The host was super nice,brought us local food for breakfast even though it was not included. The houses are just in front of the beach,it’s super chill and we had a lovely time over Paul’s tiny houses.We highly recommend!

I was searching for somewhere special to spend my birthday and something told me it would be here. I wasn’t even looking at places in Koh Lanta specifically, but that’s where Walden is so that’s where we went. And it truly was just as amazing as I’d dreamed it would be. Walden is a place built and looked after with thought and care, both for its beautiful natural surroundings by the sea and for the people who stay there. Thank you Paul for creating a place that is so true to the philosophy that it’s based on. All in all: clean tiny homes equipped with everything you need; the best host; amazing beach, sea and lounging areas; great locality with massages, bars and restaurants nearby; killer sunset; heaven for animal lovers.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

I loved everything. It was so clean and comfortable. It’s such an amazing location right on the beach. Paul was a dream! He was so accommodating and generous. I really appreciated the little touches of food in the fridge and being able to use the scooter and the water equipment. He keeps the property very clean and I really wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely be returning!

Paul surprised us every morning with some delicious local snacks (sweet rice, coconut and banana based), fresh fruits and juice. There was also a moka pot and ground coffee available in the room, so we could enjoy a nice breakfast watching the sea. The beach was very calm and mostly clean.

Walking to the sea in under 30 seconds, watching it and hearing it from our bed. The rooms are larger than the photos and perfectly thought out. Paul who runs this beautiful place is also the kindest and most thoughtful host we’ve ever had (and we’ve travelled quite a bit.) He goes above and beyond to make your stay incredible and relaxing. One of the nicest places we’ve ever had the privilege to stay in! For the experience of beach access and serenity it tops any 4 & 5* star resorts/accommodations we’ve been to seeking that. Don’t miss out!

Absolutely nothing!

We had the most wonderful time at Walden and really didn't want to leave! It was our treat stay at the end of a lengthy period of travelling to celebrate some special occasions and it was everything we hoped for and more. The tiny homes Paul has created are absolutely fantastic and have everything you need for a really comfortable, enjoyable stay and they are very clean and fresh. Waking up every day to the sound of the waves and walking out onto the beach is a dream. Free use of kayaks and paddleboards is a really nice touch, as are the little breakfast packages dropped off every morning. It's a fantastic location with loads of great beach bars and restaurants nearby, as well as 7/11 and Lotus supermarkets a short walk away. Paul is a lovely, welcoming host with a super chilled and friendly vibe. We felt relaxed and at home as soon as we met him. You will not regret booking a tiny home. Thanks Paul for a really memorable stay 💗

We cannot find anything to improve

Without a doubt, Walden - Tiny Houses by the Sea is among the most amazing places we've visited during our travels. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a local and personalized experience. The attention to detail in these tiny houses is remarkable, from the well-thought-out insect nets to the exceptionally comfortable bedding. The cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations were top-notch, making us feel like every aspect had been carefully considered. It's evident that Paul himself is a seasoned traveler, as he seemed to anticipate and address every need or desire a guest might have. The love and care he has put into creating this perfect location are palpable in every detail. The stunning and peaceful beach view right out of bed adds to the overall experience. The beach is quiet, clean and has white soft sand. Paul has SUPs and Kayaks so that we could spend some time on the water watching the sunset. Paul's attentive and caring nature truly sets him apart as a host. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of fantastic. It's clear that he has a good heart and genuinely cares about his guests' well-being and enjoyment. We strongly recommend this place!

Perfect location. Perfect host. The layout of the rooms is so thoughtfully laid out. Everything you need is here. I'm not one to just 'do nothing' but something compells you to just sit on the porch, morning, afternoon and evening. The views are simply stunning and it's so peaceful. Access to all good restaurants and supermarkets etc . Paul (and Sow , which I'm sure I've spelt wrong) are fabulous hosts who want to make you comfortable... Breakfast in a morning, using the paddle boards, laundry, motorbike etc. are all no trouble. I extended my stay twice! I couldn't leave. Thanks so much.

