Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaIt is near the pier but relatively far from the main city life you would have to walk around 40 min which is impossible in that heart I think there is a muslim community around so be prepared to hear in the speakers their prayers (night and day) There wasn't much to eat fo breakfast
It was super clean, we had a free upgrade, water in the room, close to the pier

United KingdomThe location isn’t great. We were in the rear of the 2 buildings so road noise wasn’t AS bad as some reviews. It is on a main road that is fairly busy and not especially touristy. The Landmark night market (fantastic) is walkable (2km) BUT the lack of pavements, heat and traffic make it an awful walk. However, 80baht (March 24) in a Grab each way worked well enough such that the location was workable. Ao Nang main town is 100baht but Tuk Tuks are twice the price. There are as always plenty of places to eat nearby but the Landmark night market was better in every way. The bed is as hard as people say. Even by Thai standards it’s really hard but we didn’t get back ache so maybe there’s lesson to be learnt? It’s not a European style resort hotel…. The pool and area is small and really more suitable for a quick dip than a lazy day.
The room was large, spacious, clean and modern. Bug free! Really comfortable sofa with a worktop, sink and microwave. You can’t cook a meal but with your own knife and chopping board you can cut some fruit and heat some basic microwave food. The staff really want to help, only one speaks any English but once you can make yourself understood they go above and beyond! Everyday the room was cleaned, fresh drinking water and clean towels. Plenty of toiletries. Breakfast was better than reviews suggested in our opinion. People have said it’s monotonous but each day the buffet includes fresh fruit, cereal, croissants, cakes, bread and jams, salad, eggs, ham/sausage and at least 2 Thai dishes. Also fruit juice and coffee, seemed good for us and furthermore when found out my wife is lactose intolerant they made her own special breakfast each day.

IndiaLovely place with beautiful views. The rooms were quiet, neat, spacious and had all the basic necessities. The staff was also friendly and very helpful. And the breakfast included a good variety of options. There are a few shops and restaurants that are in walking distance from the hotel. It might however be best to make use of a grab/taxi and explore other parts of Ao Nang, like the Ao Nang Market which is not too far away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for longer stays.

United KingdomRequired a Grab taxi (100 Baht) or public minibus to get to Ao Nang town centre, and waiting for one added 10-20 minutes to the 5 minute journey time - but worth it to be away from the noise. Poor breakfast toast bread (seems to be standard in Thailand). Noise in the room loud at night seemed to come from the fridge or the outside air con unit - easily fixable by the hotel.
Away from the noise of the main town. 10 minutes walk to a great beach at the National Park beside the Ferry and Tours to the islands. Lovely room and facilities. Best breakfast we had in Thailand hotels, though limited in choice. A very enjoyable stay.

CroatiaIt's a bit far from the beach (10 minutes walk) and there are no sidewalks, so you have to mind your every step on the road
Great breakfast. Nice, clean and cozy room for three adults. Extremely accommodating receptionist, she even allowed us to take a shower in her room, after she looked for our bags all day, because we had to make a regular check out, and our flight was late in the evening.

United KingdomGet a scooter as it's a little way out of town, apart from that it was literally perfect.
Kate the best manager in the world What can i say ? absolutely incredible staff, friendly, unobtrusive, polite and courteous. Kate the manager literally saved my life (or that's how it felt at the time and for that I'll be forever in her debt. I was on my last night in Ao nang, a place I've visited many many times, i have a friend who used to own a bar quite close to the lucky beach hotel but sadly he's had to move his bar to the other end of town as his landlord wished to build a hotel where his bar sat, directly opposite Noppharathara beach, this was in 2020 (nothing has been built there yet) anyway i caught a tuk tuk into town for my last night and asked the driver to drop me off at the MacDonalds so i could withdraw enough cash for my last day and also pay him, It's a really busy street, he pulled over and the cars behind him were beeping for him to get out of the way as he was taking up a lane of the traffic, so i made the fatal mistake of withdrawing my cash and forgetting my card, because of the traffic backlog, i didn't notice straight away, went to my friends bar and he dropped me back into town later. I then opened my wallet to get my card only to discover it wasn't there, i retraced my steps and quicky realised what had happened, I'd spent all of my money and didn't even have enough to get my to the airport on the morning, bearing in mind that I'd booked a taxi at 07.45 in the morning to get me to Krabi for an 09.25 flight to Bangkok to connect to Heathrow, my Barclays banking app had crashed so i was in a real predicament as i couldn't source any cash either, sat up all night waiting for reception to open and explain to Kate what had happened (bear in mind I'd already woken her at 12.30am one morning because I'd left my key in the room) when reception opened at 07.

United KingdomThe hotel was spotless, the location was perfect in a quiet corner of Ao Nang away from the craziness of the tourist stretch but still close enough with a 3 min journey by taxi or Tuk Tuk or a 20 min walk. There is a very nice local restaurant across the street, the locals are extremely friendly. The hotel was very quiet, the breakfast is decent and the pool is perfect after a hot day on the beach. Kate was our main contact, with her team she made our stay very comfortable and was accommodating to our every need, from arranging trips around Krabi, getting our laundry done and giving advice on how to make the best of our trip. If you want everything Krabi can offer with a guarantee that you’ll sleep well then this is the hotel to choose. You will not regret it. Thank you Kate for going out your way to ensure we had a great stay!

GermanyLocation is way off, so you need a Tuktuk to go to where the action is. Most balconies have the fans of the A/Cs on it, so you either cool your room or you sit down on the balcony, if you want both it's noisy. A/Cs are loud by themselves as well. I did a short-time booking just 5 days ahead, guess that's the reason why I paid much too much.
The staff was incredible and couldn't do any better, especially Katie was supposed to be able to read my mind and answered questions I just was about to ask. My room was changed for free to go to the calmer side of the hotel (away from the rooster). Pool area is nice as well.
