Absolutly loved my stay. The owners are so lovely and I enjoyed chatting to them daily. They have incredible crepes, nice food and delicious smoothies aswell. The beach is a 2 minute walk and you can rent scooters there. Would love to go back there.

We had a fantastic stay at Blue Gecko, our room was very comfortable, clean, and the garden around us was also wonderful. Our host, Gyuri is a very kind and helpful person, it was a pleasure to stay at his place. He helped us to book a trip and a transfer and always had some kind words to us. Location was okay, walking distance to stuff but bike allowed us to go further

The room was spacious, clean and secluded even with the other bungalows around Very sweet and we loved the balcony, water was hot Tinted windows so not overlooked, we rented bikes and they sorted everything for us The owner was lovely and directed us where to go when we was here and showed us best roads to drive on as it was my second time on a bike 3 minute walk to long beach and a glorious sunset

One minor comment we have is that the bathroom in our bungalow smelt slightly of sewerage but this did not take away from our overall experience here.

We LOVED our stay at Blue Gecko. Absolute bargain and very peaceful so great for pairs/trios of backpackers who need a break from the party islands. Owner and staff were all so, so lovely and helpful. Located one minute walk from the beach. Rooms were cleaned and towels replaced daily and beach towels and beach parasols available too. Also free drinking water!

Friendly place, housekeeping was really good! Powerful aircon, comfy bed. Basic but everything we needed. Had a fridge. Free water dispenser at reception was great.

It was great! Incredible friendly owner and very clean rooms. Helpful with all bookings and easy scooter rental! They have laundry as well. Super cute garden atmosphere and free water as much as you like! Would definitely stay here again!!! Close to the beach and very close to the next ATM In all fairness - we had 2 Cockroaches - but you are in asia and it is a garden bungalow and there is a chance for wildlife! Didn’t bother us at all because it was so clean they were easily spotted and put outside! The Shower is lowered so you do not even flood the whole bathroom while showering- amazing

Absolutely nothing.

Our experience at The Blue Gecko was truly incredible. We had booked to stay in another hotel close by but, when we checked in, we discovered it had bed bugs. We were horrified, stressed and desperately needed to find somewhere else to stay. Thankfully, The Blue Gecko came to our rescue! The hotel only had availability on booking.com for one night but we booked it nonetheless. When we arrived, the front of house staff were so helpful and the owner even promised us he would find us a room for the following night, despite the fact they were almost fully booked. Not only did he charge us a discounted rate but the staff actually moved a bed from upstairs in the villa to ensure we could all stay together. Despite all of this hassle, they charged us nothing extra and made us feel so welcome. The property itself is beautiful and a stones throw from the beach. To top things off, they had the best peanut butter ice cream we have ever tried. If you are going to Koh Lanta, this is without a doubt where you should stay.

Such a nice place to stay. The deluxe garden bungalows were beautiful! I made a mistake with my booking for 1 night and the staff were so helpful,patient and lovely and sorted it out for me which I really appreciated as tired from travelling. Nothing was too much trouble. Will stay again.

The location is not on the beach but a bit down the road but it’s really really close so no issue for us. My only negative really was that the tours they offered were expensive compared to other places you could book them in the area :/ And sometimes it was a bit hard to communicate with the staff as I don’t speak Thai + !! You have to pay your whole stay in cash if you cannot do an international bank transfer

Nice bungalows, pretty laid back, the owner is a really nice Hungarian guy that had great recommendations for where to eat which was lovely, bungalows were rather simple but clean and they had a safe as well as really useful plugs next to the bed and a fridge which was great, there was a minimart just around the corner and on the beach a few nice bars so strategically a really good location I’d say

Very friendly staff, everyone so welcoming and George the resort manager was exceptional. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable and the location is awesome, 2 minute walk to the beach where there is a nice bar/restaurant. So good we ended up extending our stay, of which George was very flexible and accommodating. Also cool to see the wildlife in the gardens such as monkeys.

The water pressure was too low from time to time, but it's just a very small thing to mention.

The staff and owner were so very helpful, smiling and polite! We needed their assistance several times, mainly because we lost a credit card, and they did the best to help us. The food (not included in the room price) was amazing, we loved everything that we ordered for breakfast. The long beach was super close by. There is an amazing shadowy terrace in the middle of the yard where you can spend your entire day just being lazy with a smoothie and a book or get to know some other guests if you want. The beds were European style soft and comfortable. You could see the people working on the garden and area all the time, so I believe the place will remain so good with time with this type of maintenance, maybe get even better.
