Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeActivities offered by the hotel come at a hefty price tag. Sometimes transportation is not even included. Otherwise, there’s not much to do since you are living in a very remote area. For free, you can visit an actual Mon village and pay a 300 thb fee to explore Lawa cave. You have to pay for a private longboat charter if you want to visit elsewhere (1,000 thb).
A therapeutic retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. You feel like you are in a 4-star resort, but it’s hard to believe that you’re in the middle of nowhere (on a floating house with water flowing beneath your floorboards!).

A stunning location, beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. The food and service was second to none. The staff were beyond helpful - couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was fantastic. A very unique experience having to get to and from the hotel by boat.

United KingdomThere was a lot of steps to reach the property from the car park. if travelling with elderly/ babies/ mobility issues- I definitely recommend arriving by boat instead.
The staff were ready to greet us on arrival, and direct us down to the property. The view was incredible, and the property was beautiful both in the communal areas and the rooms.

NetherlandsWe didn't have hot water in the shower, but we didn't mind, so we never mentioned it. Shower in need of some maintenance. Excursions and transport offered by the Floathouse are very extensieve, but staff is very helpfull in arranging somerhing else when you ask.
The bungalows and surroundings are amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Food (a la carte) was good. You can use the pool from a nearby resort. We wanted to visit Erawan falls but due to bad weather in previous days the falls were closed. We loved our stay so much, we didn't even mind..

GermanyWe did not swim in the river. The water from the bathroom sink / shower flows straight into the river. We found it to be a bit overpriced for what it is.
If you don't travel by car, you are pretty much stuck at the hotel – but it is a nice place to be stuck and chill. The food was good.

PolandIn a 4 star hotel on the river, what you wash at the shower goes into the river. First I thought that they might have some cosmetics, toothpastes that are naturalna. But, they have normal cosmetics and whatever you bring into the shower goes into the River. This I really can not understand and with such a hotel with this price this is unacceptable. So, no environment care. Whats a pitty. Our dinner was ok not amazing, tom yum soup was very European style. Cleanes, espacially in the shower room was very bed, looked like noone cleaned for a long time.
Amazing nature around, extraordinary experience. Very big and comfortable rooms. Free boat pick up from pier.

AustriaThere is no filtered water available, so you have to buy the bottled water. It's not easy to get to if you don't have a car and transfers from Bangkok are quite expensive. The food at the restaurant is okay (not bad, but also not anything special).
Very clean and spacious bungalows, great to relax for a couple of days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free bikes are available to use and the pool at the hotel next to the FloatHouse is available for free.

SingaporeThe property is dated. Some of the locks needs to be replaced, you have to toggle with them for sometime to open and close the doors. shampoo/shower gel containers that are provided are damaged. for example the shower gel pump in my room (12A) was missing its pump and the sink is cracked. These may be minor things but it’s important that the hotel needs to look into as it affects the overall representation and feel for the guests.
It was peaceful and relaxing. Staff were polite and helpful. Great service.
