Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesCoffee machine wasn't ever working during breakfast, but the staff were good about rotating the tables and the food for the buffet, especially for the amount of traffic they had.
Great location to the large mosques and the metro stops that can take you to other parts of town. Pretty central for all first time visitor tourist activities.

United KingdomThe breakfast had no variety and offer. If that is improved, this would make this an excellent hotel.
The staff are super friendly, in particular the cleaners and reception staff. The rooms are very comfortable and all the facilities you need are available. Brilliant shower! Depends on why you are coming to Istanbul, so if you are there for a shopping trip the location is really good, with all the transport links nearby. The area (Aksaray) is very crowded, but once you're in the room, you don't hear any of that.

United StatesWith it being a smaller local hotel chain, the walls were a bit thin I believe as you could hear if folks were talking loudly next door or upstairs sometimes. Luckily, that wasn’t a major issue at all and only happened once or twice during our stay. The bathrooms were great too, but just a tad bit small.
The location of the hotel was great. Was within a walking distance to the main attractions, getting a taxi was no problem, and the hotel itself was right in the middle of markets and shops. So you could walk right out and do some shopping or grab some fresh fruit. The staff were great. Rooms were always cleaned and fresh sheets were put on daily.

ItalyOur room phone was not working. I asked three times to fix it and each time they told they will, but never did. Later I found that the cable was cut ended and left loose under the drawer. It was not even connected to the wall./// My credit card had been declined by hotel three days before my travel and it was so frustrating. After resolving the issue with my card limit, I contacted hotel asking their verification. I contacted them repeatedly through email and call (I was paying international call fees) and messages and SMS without receiving a single reply./// Too much noise from other rooms (adjacent and upper floor) and corridor. For example somebody in the next room had set alarm for 4 A.M (I suppose it was because of time zone difference) which made their phone vibrate and ring for three (yes three!!) hours and awakened all three of us. It has not awakened the person who had set it, though! The next two days that phone awakened us from 7 A.M. still vibrating until we left the room for breakfast at 8 A.M./// Room size was too small for a 4star hotel. The lobby was too tiny as well./// Beds were not the most comfortable.///
The location was great.// Breakfast was very good and diverse.// Hotel had restaurant and bar corner./// Staff were polite.

Qatar- breakfast closing time was very early 10:00am , - cleaning (housekeeping not very clean, they only fold blankets (not change them), and do a fast cleaning without details. - housekeeping emergencies are not available, you will need to wait for the next day if you spell anything on the floor accidentally. (my baby spelled medicine on the floor). - the main street is closed by Police from 09:30am, so when you arrive you should expect to carry your luggage's from the nearest street across the hotel street which is all shops and crowded. - staff barley understand English Except one guy. (I dont remember his name). - service provided is waaay below expectation of a 4 stars hotel. - Lobby is very tiny and restaurant lack of cleanness of plates and few options are available. and its not working at night time. - Old building, but not that bad
- location is nearby lots of shops , specially Tram station and metro station (Aksaray), and Yenikapı metro station. - staff were friendly somehow, specially Muhammed (day time duty). - they have a spa, but i dint get the chance to give it a visit. -

United KingdomNothing at all that I didn't like about the hotel.
What a great find this hotel this is. We have stayed in Istanbul many times and I can tell you what you get can be very hit and miss! But not here. The room was spacious and clean with everything you could need. There was a safe, hairdryer, slippers, toiletries, fridge, kettle and all was in working order. The beds were comfortable and we had lots of towels and pillows. The reception staff were really friendly and smiley and the cleaning lady was really sweet. The Breakfast was EXCELLENT a really good choice, all very fresh and in a clean area. Always lots of cutlery and plates etc. Wifi was a good signal in our room and the aircon was working perfectly. If I were to be picky the bathroom was a little dated but had everything needed and the shower was good. Location of this hotel is perfect. Literally next to the tram stop, 5 minutes from Alksary metro and 10 minutes from Yenikapi Metro. The bus stop for the shuttle to Istanbul airport is just a few minutes away. Loads of shops and restaurants nearby and a really busy bustling area. You can get transport so easily or walk to many of Istanbul's main attractions. This is 100% my new fav hotel in Istanbul and I will def go back.
