitzerlandJust a small recommendation but it's only my taste. The rooms are nice and big it could need a little bit more decoration like pictures at the wall. But just a small thing.
Mbuyuni Beach Village is beautifully situated in the green. The complex is an oasis to relax and the accommodation is very well maintained and the pool invites you to relax. The breakfast consists of fresh fruit, toast, egg of your choice and a delicious fresh fruit juice. It is located between Paje and Jambiani, so especially in the evening when it is dark you are dependent on a means of transport, which can be organized by the hotel. The bungalows are very large and spacious. We had a very nice and relaxing stay. We would come back anytime.

United StatesBreakfast is appreciated, but offering a little variety ( even just 2 options to select from) would be a nice addition!
A really nice property right on the beach. The room was simple but the fan was sufficient to keep it cool. The restaurant offers lots of food choices and there was always a vegetarian option available for us. The pool is quite nice and has lots of shaded areas to sit in around it. The property never felt crowded and you could always find a quiet place to relax and enjoy the view. The property isn't " close" to either village ( Jambiani or Paje) so it is quieter, but it also means that if you do want to go to town, it's about a 40 minute walk. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

CanadaThe food was amazing and the breakfast had lots of fresh fruit and juice every morning. The location was perfect, views of the beach everywhere. The pool was a nice bonus. They have very nice seats along the beach to rest and relax in, either in the shade or in the sun. I would highly recommend this place as a relaxing, quiet, and great costumer service spot. The staff were wonderful.

United KingdomMbuyuni has amazing grounds. We enjoyed having places to relax by the ocean including beds by the beach in a cove. It’s a very comfortable environment day and night to relax. And then they feed you😀….I loved my time. The food had me eating 3 meals a day. The service from the team was very well coordinated. The staff I liked as they made for such a calm peaceful atmosphere. I didn’t have to chase for anything. Their service was on point. The location is away from the populated beaches so I cannot wait to come back be it to stay or for food and a calm relaxing afterboon. Thanks for making my stay memorable. I’ll be back.
