Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe didn’t really understand how to make the A/C work properly, but maybe that’s on us.
It was one of the best accomodation we have ever been in. It was clean, pretty, spacious and comfortable. The self check in and self check out were easy and the staff was always available via message. Good location, great neighborhood.

SwedenThe soundproofing of the room is not very good, but because there are not many people and cars passing by in the alley at night, so is not impact a lot.
The decorations of this room is so lovely, space is quite big and clean. Bed sheet texture is comfortable. Price is reasonable.

United Arab EmiratesWould have appreciated if there was an elevator to access the floors. It was difficult to move the luggage up and down the stairs. The location was quite difficult to find for Grab drivers as the road leading to the property is quite narrow.
The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. You'll feel at home. Quite central but not crowded area. Accommodating hosts and caretaker.

NetherlandsIt could use an extra garbage can in the kitchenette.
Very nice apartment in a calm part of Bangkok. Not many tourists to be found here, we’ve found that a plus! (Together with the non tourist prices that were charged in food places etc) Studio sized room with two large and long sized double beds. Small kitchenette and bathroom, both very neat and complete. Stable high speed internet connection, super large modern tv with online options such as media streaming and chromecast.

NetherlandsThe narrow street was a bit tricky for some larger taxis, but they all managed. No real drawback!
The room was very spacious, nice colours, and very very clean. Kitchen with refrigerator and bottles of water, and a lovely shower. Access with key and key card was easy. Super quiet spot as well. And shops and restaurants within a 60 seconds walk. All in all a top stay!

BrazilAll was good.
The room was very well maintained, nicely furnished, clean, and had a nice balcony. Self check-in was easy and smooth. Located in a small street, so it was quiet and peaceful. The staff is great and very responsive. They did everything they could to fix the aircon noise and did it fast on the same day. Thank you for everything.

PhilippinesIt’s not really a problem but our room was located on the 4th floor , a bit of a struggle to go up and down the stairs with luggages.
Great location near BTS St. Louis so it is easy to get around bangkok. You have all the essentials, room has mini kitchen with fridge. You just need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. MJ our gracious host constantly communicates with us. Near lots of cafe, 7-eleven stores, and pharmacy. Neighborhood is safe and near international school. Great stay for first timers in bangkok. Overall the place feels homey and cozy. We hope to come back soon!

BelgiumThe Guesthouse is located in a residential zone, hence our room, looking towards the street (Soi 3) was a bit noisy with motorcycles often passing by during the day. We did not care as we were outside during the day. During the night it was perfectly silent and we slept really well.
The Tangerine Guesthouse is located 10 minutes walking from Chong Nonsi Sky Train BTS, walking down Soi 11 and then turning to your left on the narrow Soi 3, where there are many families homes. We spent there 5 nights at the end of January 2024. We really liked the local atmosphere, with plenty of local shops, pharmacies, small restaurants, families washing their car and petting their cats. The Guesthouse is spot clean With a live-in cleaning lady who speaks only Thai. However the owner, with whom we never met, is very responsive via WhatsApp and booking app: she immediately sorted out a minor issue (shower drain clogged) via booking.com chat. The Guesthouse is a beautiful traditional house that has been recently completely renovated. It is simple but stylish and very comfortable. Aircon works perfectly and it is not noisy. Bed with great mattress and very soft bed linen. We had a very large room with large double bed, sofa and coffee table, surrounded on two sides by windows that we covered with curtains at night. The room (more a mini apartment) included, at the end of a corridor, also a kitchen, with microoven, large fridge, water sink and kettle, and a very functional bathroom with shower. A special positive notes is that they offer large refillable dispensers (not little pollution plastic samples) with amazingly good quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The space was tastefully decorated in the tones of green, white and black, and the kitchen in red and white. There was also a desk corner, just near to plugs and light, that we used as a laptop work corner. Towels were changed once during our 5 night/ 6 days stay. The Guesthouse also offered the possibility to use the washing machine and dryer located on the ground floor for 30 bath (90 cents of euro). Nearby the Guesthouse you have many places where to enjoy a good coffee or tea and even places where to get bagels and croissants (go for Crazy Croissants on Soi 11: amazing).

GermanyOur room was on the ground floor (number 1) and the windows are really thin, you could hear everything from outside. Luckily there is only the occasional motorbike or passenger going by and at night it's quiet. Also the room got really hot (28°-ish) for some reason and especially overnight with the blanket it was too hot. Also the mattress was kind of hard, it didn't bother us, but might be good to know.
The Guesthouse is located in a street off the mainroad, which reduces noise. Our room had everything we needed, we even had dishes to eat food from 7Eleven. Everything was clean and tidy. The Guesthouse is also in walking distance to the BTS (25BHT p.p.) which gets you to the boats or inside the city really fast.
