What I liked the most isn’t the hotel itself, but the staff. They’re all extremely amazing. The first night was so bad because of other drunk annoying guests that kept making loud noises all night, yet when i raised this, the team ensured that we got another room with more light, better wifi and on a calm floor (the terrace floor). The breakfast was good as well, and the location is so strategic.

I stayed two weeks by myself in this lovely place and the staff made me feel I was at home. Room was very clean and comfortable, very silent and I couldn’t hear anything from other rooms or hall. The breakfast was very fresh and healthy, with a lot of options every day. The location is exceptional, Istanbul is a huge city but if you enjoy walking you can reach everywhere from there. Everything is great but the best is the staff for sure! Thank you Ihsam, Aysude, Huseyein, Duygu, Ömer, Enes and all the rest of the team! You are the best!

I really liked staying in this hotel! We really enjoyed our vacation with our family close. The hotel is so clean. The location also is so good and the stuff so welcoming and hospitable so friendly cleaning service was really good. Breakfast was so delicious. The Hotel with a lot of perfectionism and professionalism in its own , this place is amazing if you want to stay in the heart of Istanbul , Galata tower , Taksim square is on few minutes away from the place. The staff was mind blowing and so professional , they served us with the their best , this place was neat and clean and cleaning staff was doing amazing job everyday. The receptionists ( Hussain , Ufuk , Enes , and other guy who was at night shift , they were really nice and friendly , and their guest management girl at breakfast ( Aysude ) she was so friendly and amazing she surprised us with so nice sweets in our rooms. Meroddi Bagdatliyan is amazing place to live under the management of amazing staff.

Location of the hotel is close to the tram and it's on walking distance from other tourist places. It is important for us that the hotel we stay in is clean and here we had our room cleaned and fresh towels brought every day. Staff is really friendly and helpful, breakfast was decent and we got a thank you gift on our last day.

The AC wasn't super reliable and it sometimes felt like it was not working at all. The elevator was super sketchy and would bounce around, which made me feel a bit unsafe.

The staff was absolutely exceptional, I have never experienced such a level of hospitality and friendliness from a hotel staff. The room was very spacious, had a mini bar, lock and toiletries. The location was great, right by the metro and two blocks from Gala Tower. Breakfast had many options, not just your basic Turkish breakfast.

Very friendly staff who gave plenty of hints & tips for travelling around Istanbul. In particular, Enes (receptionist) was very welcoming on check-in & each morning. Easy breakfast. Very convenient location for Galata Tower and a nice cafe opposite the hotel. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again if/when in Istanbul

Wonderful cozy hotel near Galata tower. Very nice room and bathroom, very convenient bed. There is beautiful terrace on the roof. Amazing breakfast, everything is very fresh and tasty. Not replacing toiletries in the bathroom and tea bags in the room. Not even replaced the cup of tea in the room. They just washed it with a little water and placed it back like it was clean. But there were left the stains of the previous use. Curtains don't fully cover the window.

Everything was on the highest level! I loved everything in this hotel premises and in the area: -hotel is super close to the underground/metro -hotel us cosy and very clean -breakfast is SUPER DELICIOUS -every day cleaning of the room, changing the towels, updating tea/coffee and the cups -hotel stuff is Unbelievably FRIENDLY -hotel packed us lunch boxes because we were leaving at 4;45 I will definitely recommend this hotel in Istanbul! (I stayed last year in GALATHAN hotel and was very disappointed! Do not go there, stuff was very rude, and sometimes aggressive!)

Maybe the wide beds could have been more comfortable.

Excellent service, excellent staff. Very good room with a lot of windows and light. Very good bathroom, excellent brealfast. really good value for money. The location is right in the heart of Galata and very close to the exit of the Funicular. The staff also proposed a nice non touristic fish restaurant, which is very important since the restaurants price in Galata and in the touristic areas of Istanbul are out of control. We will certainly be back.

This is actually a review for the Meroddi Barnathan hotel. Same owner, but we got upgraded to the other place when we arrived. What a fantastic place. The staff is so helpful. We arrived super early at 7am. Unfortunately room was not ready, but the staff offered us to have the buffet breakfast to start the day. An excellent buffet breakfast with lots of choices of local and western foods. Just amazing. After breakfast we walked around a little through the Galata area. At 12 we decided to check if the room was ready but we had to wait a bit more and the staff offered us the lunch buffet in the Barnathan hotel on the amazing rooftop. Same style very extensive buffet. So an excellent start of the day. At 13:00 the room was ready. A beautiful room all in style of the 130 years old building. Just exquisite, you feel like royalty staying there. Special thanks to Mehmet at the reception for being super helpful and the guys at the reception of Bagdatliyan as well. Highly, highly recommended.

The perfect day in a perfect hotel. It’s the best location ever you have the Metro and tunel station next to the hotel. The staff always is so nice and helpful. especially aysude from guest relations does everything to makes you feel super comfortable. I would always come back and recommend this Hotel to everyone who is coming to Istanbul and wants to have a nice stay! The rooms are very clean and big. If you have any wish, all of them are so helpful. Also I would recommend the barnathan terrace. Perfect view over galata.

The room's AC was not working.

The first thing we noticed as we entered our room was its cleanliness. Even though it was a small room, it was clean and comfortable. Classic European style room. Huge shout-out to the wonderful staff especially the staff at the reception and the lady we meet at the breakfast section (I think her name is Aysude). Everyone was kind and helpful. They even gave us a return gift. Very thoughtful!
