This place is amazing! It’s new, clean, comfy and seems to draw a good crowd. The location is perfect for when you arrive on the island - it’s a short stroll from the pier and it’s centrally located so it’s convenient while you explore and get your bearings during your first few days. What really stands out though is the owners, Christian and Alexa. They’re super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home and share plenty of useful advice about the island. This feels less like a hostel and more like your good mate’s place. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

Fantastic friendly hostel in a great location. I stayed in the 5 person dorm - rooms were big and clean and the bed very comfy - the bathroom is actually really cool. All the hostel staff are so friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. There's a really high quality pool table as well! Will definitely stay at Tangerine Dream again - thank you :)

Little hostel with the most welcoming hosts ever. Super clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. I loved the natural fiber/ breathable bedsheets and soft towels. They really take care of details like having good coffee and fruits in the morning and always fresh water on the table. The bathrooms are super comfortable as well, good water pressure and good quality shampoo and conditioner are much appreciated 👍🏼 I definitely recommend it.

Meeting Alexa And Christian was awesome. They are a great team! they are making something really special there, a real tangerine dream. The place is not a regular hostel, they set a very friendly and open vibe that make you feel like coming back home with your roommates. I was lucky to find them and I am very grateful cuz my experience in Koh Phangan felt closer to what’s the local vibe thanks to them. I had an amazing time. Plussss, the place is very good! nice things to have that makes your stay better and mark the difference and I really mean it: clean fresh good quality white sheets and towels, very good mattress, air humidifiers in the room, very good showers products, big toilets, very clean place, pool table, water and fruits, recently renovated building, so everything is new and shiny! location is great also. And they are just starting, it’s getting better and better. Thanks a lot for sharing so much love and kindness! Cheers!

I stayed for more than two weeks because I just kept extending my stay hahaha, Now you know how much I love it there, right? This place feels like home to me at Khao Pha-ngan! I'm overwhelmed by my time at Tangerine Dream Hostel, led by the incredible couple Alexa and Christian. From the moment I stepped in, I could feel the love in the air, making me instantly feel at home. Staying here felt like being with the best of friends. Meeting you, Alexa & Christian, has been a true enrichment. Your harmonious partnership and the love you share reflect in the hostel's atmosphere. You are a fantastic team that has truly inspired me. Like many others in this hostel, I initially booked for just one night but ended up extending my stay to a whole week. Lucky for me, as many guests who checked out returned because they found it to be the best place. If I weren't undergoing yoga training, I would stay even longer. Alexa and Christian are incredibly helpful, answering all questions and guiding you to the tastiest restaurants. The lounge area and reception feel like hanging out in a friend's living room when you enter the hostel. There's a pool table and a TV for Netflix, a kitchen, and a charming outdoor space where guests gather. The hostel is brand new, super clean, and bright, providing real duvets that reminded me of home, ensuring a comfortable sleep. Every day, there was complimentary delicious coffee and fruit. I met only wonderful people during my stay, creating an easy and laid-back atmosphere. A big thank you to you, Alexa and Christian, for giving me such a wonderful time. You need to be tall to adjust the water temperature in the shower😅 There's a scooter place called Tropical Wheels close by, beware, they will find a way to overcharge for repairs and keep your deposit.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, good smell, nice shower and bathroom. Great atmosphere and quality tourists to get to know and hang out with. Great location by the food court, convenient stores and walking distance from bars.

I could not have been more happy with my stay at Alexa’s and Christian’s beautiful, cozy, clean, spacious, lovely and fun hostel which has the best people. I felt to comfortable and happy during my stay, the hosts cared and supported in every way they could and provided delicious coffee and fruits. Highly recommended! I’ll miss you guys xx

I recently had the pleasure of stumbling across this amazing hostel and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. The hostel was incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable, making me feel right at home during my stay. It's clear to see Christian and Alexa, have put a lot of effort into, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere making feel more like a guest house than a hostel. As a relatively new hostel, it's clear that they are constantly improving it. The best part of my overall stay was how friendly and accommodating Christian and Alexa were. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable and comfortable, making me feel like I was staying with friends rather than at a hostel. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a positive and memorable experience. I have no doubt that it will continue to improve and become an even more amazing place to stay in the futur. Thank you Christian and Alexa, I look forward to returning.

Great location central location, 20 min walk from the pier. This guesthouse has a real zen vibe about it. Mainly down to the fab hosts, who are not only warm & inviting but make u feel like you've known them for years! Neutral colours throughout, clean cotton white bedding, amazing pillows, zen-like backgarden with plenty of seats & twinkly fairy lights around the trees @ night & huge pool table in spacious communal area, free coffee, tea & fresh fruit available allday & cute wicker chairs out front for chilling, reading & people watching! Brilliant high-quality power showers. Massive roof terrace, which i did Pilates on daily, has so much potential, they're currently doing up/getting furnishing for.... Hosts always happy to give recommendations, their knowledge & time😊 What's not to love!

It was amazing! The hostel is owned by a young couple Alexa and Christan who are American and from the UK. They were so nice, speak english off course and made me feel so welcome! The hostel is clean and has a nice chill vibe to relax. The bedsheet were so soft en comfy, definitely would recommended this hostel! Also very close to the thong sala pier were the ferry goes. And very close to the city centre and markets.
