Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesNothing at all. One complaint would be the location. The closest 711 was not reachable easily without a car (yet, our water got restocked every day, not a big deal!) Maybe we could look into installing heaters in the pools in front of the door.
☆ Very friendly and hospitable staff ☆ Very generous with free snacks and drinks ☆ The pool right at the doorstep was an amazing addition ☆ Overall, it felt like the staff were doing everything in their power to ensure that my partner and I felt at home. You will see us again on our next visit to Samui!

United Arab EmiratesThere are no grocery stores in walking distance but a few restaurants.
The property is in a fairly secluded location away from busy areas. Rooms are private, minimal stylish and very functional. The plunge pool is amazing. A great place if you want to escape.

LithuaniaNone. Just keep in mind that you want to have a bike to get around and reach 7-Eleven, for instance. However, I'd suggest renting a bike wherever you're staying on Samui. It makes life much easier and more fun, and it allows you to explore places on your own terms.
We spent our first week on Samui staying here, and it was a perfect start to our vacation: • The location is beautiful—the sunsets are gorgeous, and the beach is enjoyable to walk on, but don’t expect to swim here since it is very shallow. The view from each villa is a treat and never gets old. • A few restaurants around the hotel are reachable by foot and offer a wide range of lunch and dinner options. • 7-Eleven is not close (unless you go by bike), but a few local shops are in the area. • The staff is super nice and helps you with anything you might need. We had our villa changed as soon as we noticed the AC was acting up. They also delivered the bike we wanted in 15 minutes, and the renting process was super quick and easy. • The breakfast offers both Thai and Western options. The food is fresh and nice, with enough options to pick from each day. The cafeteria is located right at the beach, so you eat with an awesome view too. • The villa is not big but comfy and provides enough space for everything we needed. The facilities are nothing fancy but in good condition, and we were fully satisfied. Most of the time, we had no neighbors, so it was pretty private as well. We loved the overall vibe of the place. • The small but private pool is a game changer for sure. We would wait out the max UV hours just chilling in it. There's also a hotel pool next to the cafeteria. We absolutely loved the place and will definitely go back when we visit Samui again.

United StatesThese are not criticisms, just observations. There is a bit of an ocean smell at the main pool which I didn’t care for. While the property itself is adults only, the adjacent properties did have children that I could hear at the pool. The location is a bit off the beaten path but there are several restaurants right nearby and a few options for delivery via Grab as well.
The staff are amazing, I cannot say enough nice things about the service and hospitality. Breakfast was available from 7-11am with lots of options. The plunge pools at each villa were great for a break from the heat. The room was very comfortable, I slept super well.

United KingdomWe enjoyed our stay here very much. The only small issue was … as is usual, other people!! The little apartments are semi detached, and are not sound proof so you have to be aware of yourself and the noise that you make. Be respectfully quiet. We also had some guests who used a drone during the day, flying up and down and in front of the plunge pools etc .. which I found intrusive. Again nothing to do with the hotel, but other people. I would recommend this place and definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely stay here. The rooms are spacious and bed was extremely comfortable. The private plunge pools were deliciously cool and refreshing. The staff were exceptional, especially those who served us breakfast. We had the most delicious Thai food, fruit bowls and iced teas each morning served by the most polite and friendly man. There is a perfect amount of choice on the menu - western items (which we did not try) and Thai foods (we tried everything on the menu and all were delicious!) plus some items on a buffet table. The location, for us, was perfect. We chose this quieter side of the island full well knowing we would need to hire a moped for the duration of our stay.

NetherlandsWe’ve found out during our stay that the restaurant is only open for dinner between approximately December - March. However, there are plenty of options close by.
We’ve had a wonderful stay at The Humble Villas! The villa is beautiful, the private pool and sea view is amazing, the breakfast is great and the staff is super lovely!

FranceWe knew it and it is a advantage for us : the place is very quiet 1 restaurant by foot. It should be a drawback : you definitively need a scooter to move and visit the beaches, waterfalls, gardens, roof tops and cities!
The humble villa is nested in the west coast of Koh samui one of the most preserved one. The rooms are large lovely with everything you need to enjoy your stay (beach bag, towels etc) the sunset + beach view + private swing pool is the perfect combo! The breakfast is perfect just in front of the sea shore. The team is just perfect, helpful and friendly (as usual in Thaïlande) for the reception to the breakfast. A scooter rent is located 100m away from the hotel and it is helpful s you need a transport system as the area is quiet

NetherlandsThe property is close to a busy road, so you need to have the room closest to the ocean not to hear it. Also the breakfast could have been more generous. Furthermore, we missed the possibility to have lunch at the property (or at least room service)
Very nice view from our rooms. It is a small property with only 10 rooms which was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly. The private pools are very nice and the rooms are clean, well furnished and you are very close to the beach.

GermanyLocation isn’t great but if you look for something up from the really busy places such as Chaweng, than ist’s great! Natong is beautiful and still quite traditional! Depending on the tide you can even walk there around 20 min walk! What we really missed was some shade in the afternoon! Some umbrellas at the pool side would be great!
Lovely little hotel, beautiful villas with pool, extremely friendly and attentive staff, helpful with whatever request, good restaurant, great breakfast!

FranceEverything was perfect. Choose this hotel if you stay in Ko Samui without hesitation.
The hotel is situated on the better side of the island. Calm but heavenly. The room is very confortable, clean and the staff (from the reception to the kitchen and the server) put their very best effort to satisfying your needs. The breakfast and the dinner is just amazing. Do not hesitate to book this hotel is you stay in Ko Samui. The hotel will arrange a scooter for you to visit the rest of the island. The best hotel we had in Thailand and thank you for the staff.
