Beware of swimming in the sea, especially at low-tide. There are rocks/corals in the sea floor, these areas are unmarked and not-visible through the water. My fiancee and I were cut and had abrasions on our legs from wondering into the wrong areas. Perhaps, that area should be marked with flags or something like that. Maybe the reception should brief guests during check-in to avoid those areas. We did not know and it did spoil a bit of the holiday!

It is an excellent location away from the crowds, without the hordes and hordes of tourists. As the beachfront was private, there were at maximum, 6-8 perons using the deck chairs, beach beds when we were there. The views from the beach is A+++. The rooms are comfortable and has probably most of what you need for the stay (at least for us), it is very family friendly (the bungalow we booked was the SEA VIEW Bungalows) and there were free kayaks and toys for kids/babies. They provide a lot of beach towels, and you can grab them from their front desk. The staff there are very very helpful, especially Fon and Sunny. Everyone from the staff, the manager and even the owners (Huey Princess & Denis) are so so so friendly. They make it feel like a home away from home! Before you arrive to thailand or the resort, they will start communicating with you through whatsapp. That ensures a great check-in experience and minimizes any trouble or hassle. They helped me plan a wonderful 30th birthday for my fiancee. Please order the takeout food from the menu they have there! Eating food while lounging on the deck chairs, or in front of the rooms besides the pool, is a wonderful wonderful experience! They've gotten the best restaurants from around their area, and the food usually takes 30mins to arrive. If you do go out, the Panwa Cafe is a great choice, as they will pick you up and send you back from the cafe. Just let the front desk/reception know you wanna go there and they will ring up the Panwa Cafe for you. If you have the time to stroll and walk, Thai Sawasdee was another food place that we visited that was beside the sea. It was also great walking along the boardwalk with the sea-view after dinner.

Great location, not a party location at all so fabulous if you are not wanting to surrounded by all the Patong party people. Staff were superb and everything was clean and tidy and well organised. We had one room ocean facing and one not. Both were great.

I would love to see the resort have more resources like motorbikes and kayaks/paddle boards available. Not a huge deal because my time was limited.

I hate that I can only give this place a 10. From the moment I booked the room, the staff was so attentive to our every need. Tips for the most efficient transport, figuring out our itinerary and to top it all off, ensuring the room was at a comfortable temperature by the time we arrived! I've never seen such attention to detail and a genuine level of care for all the guests here. I can't thank Joy enough for being our emissary while here. She took the time to get to know us and helped fine tune our activities to perfection. The rooms are very luxurious and quite spacious. The added touch of having a French press coffee maker in the room is fantastic.

Beautiful peaceful location right on the beach. Secluded beach with locals not many tourists. Lovely friendly staff. Our beachfront villa was very comfortable and clean. Lovely local restaurants nearby.

I would say “they have no restaurant,” but that doesn’t even matter. The Cove restaurant, part of a nearby resort, was literally a 20 second walk from our room, closer than many other hotels could claim. We had absolutely no problems with food during our stay.

Everything about our stay was exceptional! Trust me, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, you’re going to love this place. It’s a little piece of paradise. We are so happy we booked the beachfront room for our stay, as the beach was always right outside our doorstep. Service was exceptional, always doing their best to ensure we had a quality experience. Joy and Maiekla were especially good to us, going out of their way multiple times to take care of us. Even though there were other guests at the resort, it never felt crowded. In fact, it always felt like we were in our own little bubbles, never really needing to interact at all. It made it feel as if the resort was completely our own. The pool, the reclining pool chairs, the hammocks…everything was available anytime we wanted. For the first time in a long time, my girlfriend and I felt completely relaxed and at ease. Not a care in the world. And we have The Mooring Resort to thank for that. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Loved my stay here. The hotel is located in a quiet cove and was the perfect relaxing stay. Clean, quiet rooms with lovely minimalist decor. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, arranged my transport to and from the airport and Old Town Phuket, in-room massages, and had plenty of other ideas for activities. I ate breakfast every morning at the hotel next door, so close it felt like the same property—the food was more Western than traditional Thai but all delicious, and couldn't beat the convenience.

Beautiful resort on a very quiet beach. The villas are tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The beach is good for swimming; lovely calm water. Only at low tide you need to walk to another beach (just a 10 minute walk). There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and they also provide free taxitransfer. Next to the resort is a restaurant that is situated right next to the beach: it's open all day and serves good food. The minibar in the room is stuffed with drinks and snacks. Drinkingwater, as much as you need, is free of charge. There are plenty of deckchairs in the pool/beach area. The ladies at the reception are super friendly and helpful. Could have stayed here forever!

The Mooring Resort is a lovely place to relax and calm down. It‘s located at a nice and quiet beach which is enclosed on both sides, giving you a feeling of privacy. Based on the reviews, we already knew that the cafe/restaurant next door offered breakfast, snacks and dinner, which we used every day. For a two-night stay this was perfectly adequate, but for a longer stay you would probably want to go somewhere else, which would require either a taxi or a car/scooter due to the remote location. Or you can use the delivery service offered by the hotel. Our room was very nice and spacious, the pool and beach were clean and there are plenty of sunbeds. All in all, a very nice place to unwind and relax.

The place is very calm. The beach was very good when high tide, when there was low tide, sea was a little bit shalow, but when you walk 40 m, everythin o.k. There is a small village ( 15 minutes walk along the beach ) with good restaurants nad massages and a nice beach. The staff was able to manage transport to some of restaurants by car for free.

Lovely hotel at the amazing Ao Yon Beach with lots of places to relax by the beach and a pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very family and kids friendly. They had lots of toys for the kids to play with. Nice breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Cove next door. You can walk across the rocks to the other part of Ao Yon Beach, which is less rocky and has restaurants and shops. We preferred the part of Ao Yon Beach by the Cove because it was more quiet.
