Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast, was ok, they served traditional Turkish breakfast, would've been nice to have a little more options, especially for the kids, and more fruit. They don't clean the rooms everyday, you have to ask, but when you do they get it done. The safe in my room didn't work, but it did in my friends room.
Good location, 10 min walk to all blue mosque etc. Close by to shops, food places. Good rooms, comfortable, clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Saudi ArabiaRegarding the cleaning, although we stayed for two weeks, they changed the sheets and the towel only twice. Also, the coffee cups they didn’t change it nor clean it. They only organize the sheets and add more toilet paper instead of deep cleaning.
Helpful and nice staff. Great location.

HungaryMy stay was hindered by discomfort and practical issues: the room remained cold despite the heater being on, and the shower’s cramped size and ineffective door seal led to bathroom flooding after use.
Situated in the heart of Sultanahmet, it was remarkably convenient as it’s within walking distance from the main attractions. This central location made my visit to the area much more enjoyable and hassle-free, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the rich history and vibrant culture surrounding me.

United StatesBeing American, the breakfasts were less appealing: Nothing reminded me of a western breakfast - Turkish breakfast is usually yogurt, soft cheese, tomatoes, egg substitute, croissants, olives, hot dog slices, and really strong coffee.
THE BREAKFAST: Location of the breakfast was a dark, non inviting area for dinining. I think there was cold cereal and nothing more - I was less curious about the food because of the room.

TaiwanThey set the faucet in the shower room wrongly. Normally it is hot water on the left and cold water on the right, like the one they set it correctly to the bathroom sink. I unfortunately got a little bit burnt by the hot water.
The staff are friendly and nice. The location of the hotel is perfect. Very close to the market square

BelgiumI booked this hotel, but I was led to the Balpatek hotel which I found very weird. During my stay of four nights the room was not cleaned daily. I didn't mind, but this was not put into the description. The room was on the smaller side. Breakfast was very basic and started only at 8 AM which is (too) late when you want to visit attractions early in the morning.
The room is new and is equipped with a large bathroom and a 24 hour reception. The location in Istanbul is very central and is unexpectedly calm in the evening. The price of 306 euro for four nights in central Istanbul is very affordable.

Georgia- the hotel and room need renovation; for me our room and bathroom were a little dirty for that price of money - housekeeping service wasn't good: towels haven't been changed every day, sometimes the lady forgot to bring towel for floor after shower - we had problem with canalization (it occurred that it's prohibited to throw toilet paper into the toilet, but there were no sign about it). The housekeeping lady was so angry that even didn't make our room that day So our recommendations to the host: to consider rooms' renovation and to pay attention to housekeeping service. But thank you very much for accommodating us, we really loved Istanbul!
- the host and receptionist were very pleasant and helpful, they recommended us several attractions, give advice, usually offered tea or coffee. the host helped us with our baggage and airport taxi - Hotel is located in the center of Fatih area, 2 min to the tram line, several minutes to grand bazaar, close to Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern and Bosphorus itself - a lot of shops with clothes, cafes and restaurants were nearby - also there was a supermarket in 3 min walk from the hotel - WiFi connection was good and very stable, didn't block VPN or any websites - the room was small but ok for 2 persons

CanadaThe exact same breakfast the entire 14 days we where there. The hotel looks fine at a glance but is falling apart and an one glance at it from a building inspector would close it down. The floors get hot for no reason in certain spots, definitely going to cause a fire one day. There are also lumps all over floors and they are lifting in spots, feels like you are walking on bubble wrap. Typical hard beds too which seems to be normal in Turkey.
The staff and location. Those where the only good things about this"delux"hotel. That most assuredly is not deluxe, basic at best. Who ever gave it that name needs to go buy a dictionary.
