Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

RussiaThe only thing I didn't like is Wi-Fi. It requires to login every day (sometimes even twice), that really annoys. The connections was slow, from time to time it was not possible even just to google something due to low speed.
Awesome location! Everything you need is not more than 5 minutes walk: public transport (izban, tram, bus, ferry), shops, restaurants, ATMs, embankment. At the weekend it was quite noisy at nights, but it was expected. Staff is really helpful and kind. Very taste and various breakfast. Cozy room with a nice view.

The location is great, direct in the centre of the city and very close to the metro station. The room was clean and well decorated. Front desk stuff is always helpful and friendly, my kind regards to them. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so i can’t say anything about it. Highly recommended.

Very centrally located, especially if you want to go out at night. The décor of the hotel was fun and the vibe perfectly fit the city. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English well.

CanadaThe air conditioning is turned completely off until the summer officially begins. I visited in late march/april- the weather outside was 28 degrees Celsius and I was unable to control my AC. It made it very difficult to sleep as the room was so hot and stuffy, especially after I showered. When I complained to the staff, they graciously gave me a better room, but the issue with the AC was still there (all rooms are like this). Additionally, because the hotel is so centrally located, it stays veryyyyy loud outside until about 2am every single night and there are no rooms that are not located on the street. Mornings are quiet though so you can sleep in if you have time. If you’re a light sleeper, you probably won’t get any rest. This is not the fault of the hotel though.
The staff were very kind and helpful, the location was fantastic (walking distance to almost everything), the rooms were clean.

United KingdomI parked my car in front of the hotel and walked-in into the place for check-in. He told I need to move my car to the private parking space literally 40 meter away after the 7pm because police are picking up the cars. I asked him that I can do it rightaway but he said to me these times -around 4pm the time I check-in- is okay no need to worry. He called me 5 min later that told me that my car has been picked-up by the police. I had to spend 2 hours and pay 600 TL fine to get it back. When I ask to the refund of the fine, because I literally done what exactly he said to me, he told me literally "you talk to much!! I would have pay the money but I do only have 50 TL lol".. I couldn't find a way to get in touch with the hotel manager or superior officer that I can escalate the case.

FranceTwo Bad examples of miscommunication between the receptionists that made me really angry. - Before my arrival I sent a message on Booking asking if the hotel knows a taxi company that can drive me to different places around Izmir, I received a positive response. But During my check in, the afternoon receptionist told me that I could take a taxi in front of the hotel and check the price myself. So for two days I used the taxis in front of the hotel. Two days after, I spoke with the morning receptionist (different person than the afternoon one) about other places i wanted to visit, he told me that he could call a taxi company they often work with and make good price, or organise a private tour with a guide for me. When he showed the price he got for me, I realised that it was way cheaper than the taxi I took in front of the hotel for two days. Basically the afternoon receptionist made me spend a fortune knowing the hotel has better negociated prices with taxis - After 5 nights already paid on booking.com I asked to extend my stay one more night.The morning receptionist told me that I would pay during the checkout (which is pretty common in other hotels, I wasn't surprised) Two days after I was woken up by the cleaning lady who told me that paiement was needed at the reception, I told her about what I was told but after 5 hours I was called by the afternoon receptionist who told me I must pay now. I didn't like to be harrased this way and I don't think it's a way to treat a customer, who has already paid 5 nights. Clearly there is a receptionist who knows about customer service and another who doesn't. I come back to izmir in two days, I was planning to book in this hotel but after what happened I will book with Ibis.
Bedroom well furnished and well decorated, with air con. Fantastic morning receptionist who organised a private tour for me and indicated me how to get to Ephesus. Nice cleaning ladies who are always smiling.

United Arab EmiratesThere was no carpark at the hotel (your car will be towed away at the front), but there is a carpark on the same street. No room service or porter. The bathroom is small. Only a blanket on the beds. The irons (two given to us) had faulty cords and the ironing board was broken. The tv had only a Japanese channel that was spoken in English. No other English channels.
The hotel was centrally located in Izmir, within walking distance of the mall and Konak Promenade. The continental breakfast buffet in the Pub was good. (No juice or tea/coffee, except Turkish tea). There is a lift to rooms. The room was standard size, with a street view. Laundry service was good.
