Extremely friendly staff and they all looked happy, happy staff makes the experience delightful! NAAM wellness treat was the star of the hotel and we were fortunate enough that the staff were able to accommodate our request due to a miss-communication. Hotel is new (less than 2yrs) and everything is pristine quaint, defo a spot to unwind for a holiday. One of those five star hotel stays that is well worth the money spend and perhaps a re-visit some time later :-) breakfast spread is great as well with healthy eating in mind. The bed and pillows were too hard hard for us. Secondly, timing was important as we went in August and it rain practically evert day.

A nice hotel with exceptionally polite staff such as Aum, Katy, Oat and Kung King . We were initially worried about dinner, but was told they provided halal option. Which made life easy for us.

Love the location which is away from the noises and hustle bustle of Ao Nang, great facilities especially the gym is amazing, love the pools, the breakfast place is also very nice. The fact that they have oat milk for my latte is an absolute 💯 The beach is also very nice and they play very nice tunes. Love the sip bar at the pool too! The staff are all great and friendly, especially Ridwan! Thank you so much, we had the best time!

The food prices are high. Also we had a bad luck with the sea weather to have paddle board and kayaking activities there.

Stuff and hotel facilities are absolutely amazing. Food is very good, but expensive. Hotel's beach is beautiful and all pools are so nice to discover (near the beach, with the bar and the waterfalls between the pools + the relaxing pillows on the water, and the Olympic pool). Gym is extremely good with all need equipment. Activities in the hotel are very very nice - I had a HIIT lesson in the gym with a great nice coach (Sherlot) and for all the family we had: a muay thai lesson, wall claiming time on 2 days and a paddle board in the Olympic pool. Beach walk at night is also fantastic.

Need to pay to use steam bath and sauna when such facilities are almost always provided free in other hotels. Also staff did not explain we could use facilities at Beach Club next to sea until the last day of our stay.

Very friendly, great and always helpful staff. Great facilities, plenty of free activities for all ages. Enjoyed the onsen wellness experience and loved the Olympic size pool. Room was clean, quiet and felt new.

Nothing major to report. It is quite a small town outside of Krabi but that's not a major issue if staying mainly on site.

The pools and gym were amazing. Olympic sized pool for swimming was a joy. Smaller pools for relaxing in the sun with a cocktail were also fantastic.

There’s nothing I don’t like about the property. Just that the location is not great. But you have a 7/11 store not far. It’s difficult to grab a taxi, but you may find local taxis on the street at a slightly higher price. You can easily grab a taxi from Ao Nang.”

Nice and comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. There are daily activities, but I think it has the potential for extended activities such as different levels of Muay Thai or paddle fit, rather than repeating the same activities daily. Overall, it is a good place for wellness and relaxation, like a proper RNR.

Housekeeping could be more alert as there was a shoe insoles being left behind by an earlier guest at the balcony which was not cleared

Staff were all friendly. Daily activities were organized to make sure guests stay active as the location is away from busy Krabi town & Ao Nang area. Breakfast spread was very good indeed. Security guards was actively doing their work and also looking after guests..saw them clearing car who was outside the main road of the hotel and helping guests to cross the zebra crossing in a separate occasion

For the room rate I would expect cleaner and updated rooms in particular the bathrooms.

The hotel is under 30 mins from Krabi airport, the hotel is in a great location with easy access to night market, Ao Nang, lots of bars and restaurants. The rooms are a good size and overall hotel is clean and beds are comfortable.

Nothing bad- a great wellcation.

Amazing facilities and staff. We had a great 3 days as a family ( 2 teenagers) . The activities such as paddle boarding to boxing class and water games were great fun. The gym was excellent and all staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a large variety and the rooms were clean, comfortable and relaxing. The perfect setting to recharge and unwind yet still keep active.

The breakfast was delicious but it would be even more fantastic if there was a greater variety of food, and different dishes on offer each day. The lobby and restaurant where we had our breakfast aren't wheelchair-friendly.

Everything was amazing. The staff made sure to accommodate our every need, the design of the room and facilities is intuitive, the location is perfect with a gorgeous clean beach across the road. The free hotel activities were a nice touch as well - we joined the guided jungle trek which took about four hours and gave us stunning views of Krabi.

Nothing really.

I traveled there with my son for a break. It was my fourth time in Krabi and it was great to be back. The stay at Varana Hotel made it even more special. The staff were excellent, responsive, and very clear in communication. My son and I ate every meal at the hotel and it was exactly what we were looking for. Precise, tasty and a good choice of options. The facilities - be it the pool, the gym, and other arrangements were spot on.
