Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were in villa 3 which unfortunately was situated adjacent to a small restaurant (literally the other side of the wall). the second bathroom backs onto the back of the restaurant and there is a window in the bathroom through which you can see into the back of the restaurant kitchen. We thought this was awful since we think people could possibly see into the bathroom from the other side! perhaps there was one way glass but not sure that was the case. we could hear people chopping food etc through the wall. There were also cockroaches which came from somewhere and ran across the living room floor in the evenings! The area of Naithon beach is very strange and there aren't many very good places to eat which we thought were good value based on previous areas we stayed in. It is quite far from anything to do and see. We hired a scooter which helped. However, the beaches are lovely. There is only one little mini market which does sell a lot of things (no fruit or veg though) but prices much more than other areas we've been to. We also found the area to be over run with Russians. I'd say about 90% Russian to be honest which was odd and felt rather weird - like being in little Russia. We felt the prices of food were inflated because of this.
The actual villa was very lovely inside and beautifully designed. The beds were the most comfortable we experienced on our trip and the pillows were so soft. The main en suite bathroom was great. The little kitchen was well equipped for the size. The staff cleaned it daily and gave us lots of fresh bottled water. We also were given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. checking in was very easy and very nice to be so close to the sea.

FranceUnfortunately there is a very loudy bar just above the villas, we had to go several time there to ask them to lower the music / karaoke happening every night. Some table have been installed just a few meters from the villa with loudy client until late at night (midnight and more).

RomaniaSome moskitos pinched us Restaurants around are all a desaster, overpriced and terible quality, also the massage places i dont recomend none! but the street foood is cheaper and much more tasty especialy the grilled seabas at 200 baht ( aprox 5 euro) coconuts 50 baht ( 1 euro) etc that was convenient.
We didnt received the front villa and we had no view from inside, the layout is cute 2 baths 2 bedrooms. The area that is located in is interesting witg alot of street food that is cheap. Is near the airport The sea water very warm and pleasant

SpainEverything was great for us, if you have the option try to book one of the front or middle villas and avoid the back ones as are more a little more noisy tho not bad noise just a little noisier than the front ones.
Perfectly located on the beach at the end away from others. Excellent service always staff there to help. Beautifully well designed little villas with everything you need at great value. We will definitely come back. Everything was amazing here with super attention to all detail..

RomaniaNothing I can think of.
Outstanding experience, including here the staff, location, view and villa facilities. There are a plethora of shops and supermarkets nearby and an excellent restaurant down on the beach with fabulous food. Speaking of the restaurant, huge shout out for the staff there with special thanks to Noch, as they went above and beyond making us feel welcomed. Noch even set up chairs and umbrellas for us on the beach, waiting for us every morning with good coffee and smiles!

UNREAL VIEW - literally on the beach looking at the sea ( Villa 4 ) gorgeous large balcony with hot tub - the villa is modern but decorated in keeping with its location with a beach vibe Really nice cafe/restaurant next door with tables on the beach great for breakfast and also had an evening meal there just so convenient - Jim a few metres down on the main road is also good for sorting transport and trips - we also got a tuk tuk to take us to Patong which the kids loved LOVED the view from the master bedroom and master bathroom - literally looking at a deserted pristine beach and the sea and waves

CyprusMake sure you check at check in so you are charged the card cost as quoted in booking.com- I showed him and he adjusted it. The gentleman doing the check in didn’t understand well English, no explanation was given about anything, or light switches, wifi was poor. In fact just before arriving we were very nervous until we contacted booking.com because nobody answered to anything we asked to get taxi. Eventually we booked alone. They had some business flags in front of the balcony which was annoying for the view we paid. There is no screens in the veranda doors so unfortunately you cannot leave it open at all at night because of mosquitoes, and cockroaches coming in. I don’t mind the geckos which I didn’t see but I could hear. One cockroach came in during our stay but we understand it happens so we had to just make sure to keep villa closed. I think unfortunately although the villa is amazing, the service is none, there is literally no hotel facilities so the price was steep for Thailand standards, comparing what I got in Bangkok 5* hotel. Cleaning was done once in our last day so kinda pointless. The beach was beautiful but rough for swimming, it had jelly fish and nobody was able to explain the confusing flags that say swimming and also no swimming in the same spot. So we barely swam because of this.
Spot right on the beach. The villa is pristine, cleaned properly and very comfortable. Naithon is extremely quiet as a beach so don’t expect tons of things to do. There is a few options for food around there, the restaurants by the beach and by the street were delicious and authentic. And cheap. There is a supermarket closing at 9pm about 5 mins walk. They provide water and mosquito repellent which was needed! They were kind to help us with our luggage as there is only stairs. Really quiet for a romantic stay. Naithon beach is really not the most touristy so you have a lot of privacy.
