Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustriaIf you want to have a room view river view, doesn't worth to pay extra for the room with panorama view. Rooms are very small. Part of the staff responsible for breakfast is not very attentive with cleaning the tables or filing up with fresh water. In fact, at every breakfast we had to ask for water. The hotel is charging 20 EUR more for airport shuttle, than you can find on booking.com
Although the street itself isn't nice at all, the location is well connected to many forms of public transport, including the famous funicular, which brings you up, near Galata tower. The view from roof terace is very nice.

The Golden City Hotel is a solid 3-4 star hotel. Everything worked perfectly. Room service came every day and always did an impeccable job. The reception was very professional and friendly. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast and its staff. With a wonderful view over the Bosphorus. Even a large wedding with loud music and celebrations ended shortly after midnight, so we could sleep well. I will gladly come again! Thank you, Golden City!

Serbiaroom hygiene is very good, everything is really cleaned regularly with no dirt when you look a bit better. location is very good as expected. view is amazing if you are lucky (as we were) to have a nice room and floor. wi-fi excellent. this rarely happens in hotels, usually you can connect and not do much with it. here the wi-fi has a strong signal and works well. restaurant on top floor has an amazing view and very good breakfast. all staff professional and helpful.

The hotel location is really good, it's got a nice view to the Bosphorus where you can see both Sultan Ahmet and Taksim side of Istanbul. In addition to that, it's just 100 meters from Halig metro station in M1 line where it's just one stop to Taksim metro station where the Taksim square and Istikhlal road are and it's just 4 stop to Aksaray metro station that take you to Sultan Ahmet side to see Hagia Sophia and the Blue mosque.

The room with the bosphoras view was great. However, you may hear the music from the passing by party boats and cruises on the bosphoras until midnight or 1 am. For light sleepers, this could be a challenge. The views are amazing if some noise doesn't bother you.
