There was nothing to not like. Everything was wonderful.

Great location next to Istiklal Street, three-minute walk to Sishane Metro and Funicular. You have the best cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and super clean. The Staff went above and beyond to help us in every way possible. We arrived at 1:00 am and they organized the transfer from Istanbul Airport to hotel. You can contact them via Whatsapp anytime and they answer all your questions. We had breakfast at places the staff recommended which were very good like Varuna Gezgin, located just in front of hotel. Food was very good. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Everything was good except breakfast. They don't have breakfast. There are many cafes and restaurants around, but I would still prefer breakfast at the hotel, so you’ll have less to think about where to go to eat in the morning.

The location was excellent. The staff was amazing. initially I was planning to stay there for a day, but at the end I stayed for 5 days. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I should thank Mr. Mustafa who was very helpful. Definitely will be back.

Im a repeat customer in this beautiful quaint hotel. All I could vouch for is the hotel location is very strategic in its location, close to Istiklal Street. Rooms are well maintained and all the amenities at par with 4 star hotels. Additionally I would like to highlight that beyond the excellent facilities are the brilliant staff and crew of The Hotel Story Pera. I want to thank Ufuk, Furkan, Mustafa, and Ihsan for taking care of us over and above our needs. They helped us settle down, we were able to check in earlier, they took care of our luggage and gave us golden tips on where to go within the area. Keep up the good work!

The 10 meters between the hotel and Istiklal Caddesi is quite steep. Be careful if you have heavy suitcases or if the road is wet. There are also vehicles to watch out for.

The welcome upon arrival was great and we were provided with a map and recommendations without asking. Reception is available 24 hours a day. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location couldn't be better, just 10 meters from the lower end of Istiklal Caddesi and a minute's walk from the entrance to the metro. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully designed rooms - felt like real luxury for a very reasonable price. Great location and quiet in spite of proximity to the main street where it is really buzzing. Special praise goes to the fabulous team of guys (all men) working at the reception desk. They were all so courteous, helpful with information and made such an attractive and well-educated impression. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Nothing really - perhaps a better reading light in the sitting area of the room.

This is a charming and very pleasant hotel. Although just around the corner from Istanbul's busiest shopping street, it is quiet, and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. It is close to transport, museums and many restaurants (including an excellent place for breakfast just across the street)! The room was large, very clean and comfortable. The hotel arranged airport transfers and provided good information. The price is reasonable. I would happily stay there again.

It was a very nice place to stay . The location was excellent. It is near the Metro ,funicular and tram stations. The recommended restaurants were very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The only downside is that our room didn’t have a view (window looked out against a wall) but this was only minor as it didn’t really bother us. There are no on-site facilities but plenty of restaurants nearby.

Fantastic location, lovely decor, spacious and comfortable rooms and the absolute friendliest staff who are super eager to help and have lots of great recommendations.

Minor issue - my curtains didn't quite cover the window so I couldn't block the light

Loved my stay here. My room was lovely, the staff were great, and the location was ideal for me. There was so much within walking distance, including multiple public transport options for when you do need to go to another part of town. The hotel is on a relatively quiet street but near a busy street, which made it feel safe coming and going at any time (which is important to me as a solo traveller). Will definitely stay here again next time.

Whilst we didn’t hear the main Istiklal St noise, there was some noise from the small street below, however it’s probably impossible to get a totally quiet room in that area.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to get a great room and early check in which was really appreciated after our long flight from Australia. It is location very close to Istiklal St and only a few minutes walk from the M2 metro entrance and the funicular railway. They provided complementary coffee and biscuits in the morning.

We truly enjoyed the location, even with it being a train ride distance from the old area of the city. The staff were accommodating and friendly. They shared a printed guideline for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with places of interest to visit. Our room was large, clean, modern and well lit. It has air-conditioning and is comfortable. The background of this restored 200 year-old building is shared with you in a brochure. “The Story Pera Hotel” Lovely!

Fantastic hotel, beautiful room, comfortable, has elevator, and staff is extraordinary and understands English very well. The location is perfect, right next to Istiklal street, Metro, and the Beyoglu tunnel, 5 minutes from tram, 15 minute walk from Taksim Square. Perfect place to stay in Istanbul.
