Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaThe bathroom shower needs a mat for when you exit. The extractor fans could use a clean, they don't suck very hard, so the bathroom becomes very humid if the door is closed during a shower.
The location was very convenient for us and the balcony attached to our unit had a cooling breeze all day long. Soundproofing is good, which helps in that active area

Perfect location, right off Taksim street, but far enough away to be quiet at night! Easy walking distance to the airport bus. Big dorm room with own bathroom - but public bathroom available, too. Both were clean. Comfy, wooden, bunk beds in my room, not those shaky metal ones ;)

United StatesThere is only one shower and restroom per floor, which isn't great. There wasn't a common area, so it was hard to meet other guests outside of the rooms.
The room was comfortable, and free lockers were provided, which was a nice touch. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. Great location next to a lot of restaurants and bars. Easy to get to the hostel from the metro.

Staff were really helpful and friendly, Ahmet and Mohammed always keep an eye out for everyone and make sure you enjoy your stay. Facilities are as listed and everything is pretty clean. Great location as well.

United KingdomNo lifts & no Kitchen (but I think normal for the area). Need more control over light being left on at terrace at night as it is next to bedroom. BUT I love this place.
Great location close to Taksim Sq so v easy to get to from airports using Havabus. Akmet was just incredible, always extremely helpful & friendly helped me in many ways, along with young Mohamed. I extended my stay twice and felt completely at home here and will return 100% when next in Istanbul. Close to the lovely Cihangir area full of character & with 100 year old bakery there. Endless supermarkets / cafes etc nearby. Don't miss out trying the delicious & very affordable pizza cooked by Ahmets brother. They have also started to do breakfast from July 23 also great.
