The location and the resort have so much potential. Hope the ongoing renovation will fix the place soon.

Great location away from the crowded beaches and resorts of Phuket. Hassan at reception was always super helpful. Mau and Leemah at the restaurant were great.

We had an issue with our pool but it required chasing the front desk 5 times since morning before it was addressed in the evening. It seems they may be understaffed or there's an ops management issue.

It was a very secluded and quiet spot. Staff were accommodating to my wife when she requested for a porridge (for me, while I was in bed with food poisoning).

The room was not with kitchen like booked and apparently they have been upgraded with no kitchen. The room was 35°c and they don’t have the ac in whilst your not in the room so the beds and everything didn’t cool down it’s generally just to hot in the villa. The slides need revamping they were fun but also cut you and area a health and safety hazard from the rough surface. Too remote. Need 2 hour notice to leave on the boat at any time. Limited choice for food and restaurants. No supermarket. Island feels very secluded. Ok for a short stay only.

The property is beautiful and unique. The ambience of the rooms is an amazing design. The views are so beautiful.

The service was inconsistent - at times you could make a request and it may not be followed through such as requesting an iron or for a cart to pick you up. At times you were given inconsistent information too, for example being told a boat would come at 1015pm as it didn't arrive at 930pm The boat service is poor - if you are travelling into resort it is supposed to come every hour on the hour and if you are travelling out it is supposed to arrive every hour on the half hour. However, this does not always happen despite booking it. Given the distance from the resort and land it really could run more frequently which would make the hotel a lot more accessible and flexible. The lack of consistency and fluidity meant we missed dinner reservations on my 30th birthday outside the hotel and therefore ate mc donalds which was disappointing. The hot tubs were very dirty with dead animals an leaves. This was not just our hot tub it was all from what we could see when we walked along our strip of suites. This was cleaned when asked but it was not accessible until this happened.

Breakfast had a good variety although we were surprised to be charged for our Latte's when we requested them to have caramel in. Rather than just be charged for the syrup we were charged for the full drink. The spa was great - I had a facial, full body Scrub and massage which was exceptional. The tennis courts were good The scenery was absolutely amazing

The beach and sea was full of jellyfishes. The house is very comfy and well-equipped but could need some minor renovation.

We really enjoyed how quiet this place is! We had booked a house at the Beach Front for relaxing. This was very big with a large private Pool. Our teens had the possibility to paddle on the sea. The breakfast offered a great variety of food. We appreciate a lot to drink a cocktail at the seafront bar after a tasteful dinner. Very good pizza, great seafood buffet, tasty Asian dishes. The hotel personnel is very friendly. It is also to notice that the boat to join the mainland complimentary is. The hotel proposes very nice excursions for ok prices. On top we were allowed to stay a few hours longer in the house as our flight was late at night. We looked for a place away from the crowded Phuket but still reachable: Barceló was just what we needed!

Poor house keeping, too late, had to ask for fresh towels and still sometimes didn't get them. The beach isn't the best. Resort restaurants are overpriced.

The suit, the free boat transfers, the breakfast, the pools and the helpful reception staff. Very good restaurant nearby Coconut Island Seafood.

It was some issues with bath. And the pier that used on the low tide is slippery and rusty, it would be great to make some repairing there.

Hotel manager make everything to compensate the minor problems, and in the end we realise that it was great weekend. Manager make our vacation happens in a good way. The hotel generally looks good.

I appreciate resorts equal resort fees, but I dislike that it's 10% service and then 7% tax (which nowhere else in Thailand seems to have a tax) on eeeeeverything. So I can't have a coke at the beach and attribute to a room tab, instead I have to pay 17% atop a can. There's a reason people take the boat to the mainland and come back with sacks full of drinks and snacks so somethign to do before you get on the ferry. Ferry runs every hour, great as a regular service but if you miss one you're then twiddling your thumbs waiting.

Amazing resort on a small island just off the coast of Phuket. I'd read a mixed bag of reviews suggesting the resort was looking dated but it was modern (room fittings with usb-c), grounds well kept - friendly gardeners every day. Ferry terminal on the mainland means you can wait with refreshments in the cool, and there's shops round the corner to stock up. Arrival by a short ferry across the lagoon (leaves from Phuket side on the hour, returns on the half hour), you're taken to reception by golf cart and then shown your room. I chose a suite and the room was huge - large bathroom with ample sized shower and freestanding bath tub, large bed (odd master light/power switch that turns everything off). Short walk to reception, restaurants and the pools. Food wise it's a resort so you're somewhat limited. Japanese restaurant, open alternating days, has a great balcony view and nice little cocktail bar with 'jazzed up' food. Main 2 restaurants by the beach allow you to order from the back one but still sit facing the ocean, mix of western and local food. Breakfast is a buffet with a strange layout to find foods but live noodle and egg stations offer alot of variety. A few pools means if one is busier you can simply go to another. As a big child, there's a couple of water slides if you don't like sitting by/in a pool, and you've the beach itself - which is shallow. Didn't endulge in activities but walked past people doing morning yoga and saw the sup boards in use. Recommend in low season for the price and privacy of a high level resort, felt like the one bit that was a holiday holiday.

    everything was great!

the hotel is located on a small island. there is a scheduled taxi boat provided by the hotel that is very convenient. we had a perfect experience to get to know a quite and natural side of Thailand. there were few restaurants at the hotel and few on the island. breakfast was very good with an egg station and with corners with different cuisines. we lived in a renewed villa which we really liked! the staff was very helpful. thanks for everything

Small portions in the restaurant, pricy and average taste (the restarant close to the pools). (There are other, much cheaper and good restaurant on the island, about 15 min walk, check on the map) Quite expensive drinks in the bar. I think we payed something like 10$ for two coffees and they were poor, so I would't waste money on it. My partner got a hair in his coctail. It was replaced, but still..

Absolutely amazing hotel, just as beautiful as on the pictures, huge room, above all our expectation, and AMAZING for the price. Beautiful pools. Stunning view over the sea from the terrase. We were a bit worried about getting to/from the hotel, but the transfer from Phuket and back was simple and well organized. We also got free bikes and had a little ride around the island. Breakfast was nice, with several options. Japanese food restaurant was good. We had few requests that were fulfilled. Friendly staff. We had an amazing time here.

At the time we went there were a lot of jelly fish, so swimming in the sea wasn’t an option. Even though the resort put on free transfers to and from the island every hour, during low tide the public pier had to be used at Laem Hin and also long tail boats (rather than the hotels own transfer boat). There was a lack of staff and information at the public pier so you were left to your own devises to work out where to go to get a boat across to the resort. This was in stark contrast to the hotels own “reception” area on the mainland which was well run, and comfortable when waiting for the boat transfer to the resort.

The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. Very clean resort with an excellent selection of food and good facilities.

Sea is dirty and a lot of jellyfish. If you are booking this hotel be ready that you will be swimming only in the pool. Shortage of sun beds. After 10am very difficult to find sunbed, especially in the shadow. Strange, it is island hotel, what else people supposed to do?

The app does not work - we tried messaging the staff through the app regarding our wifi but we did not get a reply. Also tried to contact the spa using the app but nobody answered. Better to just call using the room telephone. Not able to swim on the beach due to jellyfishes. However, the resort does offer a free boat trip to its neighbouring island if you do wish to swim on the beach.

Clean facilities and good amenities, great service and friendly staff. A lot of activities to do on the island. Easy boat booking process to go to and from the mainland.
