bed was a but too firm, but that's just personal preference and the blanket was a tad small for 2 people sharing but thats being really pickle. but for what we paid I don't think we could complain.about anything

The place doesn't offer any other facilities but that's okay, good value for money.

It's a very quiet place with comfortable huts, some directly facing the river. All facilities are located on the same street, the famous railway station is about 20mins walking distance. The owner is always around for a casual talk and advice.

Beautiful location down by the river, amazing and smily people who worked there always checking out we were okay during our stay. The rooms were so clean and each individual cabin has its own porch to sit out on to enjoy the sounds of natures and be completely relaxed. The perfect place for us to relax and soak in all the beauty of Kanchanaburi when not on the go, couldn’t recommend this place enough!

A mosquito net over the bed and a door cover (as a couple of cracks) would've been good as in the evenings, there were a lot of mosquitos about as you're right on the river.

In a lovely setting, the bungalows were very picturesque and private. A free bottle of water per day is always a bonus. The location is well situated around lots of restaurants and bars. Comfy bed too.

I loved the greenery and the dogs . The staff were very helpful and sams daughter is very friendly. I loved the morning breakfast . The river view cottages are more exciting. Overall a very very south east asian feel to it. It's 50 metres away from the main street and on evenings the street is a pleasant place to walk. There are bike rentals and car rentals nice bars and massage centres which are really amazing. 2km to bridge on the river kwai and 1km to the world war 2 museum and cemetery

Using the bathtub in a slanted house is less ideal, as you can imagine, still very much possible. The bathroom had a bit of a smell.

We had the Deluxe room, which was at the end/corner of the facility. It was awesome waking up to the amazing view, in an airconditioned wooden hut on the river. I, personally, found the fact that the building was not perfectly level added to the character of the house. The owner was enormously helpful and very fun in interactions.

The standard room (and terrace in front) was very humid and hot since there is not much wind passing there. The room at the river (one with a bath) had a not - leveled bathroom (so you tend to lean a bit to the left when using the toilet or shower) and is not convenient: difficult to get into the bath to use the shower head. The outside sitting space is also old and rusty with some holes in the floor.

Very friendly staff, quiet place because the rooms are at the back, away from the street. I changed my room after one night to one at the river, this was no problem at all. I checked if they had a fan I could use and they arranged it immediately. The price is cheap but it's a fair price for what you get.

Some maintenance needed (the bathroom was really basic, I didn’t like to see the electrical cables of the boiler coming out from a hole in the wall near the water and there was a little sunken boat in front of the house that really needed to be removed). The staff was really nice, but I have to say that they lost my pajama pants when they changed the bed linen, it can happen l, is not a problem, but they denied the fact and it was weird not to find it back.

For the small price you get a genuine taste of river landscape, there is not luxury, it is spartan but with a touch, I loved the atmosphere, the nature sound, the calm and the fluvial plants all around. The staff is kind and welcoming. There are three old sweet dogs. Wi-Fi everywhere.

It would be nice if there was a pool

The location is fantastic & only about 10min walk to the Bridge on the river Kwai. The river at the back of the property is beautiful & fascinating to sit back watch. Moon on reception was amazing & so friendly. She was helpful & lots of fun. The kids also loved playing with the friendly dogs.

Lovely place right on the river. Plenty of accomodation options within the guesthouse itself. Room was a good size with a little patio area. Sam's house has some really friendly doggos too. Will stay here again.

We booked a room in one of the triangle bungalows. The room was small (not enough space for our yoga practice) but we liked the vibe here so we booked it again a few days later. The bed was comfortable with a soft pillow instead of the thick hard ones that gives us neckpain. We slept well! The bathroom was ok with a good shower. The AC worked well. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. We loved the sweet nice dogs. It's also a nice place to sit outside if you don't want to stay indoors. Location is really good close to restaurants and on walking distance of the River Kwai Bridge. Even though Sam's house is located in a busy street it was quiet at night. Recommended! 🌼