We loved the location of the tiny homes since the property is directly at the beach. Also, you can tell Paul, the host, put so much thought into every detail so that his guests feel cozy and welcomed. Everything was perfect.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in our Walden Tiny Home! We stayed four nights and wish we could have stayed more. Paul is an absolutely incredible host and was so helpful during our stay. (Thanks so much again, Paul! We feel very fortunate to have met you along our travels.) The tiny homes are lovely, clean and very thoughtfully laid out. The location is EXCELLENT. We aren’t comfortable renting motorbikes but we had everything we could have wanted nearby: lots of shops in walking distance, massage options and great beach bars for food and live music, not to mention the perfect strip of beach for swimming! This accommodation is truly a hidden gem nestled along Khlong Nin Beach. With only five tiny houses available for rent, the experience was wonderfully private. Within the cozy 20 square meters of space, you'll find everything we needed—a bed overlooking the sea, a equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a small terrace, and a peaceful air conditioning unit. Additionally, kayaks and paddle boards are provided for extra enjoyment. The host Paul was incredibly hospitable and seemed to anticipate our needs almost telepathically. Oh, and I almost forgot the highlight: the best seats to witness the breathtaking sunset.

Exactly like you'd expect from the pictures - cute, tiny homes, with beautiful views. Helpful and friendly owner, and would absolutely stay there again. Obviously, these are tiny homes, so if you want a tourist-mobbed hotel, this isn't for you, but a really cool place right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants right there, and easy walk to a 7-11 (which, if you aren't familiar with Thailand, they are pretty much the go-to place to buy everything) and a couple of markets selling food. Highly recommend if it looks like your thing.

I stayed a total of 5 nights here in Dec/Jan 2023/24, and it was lovely. The houses are perfectly equipped and sized for solo/pair-of travellers. The location is wonderful; Klong Nin beach is an ideal mix of fun and quiet, located in a strategic spot for getting to the busy town of Saladan, the postcard perfect beaches of the south, and the more local, less resort -oriented eastern side of Koh Lanta. There are a few bars around, but you won't hear them at Walden (bounded on both sides by more relaxed spots), and at night the only sounds on offer were the shoring waves and /or morning birdsong (scooters only begin to feature around 8am). Paul the host is a star and a gentleman, and did everything in his reasonable power to help with any queries or issues I had, for which I'm extremely thankful. There are also free kayaks and bicycles, and a surprise breakfast every morning. Would stay here again, and for far longer, in a heartbeat.

Nothing - It was just what I was looking for.

The location is perfect and is situated in the middle of main strip with beach restaurants either side and an excellent selection on the main road behind. The beach is spotless with beautiful golden sand and the sea only a few strides away. Perfect for an early morning swim. The cabins are small yet compact with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. They have a lovely ginger Manx cat which made us Manxies feel right at home!

Our stay at the Tiny House was our highlight in southern Thailand. It's super clean and extremely cosy. The view of the sea is indescribable. Everything was perfect! Paul is the best host you can imagine! We will definitely come back and stay for a longer time.

We spent three wonderful weeks at Walden. The hospitality of Paul and Kia is unique. The super cozy and practically furnished tiny houses offer everything you need, but the best thing is their location right on the beach. You can literally look out of your bed directly at the sea and the beautiful sunsets. As already mentioned: Paul and Kia do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Whether you need a massage appointment or a rental scooter, just get in touch with them. You can borrow a SUP board, a kayak or a bike free of charge. And if you're lucky, you can listen to Paul play the guitar in the evening. There are many beach bars and good restaurants in the neighborhood, such as Ritcheys, where we enjoyed the fresh fish the most. There is also live music in the bars, sometimes clearly audible in Walden. It didn't bother us. But it might be different for sensitive ears. We will always remember the extremely relaxed atmosphere, the friendly hosts and the fantastic sunsets. A fantastic place to come down and enjoy.
