Only one criticism was the pricing on the hotel Spa and sauna which seemed very high compared to other professional services offered nearby.

This is an amazing, must stay hotel, it has so much character. The facilities are excellent, the staff are super friendly and it's just a wonderful place to be. We started of in the smaller ,garden unit with pool access which was nice but compact. We upgraded to the Pool access Cabana which was bigger and well worth the extra.

Unfortunately for us it was Monsoon season - and seemed to be worse than usual. It literally rained for 5 whole days and there was fairly serious flooding on the street outside and the beach area. As a result we weren't really able to use the pool (which was key to our booking the villa) and felt like we were inside a house with little view of outside. We did have one swim in the rain but it wasn't particularly warm. I know this is only the case for a few of weeks of the year - but there was nowhere to sit when it was raining - no bar other than pool bars. Our villa had a small outside area but without an umbrella we couldn't use it. Because it was out of season we felt like the only people in the Baray Villa section, there was lots of work going on (albeit fairly quietly) and the pool bar at our pool was closed. I guess my summary would be that if you're staying in rainy season I wouldn't bother paying for the villa - I'd go for a swim up room which had a covered area, and are situated on a pool where the bar was open.

It was a magical place - especially at night. The staff were wonderful and the service was great. It's in a great location - only a 10 min walk to the nearest beach and some good restaurants.

This Hotel was one of the Best experiences we ever had at a hotel!!! The Beauty of the Thai Art, The unbelievable pools as long as football fields ( temperature perfect), The warm, generous and kind staff members, The incredible Baray Suite ( 211 LIBRA ) , The free shuttle to the beautiful Kata Beach, lots of action along Kata Beach shops, The beautiful breakfast and staff in the restaurant and Absolutely Awesome Room Service!!! I could go on and on but I'm sure you get what I'm saying!!! This Hotel is a pure Hidden Gem and I'm so glad we took a chance and tried something different for our stay in Phuket!!! Not to mention we got the most amazing rate too with breakfast included!!! Highly recommend splurging just that little extra and getting the Baray Villa.....FIT FOR A KING/QUEEN 👑 ( WAS LITERALLY THE BIGGEST BED WE EVER SLEPT IN....... INCREDIBLE 😆 ) WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO STAY HERE AND WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK AND ALSO TELL ALL OUR FRIENDS WHO VISIT PHUKET:-) A SPECIAL MENTION TO KAE, LIGHT, K2 & K (The Porter) who where absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Kae gave my daughter a beautiful gift before we left!!!! SHE WAS SO AWESOME!!!!! We are just so grateful to whole team at Sawasdee Village Hotel in Kata Beach!!! An absolutely incredible experience we certainly had!!!! A very very special mention to BOY!!! Boy was as kind, warm and sincere as any human can get!!! We had an amazing stay at Sawasdee. Not only were the grounds and pool area as beautiful as the photos, but the staff were the loveliest and really bent over backwards to help with anything. Special mention to Khun Jan at breakfast who is the sweetest lady! I had an Oriental Massage at the hotel and it was so good and reasonably priced too. We found getting around to Old Town and other sights really easy and efficient using the Grab app, and the shuttle to and from the beach was handy and always on time. Overall we had a lovely wind down here at the end of our 2 week trip and would love to come again in the future.

Minimal natural lighting in the room I stayed in. Only one window blocked by the tv. Staff were painting a sculpture next to my room when I arrived and it smelt very strongly of paint.

Beautiful hotel, looks the same as the photos only better. Two pools, swim up bars, restaurant, the breakfast was great, enjoyed a massage at the spa, lounge area with aircon refreshments and snacks, games area, small library, gym, location was great everything walking distance.

The negatives are very minor. One or two exercise machines require maintenance and we had to pass by the smoking area to reach our room.The light switches for various lights took a while to find because some didn't seem logically placed.

The pool access room was superb. You could enter the shower straight from the pool. We swam at night and early morning when we had the pool to ourselves and it was magical. The gardens were beautiful and the place is like an oasis. Service was also very good and the room was spotless.

My only negative point is the WiFi router was placed in the bedroom on the bedside table right next to my head. This is a dangerous location to place a 5 GHz Router. I had to pull the plug out at bedtime which then gave no WiFi to any other guests that may have been present

As soon as you walk in it feels like you're stepping into another land ! It's so so beautiful, the staff are so welcoming and lovely . The pool is lush and perfect place to cool off or have a nap. The restaurant/good is great and the spa offers fab services
