Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBugs …. Oh my goodness … so many flying, nippy things! Bring spray and keep your room door shut!! Note - it’s cash payment for accom … we didn’t have cash and it was a bit awkward!!
As soon as you walk into the hotel grounds, you feel relaxed, the aesthetic is so beautiful. Bohemian- loads of comfy sofa areas, green and colourful planting, a roaring fire in the evening and fabulous views. Dinner and breakfast are buffets - plentiful fresh and delicious - and relaxed. The rooms are huts/sheds with balconies. Pretty basic I suppose but we thought they were wonderful - comfy beds with decent bathroom and eco features. We used the lovely yoga platform in the trees for a self guided session. There is also a small plunge pool but we didn’t use it as the beach ( a 5 minute walk with a well stocked shop on the way) is delicious for a swim. And there’s a hotel on the beach front with a large affinity pool you can use for the price of lunch or a cocktail ( if you need a pool). We stayed two nights and didn’t want to leave!

DenmarkThis place has a special place in my heart. If you need a break from Öludeniz and tourists; Turan Hill is the right place, pure relaxation and de-stressing. This beautiful oasis in the Faralya area will enchant you with its unique charm and beauty. It will feed your soul. The nature is so impressive and a feast for the eyes. The food is made with love- Tasty and healthy. The staff is super friendly and welcoming (like a small family). It is super clean here and the place is well maintained. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach, with beautiful rocks and dramatic waves. We will definitely come back to this beautiful gem in Faralya. We will be back without a doubt. I miss it already. Thank you very much Turan Hill.

United KingdomThis is a lovely hotel and retreat with excellent food and really friendly staff. The place is quiet, clean and calm with excellent food. The manager Zainab, Mart at the restaurant and the yoga instructor Gokhan were particularly helpful and fantastic. We liked the place so much we extended our trip by three more nights.

PortugalOnly downside is getting there but you will have that with pretty much any other accommodation in the area and the staff at the Turan Hill are very helpful at giving you all the best tips on how to get there, where to park, arranging transportation ect. So in the end they make it easy for you. Also, despite the room being super clean when we arrived it would make sense if they had a daily cleaning service.
The location is idyllic, the view is breathtaking, the garden and place is very well looked after, the staff is kind and helpful and the food is great. We were traveling with an 8 month old and they did their best as well to accommodate to our babies food needs by cooking some salt free soups and preparing cooked fruit purees.

SwedenSince our house was located in a relatively 'busy' part of the grounds, there was a bit of activity during the night. Not disturbing in itself, really just people walking by and cats making noice from time to time, but as the walls were thin, we heard everything. I would recomend bringing some airplugs as I am a light sleeper:)
The atmosphere at Turan Hill is something out of the ordinary. You immediately feel as if you are in paradise upon arrival! The views are stunning, the nearness to the beach perfect, and the food incredibly authentic. We stayed in the Serene room, and although the accomodation itself is simple, everything is clean and well thought of. Everything was absolutely wonderful.

KazakhstanProbably nothing. One thing that surprised me was a rooster who woke me up by crowing in the middle of the night, but this was rather hilarious thing rather than annoying.
Our stay at Turan Hill was amazing, thanks to the caring and professional staff. We arrived in the middle of the night, and despite the time, Emre organized a transfer for us from the airport that went smoothly. We were hungry after the flight, and though the kitchen was closed, Emre took care of it and we had the most delicious cheese pastry and veggies upon arrival. Both managers Emre and Zeynep and all other staff of the hotel were super friendly and professional, thank you for that! The place itself is magnificent. We stayed in Bamboo Cozy room which has a lovely terrace where one can read, chill and enjoy the view of the sea and mountains. There are a lot of local cats that makes the place even cosier. Interior is not fancy but there is everything one needs. The location of the place is perfect, it is not far away from the beach (though the route might be tough for elderly), and there are routes for hiking as well. We did the Kabak Valley route that starts right near the hotel.

This is a truly unique place with an incredible location, gorgeous gardens and a stunning view of the mountains and sea. It's really rustic and might not suit everyone's taste, but we loved it and came back after visiting last year. It's a bit like living on a farm, with cockerels crowing each morning and cats sharing the space. The stars at night feel almost within touching distance. The staff fit with the ethos of the place and are always helpful. It's within walking distance of the beach, which means you can visit whenever you want. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic, as well as being healthy and beautifully presented.

United StatesYou’re paying for location and ambiance so you have to accept that the rooms are a little rustic with a little “unfinished” island feel to them. Our bungalow was immediately next to the dining/lounge so not as quiet as we’d hoped. The beach isn’t that close. A 5-10 min walk.
Beautiful location in nature on the side of a mountain. A little slice of paradise. Rustic yet refined. Calming and peaceful. The food was VERY good and the staff very nice, especially Salim.

United Arab EmiratesGreat Location, Beautiful Ambiance and Amazing Staff which makes you feel home. It was a shock to me when I arrived as I expected something different but as soon as I got used to the place I have realized that this is how it must be for a full relaxation out of the city crowd and to be able to connect with the nature. The food selection was limited but very tasty and good enough for the place and the experience. The Whole team was amazing and anything we wanted was always attended with a smile.
