Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Montien Surawong. It’s in such a convenient location, with a market and restaurants across the street and with BTS and metro stations close by. Lumphini Park is also walking distance. The hotel was clean and comfortable with great views from the room over the city. There was water and toiletries provided and a tv. Staff were super friendly. We would definitely stay here again if in Bangkok.

United KingdomExcellent location, the staff were amazing, attentive, fabulous genuine service and care for their guests. The Hotel manager, Pierre-Andre was visible and attentive. The front of house, meet and greet guy was so cheerful, helpful and enthusiastic. A very warm welcome was always received at reception. The hotel was spotless, we returned again after a trip to Krabi. We stayed on the 15th & 16th floor and the view and rooms were lovely. The pool was lovely to relax after a long day. We would definitely stay again. Thanks

Hong Kongit seems just 6 chairs for enjoy the pool was not enough, my husband want to enjoy suntan in the afternoon around 3pm, but no more chair for him. he went back to the hotel room. It is better provide more chairs for swimming pool.
First day arrived the lobby, it was so impressed of the staff, the doorman was so friendly, welcome drink also provided. and every staff was so welcome us. The decoration of lobby is modern, feel very refreshing! we booked deluxe room included breakfast, the breakfast was value for money, so many choices to choose. reasonable quantity of customers dine in the coffee shop, you really enjoyed the breakfast. Hotel room is spacious and clean, the king bed is so comfortable!!!!! The location is very convenient, take 2 more station MRT will be in Siam. Outside of hotel, there has so many authentic Japanese restaurants, we tried Nan-tei yakitori restaurant, it was so delicious. 😋😋 Night market just in front of the hotel, starting at 6pm every night. 10 mins walking distance to few shopping malls. small pharmacy, boots, etc you can find every single street, one big Jim Thompson shop also located there. So overall for my experience, hotel is value for the money, they provide high quality of service, I definitely will stay here again.

United StatesSome of the taxi drivers they call for you try to scam you. They claim the meter isn't working and quote you an outrageous amount. They once quoted me 200baht to go to the mall. I gave him 100 only, but on the way back, it was like 80. Make sure your taxi always uses the meter. Otherwise, take another one. The metered fare will always be less than what they quote you.
The location was perfect. The facilities and staff were great.

United Kingdomnear patpong, best to avoid this area if kids are young as there are lady bars.
We I stayed as family of 5 in a family room- an extra bed was given to us to accommodate 5. wonderfully clean, luxurious too , beds clean and comfortable, room quiet, excellent family bathroom. Best breakfast had was here, spacious dining rooms and attentive staff. pool was excellent after a hot sticky day in Bangkok. we walked to mbk from hotel- being British we like to walk but it was very very very hot! also hotel about 10 min walk to sky train, we walked via patpong which has ‘lady bars’. not ideal for a family. there is another sky train which doesn’t walk through the street of patpong this might be better if you wish to miss the bars. there were many families staying here which was nice for my children. it’s very easy to walk to lumpini park from hotel also- about 15 mins. kids love this park because of the huge monitor lizards and the massive fish which gobble slices of bread. if you get there in the evening you can watch the people running and exercising to music in the park which is very vibrant and fun. we saw someone taking their pet bunny for a walk also, my girls loved this! we have good memories of montien and would stay again x

Rested together, lived a week in April. Room on the 14th floor with a great view of the temple and the city. Good soundproofing in the room. All new. Gorgeous room design. Great TV. Convenient location. Near 2 metro lines. There are many restaurants and shopping centers nearby. I did not have time to go to the pool, but they told me that it is suitable for sports.
