What a piece of paradise on Koh Samui, we had a fantastic stay at this exceptional and tranquil resort. We stayed there a week with our 10 month old daughter, and couldn't have picked a better place. The location, the facilities, the pool, the breakfast, the beach - everything was great. We do also want to give a special mention to the incredibly friendly staff including Oom, Mam, James, An, Noom, Pang to just mention a few. They were extremely service minded and also took great care of our daughter. Would love to come back to Sala Samui, and this comes from a couple who never goes back to the same place twice!

Loved our stay at Sala Samui, the whole hotel is well maintained, loved all the tropical gardens, super friendly professional staff. The pool area and beach very relaxing. Breakfast superb. Bed super comfortable. Loved the location and local Thai restaurants. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The toilet is outside so I was afraid of getting bitten by mosquitoes. However, the hotel took thorough measures such as pest control, so I didn't have any major complaints.

Everything was great! The service was especially great, and they were so kind to our young son. They remembered my son's name and always spoke to him, and when he had a fever they quickly arranged for him to go to the hospital, which we are very grateful for.

We recently stayed at SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort and had a fantastic experience. The resort is exceptionally clean, and the staff are incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The restaurant offers amazing food, and the pools and gardens are beautifully maintained, providing a serene and luxurious atmosphere. I highly recommend this resort for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

When we arrived at Sala Samui, the Check in part went really smooth and we felt very welcomed. The rooms were very clean and the interior really nice. The breakfast buffet tasted amazing, everyone could find something to eat. Overall we stayed for 4 nights and thank you to the staff for making our stay so lovely!

The timing of the evening turn-down - always when we were in the middle of getting dressed for a night out and had forgotten to put the "do not disturb" monkey on the outside door. An hour later, when most people are out for dinner, would have been much better. The whole stretch of water directly in front of the hotel was rocky and not swimmable for a good 500m out. Many stubbed toes later, we realised it was better to avoid that area. It's not a big deal at all, you just have to walk a few metres down to the next stretch along to find deeper, sandy areas. Large groups of loud, entitled clientele who didn't control their children and who commandeered large parts of the common areas. They were fairly uninterested in whether others were being disturbed, and gave the poor staff quite a run for their money. One of the reasons we opted not to eat or drink in the hotel more.

The staff were just lovely. Smiling and chatty (especially Kwang and, the appropriately named, Smile) and generally just great to be around. The place was so beautifully laid out and very well maintained. I did feel a bit sorry for the staff who had to clean, having to negotiate little stairs between the villas. The breakfast buffet was pretty average, but this was because they had an menu from which you could order a variety of fab breakfast dishes all of which were included in the price. The dinner menu was good, but not outstanding. It seemed to be striving to cater to Western tastes and so the Thai food was not quite as zingy and spicy as it was outside. The beach was clean and there were always free chairs or beanbags. It was great that the hotel offered SUPs and kayaks to use free of charge, and staff would occasionally go around the occupied chairs offering glasses of iced water. In case it's not clear, the beach continues on to other hotels and restaurants, but this is quite nice rather than intrusive. It means you have lots of options for places to eat and drink. There are hawkers going around laden with necklaces or sunglasses and they're generally very polite and unintrusive. What was unbelievable were the villa rooms. Each with its own pool. They were beautifully decorated and finished. The bathrooms didn't allow for a lot of privacy as the toilets were tucked behind the sink and mirror, but could easily be seen from the bedroom if the door was left open or by someone not staying on "their side" of the bathroom, but on the whole they were very beautiful and unusual. Every night a little bottle of special evening tea was brought by a member of staff who turned down the beds and lit mosquito coils.

The prices for anything not included (e.g. other food or drinks at the restaurant, the spa services) were very high, the same or higher than you would pay in Australia.

The included breakfast was amazing, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The private pool and outside bathroom was so luxurious! We felt safe at all times during our stay and had a lovely experience.

What an amazing resort! We have just departed Sala Choengmon after an incredible six night stay. The location is gorgeous, tucked in on a beautiful bay, white sand beach and plenty of options for water sports, swimming, restaurants and massage. Only 10 minutes from the airport so very handy. But - we barely left Sala! The resort is stunning, two beautiful pools, plenty of lovely bales and beach beds under the palm and fig trees, or next to the pools. But what really makes this fabulous resort so wonderful is the team. From Mr Wee who was so helpful, to the amazing Ms Oom and Ms Mam, who manage a team in the restaurant who always strive to make your experience one you’ll never forget. There are so many wonderful staff, and I’m sorry I can’t name them all… Pang, Pen, Poy, Pui and Noom and Parn by the pool, just to name a few. The food is out of this world - super fresh and incredible Thai flavours. Thank you again - we are already planning our next visit to Sala Choengmon on Koh Samui! 🥰

very nice place, staff very friendly and supportive, location is nice with few beach restaurants and bar. Rooms are very nice and well maintained. We had a bike so going around was not a problem, while there are some restaurants around , you ll need a car or a bike to go to the busy streets

Fabulous location on beautiful quiet beach. Pool villa was exceptional and just what we needed in terms of space and privacy. Highly recommend this resort for couples especially.

The hotel is getting a little old. We had a bit of issue with the AC and the toilet which were promptly fixed. So kudos to the fantastic crew!

Lovely hotel with fabulous staff. They have separate pools for adults and families. Access to beach. Walking distance to restaurants outside. Short cab ride to Chaweng, Central Festival etc. Room is comfortable and quiet and they have a good choice of pillows to choose from. The room came with breakfast with a good spread.

The property is full of lizards as its full of trees and the fact that showers and toilets are outside makes it not so easy for someone who doesn’t like insects and lizards to go at the night to use them. Doors dont close fully meaning lizards do come inside the room. However staff again will come and help you if you are not happy. They changed our room to a better one. They really did everything they can to make us happy and were very thoughtful

Resort should do something about the irritating mosquitoes and flies

This is our second stay with the same resort. The last time we came was 10yrs ago. The place is still as nice and cosy as ever. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I would like to especially mentioned the beach staff and the staff who mend the morning breakfast, Noch, Pen and the rest of the ladies. When I told them that I need to get some bread for our sea outing, they immediately gave us a takeout box and we managed to pick a couple of bread. Service is excellent! Keep up the great job! Hope to see the resort around again during our next visit.
