Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be comfortable and clean. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice but we found the kitchen / living area to be very basic and not very well equipped so not really suitable if you want to self cater. We planned to eat out so not an issue for us. We dined at their restaurant just across the way and really enjoyed the live music which they have on every night. Special mention for the chicken and cashew which was delicious, as were the cocktails.The food and service were spot on and we went there every night. The owners and staff were welcoming, friendly and chatty. We would stay there again.

NetherlandsThe kitchen could use a few more utensils like a good kitchen knife, and a pool would make the place perfect.
Bungalow is spacious and very comfortable and situated in a nice green garden, away from the busy road, although you can still hear the traffic, but within easy walking distance from some small restaurants and the nearest beach. We enjoyed the grounds, the restaurant with daily live music and the excellent food. The service is just great. We came for 3 nights but stayed for 7. We plan to return here.

SwedenUnless you're staying in a stand-alone house, you will hear every word and sound your neigbours in the adjoining unit make. The duplexes are zero soundproof; the walls are paper-thin. It feels like you're in the same room with your neighbours. The cleanliness could be improved. Lots of ants in the house, old blood spots on the walls. Live music at night is great but can be dusturbing and last till after 11 pm. No water is provided except on the first day. Shampoo/shower gel is no replaced. Kitchen utencils are pretty worn-out.
The staff is amazing! Very friendly and sweet owners. Great water pressure, no issues with hot water. Spacious bedroom and kitchen. Very comfy mattress. Netflix and a desk are great. Fast internet during the day, but slow in the evening.
