Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Hong KongMold growing on the wall in bedroom and bathroom ceiling. Major areas were clean like the bed, but some tables had a fine layer of dust around the edges and some areas of the countertop.
Location was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful, they even provided a scale to weigh your luggage. Being able to look onto the street from the bathroom was interesting.

The property were renovated compare with last year, which made it more comfortable. House keeping changed our towel and 2 bottles of water eveyday, even we didn't request for cleaning, so nice of them! Thank You for the awesome stay and keep up the good work!

Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find the room was not very clean, with a dirty fridge adding to the discomfort. Additionally, despite booking a room with a double bed, we were provided with two separate blankets, which was not the expected arrangement.
I recently stayed at a property booked through Booking.com, and I must say I was pleased with the overall experience. The location was fantastic, with close proximity to the metro and a vibrant, trendy street nearby. Being within walking distance of some noteworthy landmarks added to the convenience. The combination of accessibility and a lively atmosphere made my stay enjoyable.
