Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRoom had no view worth looking at, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. It was on a main street, but I don't remember hearing any noise in the room. Beds are very firm which I didn't mind, but I am listing for people that don't like firm.
The staff really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They even called a local laundry for us and talked to the attendant to get our laundry washed, dried and folded for within a few hours. Staff were very helpful with dining options, transportation, and places to visit. The restaurant for breakfast was a real plus and we loved the French toast that was smothered with local fruit or Nutella with bananas. A free coffee drink was a bonus. Luna the cat. Convenient location.

PolandEverything was perfect. Nothing to complain about :)
The hotel is very nice and modern. The rooms are very stylish, spacious with very comfortable beds. The hotel manager was very helpful . She gave us information about local markets, trips, and things to do around Chiang Mai. The hotel has a small café with very good coffee and really nice breakfast options. It was my best stay in Thailand so far.

In the ideal location! 20min walk to the main shopping area, near a 7/11, can walk to anywhere in the old town easily. Fab little massage place just down the road. The hosts are amazing and really do help in anyway they can. Would highly recommend!

Staff and management were friendly and helpful. Amenities provided were truly befitting its name as a boutique hotel and totally unpretentious. Rooms were comfortable and quiet regardless that it is situated along a busy road.

GermanyThe bed is quite firm, which is common in Asia. If it were my hotel, I’d provide mattress toppers and ask guests before arrival if they’d like a softer option. - The guests in the room next to mine were extremely loud, slamming doors and such, and the wooden chairs have no padding underneath, so even the slightest movement creates a lot of noise.
Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. The room was very clean. Important for remote workers: the internet connection was flawless even during video calls. The location is pretty good and the loud street noise did not really bother me.

AustraliaHome away from home in Chiang Mai! This is my third stay at the Peaberry Hotel! I can absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Chiang Mai. The rooms are super comfortable; air condition and wifi are perfect and it’s a close walk to everywhere in Chiang Mai. There is a lovely coffee shop downstairs open every day until 3pm and they make the most delicious breakfast bowls & coffee! Sunisa and her team have been extremely helpful on our every stay and I now count them as my Chiang Mai family! Absolute best stay🙏

TaiwanWe stayed at Peaberry for 9 nights, and enjoyed our stay. The bed was so comfortable. The water pressure was good. The location is convenient, either Nimman area or Tha Phae Gate is within walking distance (15~25 minutes). There's no on-the-spot reception, but the manager Sunisa is extremely helpful and respond to our requests quick. She gave us a room in the middle of the building to avoid the traffic noise. Also, the yogurt bowls at the cafe were delicious.

Czech RepublicWe had a room with windows facing a very busy road so we could hear the traffic.
The host was great - very smooth communication, extremely helpful. The hotel was clean, tasteful, we liked the lobby. We also appreciated the breakfast at the cafe (20% off for hotel guests) and a free drink. The location is excellent - within the city walls but right on the edge. The bathroom featured a shower that actually had some water pressure and a proper big showerhead :)

ChinaThe only downside was that even a king-size bed felt a bit narrow for my energetic 4-year-old tossing and turning during sleep.
Had a delightful stay at this accommodation. The room was comfortable, with excellent water temperature and pressure in the shower. Despite the hotel was located near a roadside, the room wasn't on a main road, so nights were pleasantly quiet. Manager Sunisa deserves special mention for her excellent communication skills and attention to detail. She was exceptionally friendly and gentle with children.
