Fine for 2 nights passing through Arusha.

My booking said that the room was “boasting a balcony with city views”. I wish I could post a picture of the view! There was no balcony and the view was a junk yard.

Staff were good, it was clean and the breakfast was pretty good.

I was travelling around the country, in 10 hotels. This was by far the worst in Tanzania. The images of the rooms are from another hotel. The listing is not to be believed. - Despite booking months in advance, was messaged 30 minutes before arrival that the hotel was full and I’d be placed somewhere else. - When arriving at reception, told there was room, but I’d have to pay double (in cash despite saying cards are accepted). - Staff are sullen, ungracious and dishonest. Suspect the reception staff are pocketing the ‘cash difference’ from the prices listed on this website and weren’t happy I wasn’t going to comply. Suspicious of the ask to change hotel as well. - Eventually was given a ‘standard’ room, despite paying for a ‘superior’. It was filthy. Shower room so bad I felt like I needed a shower after using it! Toilet leaking dirty water. Rubbish on floor in room. - Even the ‘standard’ room looks nothing like the pictures, which must of a different hotel! The ‘Mountain View’ advertised is actually just a mountain of burnt out cars below the window. - Unsealed wires hanging down from the ceiling. - Room key didn’t work, needing to be refreshed after leaving room each time. Safety lock on door broken as well. Didn’t trust to leave my things in the room alone. - Fridge didn’t work.

    - The fact I could leave after one night. - The fact I can now warn other travellers about this place - The air con was very quiet (although this was because - unsurprisingly - it didn’t work)

Not much I didn’t like. I got more than I expected for a 3 star hotel.

The staff and manager were extremely helpful respectful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious. Solomon the manager answered all my questions on WhatsApp before I got there and did the same during my stay. He even walked with me to show me where the atm was, and to any other shops that I needed. Dry cleaning was returned after about 2 hours and very reasonably priced. It was located in the middle of the city centre so you could experience the vibrancy of the city.

Friendly and Kind Staff but the facility needs improvement in terms of room ambiance

    1. The breakfast had very limited options. They could improve on that. 2. Two pull-down windows lacked handles making it a bit difficult to shut them. 3. The bathroom needs renovation to make it look appealing (a bit worn out) and the housekeepers could do better in terms of cleanliness. 4. Had to pay extra for a room with the mountain view. The Double Standard Room listed on booking.com said "mountain view", which when shown to us, it didn't have the view. 5. For a room with the mountain view, you need to pay extra for the Executive Room (an additional $20 a day), which as at this writing wasn't listed on booking.com as yet.

    1. Friendly and Helpful Staff. 2. Wonderful Mountain View (Mount Meru) 3. Secure car parking.
