Welcoming friendly staff who are alert and prompt to requests, like the room cleaning service and restaurant service. Hearty Asian and western breakfast. Good location - close to eateries and beach. The well maintained garden is an attractive pit stop for various kinds of birds if you are a bird watcher. The list of birds I have spotted and taken photos in the garden includes the Eurasian Hoopoes, the Chestnut headed bee eater, the Coppersmith Barbet and the usual Mynas, European Tree Sparrow, yellow vented bulbul and the occasional Oriental Magpie Robin. Also heard but not easy to see is the red eyed Coulcal.

Lovely hotel with beautiful pool. Great location very close to beach. Staff were lovely. 5 minute walk from main strip and lots of bars and restaurants. Perfect place to do trips, activities from. Lots of taxis and easy to get.

The hotel is not a new hotel. The furniture inside the rooms is old fashion. The cocktails from the bar were not with fresh fruits - just concentrated juice.

Pool area was too small for the number of people and was always a struggle to find a lounge before they were reserved with a towel. It's called "Oceanside" rather than "Beachside" for a reason, the ocean is a 50m walk but the beach is rubbish.

Mosquitoes in terrace even in daylight, too much after sunset but maybe bc mid march season, some in room. Cleaning wasnt quite on standards, what I expected in 4star resort.

Nice garden, spacious room with storage space for clothes, good Breakfastbuffet. Comfy bed, quiet nights. Plenty of sunbeds in the garden area. Food was good in restaurant, but took time to get it. Plenty of staff around, everyone greeted you. 2 pools. Mostly adults guests.

Everything was great, the staff were very friendly and attentive, very polite too. Everything was clean, one of the best buffet breakfasts, The tv channels had no picture but that wasn’t a problem as I want there to watch tv but if this was resolved it would be perfect but I still give 10/10

There are better beaches (coconut) and more lively neighborhoods, bit boring there to be honest... Staff not very helpful, hardly responded via booking... u get what u pay for, so not complaining, was just spoiled coming from a 5* hotel..

No hot water in the sinks. I told reception mine wasn’t working and was told this is normal. Hot water in the shower, but not in the sink. Why?? So, I had to boil a kettle each morning to shave with. No problem, but not exactly a green way to go about it. Breakfast was ok for fruit, buffet stuff and cereals. But the egg station? Just chaos at busy times (around 8.45 to 9.30), not any issue with the staff, just the set up. The poor chap doing the omelettes also has to do the scrambled, poached and fried eggs, which all then go out in front of his hatch where people are queuing for him to do the omelettes. So, anyone wanting a bit of scrambles egg needs to push through the omelette queue before they can even see if anything is there. Add to that, for some bizarre reason they keep the bacon behind the egg station so, if you just want some bacon, you have to queue with the omelette seekers, and then ask for a piece of bacon. Just weird and makes no sense. Why not put the cooked eggs and bacon out in the serving dishes so people can just get what they want without having to queue or push through to get a fried egg?

Nice location. Beach two minutes away, loads of restaurants and bars close by, taxis available if you don’t want to walk. Nice pools and always seemed to be beds available, although, as in other places, there is the dawn patrol who stake their favourite beds with towels and books as the sun comes up, then disappear for hours. There are signs saying this is monitored and possessions will be removed but that never happened.

Everything. The rooms were lovely. The bed was so comfortable with pure white crisp bedsheets. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choices. We loved being round the pool during the day ordering cocktails. The staff were super friendly. We would eat lunch in hotel every day and have dinner outside. The lunch menu was great. If we return to Khao lak we would book again. Highly recommended
