Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe beds where very hard and the curtains are quite thin.
It was very clean, the staff where friendly, and offered plenty of different items for our stay such as snorkels. Despite it being quite small with two rooms it was cozy and I made plenty of friends.

ChileThe mattress was a bit hard, but like everywhere in thailand.
The hostel is small, with just two rooms and a little common area, but it’s very comfortable and cozy. The staff is very friendly, and they clean and tidy up the rooms and toilets more than once a day. They even change your linens and towels every day. The location is about a 5-minute walk from the center, very convenient and far from the noise. Definitely worth it 👌🏽

United KingdomNothing really
In terms of service, one of the BEST hostels I have ever stayed in! Daily towels are provided, there are free beach towels, free snorkels and fins, free waterproof phone cases etc… There are also free snacks you can take all day, as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate!! The owner is very very lovely! He greeted me with a cold bottle of water when I arrived and also gave me another when I left. The bathrooms are very clean and are frequently cleaned. There is a hairdryer and an iron interestingly but no ironing board. The location was actually really good because it’s far away enough from the noisy centre but also only a 5 min walk.

TunisiaNothing to complain about, the only thing which they can probably work on is the noise that curtains make but not a big deal.
It’s one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at.Very Very clean , the smell in the room is amazing. They clean every day , they change towels and make up the bed every day as well which I didn’t see in other hostels. There is no big common area but I got to meet many other people. You can also book tours and ferries at the hostel. The guy working there is very nice, always helpful and he is kind. There are snacks, bananas and coffee all the time. You get also towels and snorkeling equipment if you wanna go to the beach which is very close. Hiiiiighly recomemend

The owner is super friendly and went above and beyond for us during our stay. You get a small free breakfast, free bottled water, free suncream/bug spray and free us of all water equipment such as snorkels, dry bags, phone cases etc. It was the perfect location as well, close enough to walk to all the action/partying but far enough out you easily got a peaceful night sleep

United KingdomOnly downside was the bathrooms - a wet room situation, but the owner did dry them regularly after peak shower times so it didn’t really bother us, and not off putting at all when everything else was so good! A little expensive compared to other hostels in Thailand but by far cheapest we could find on Phi Phi so fair enough!
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in - the owner is just incredible! My favourite thing was the cold bottled water he handed out regularly, we usually have to pay for this so it was a dream to have it so available! There are also other snacks and tea/coffee available which is a really nice touch in a hostel. There is also anything you could ever need available to borrow for free - snorkels, dry bags and phone pouches for the day trips, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel . We booked a trip through the hostel, it was really good and the cheapest we’d seen anywhere! Also a really nice atmosphere, possibly just got lucky with our room but small hostels like these seem to attract the best people :) air conditioning was great too!

United Arab EmiratesThe only small downside is that they don't have other facilities like a bar or pool which some other hostels have.
Quaint little hostel tucked a little away from the party on phi phi island. The hostel has only two dorms that are large and house I think 8 beds. But the dorm also has two bathrooms so that makes it better. The people staying there are very polite and considerate of other fellow travellers. Many of them are into hiking or snorkeling. It's not a party hostel so you can get a good night's sleep. They have a tea and coffee station with snacks like biscuits, cake, toast, jam, butter and bananas. They give you unlimited water as well. There is the option of getting lockers as well which I didn't use. The property is extremely well serviced and clean. I think it's brushed atleast twice a day. The beds are large and comfy. The only small downside is that they don't have other facilities like a bar or pool which some other hostels have. But what this hostel does have is that it's a small family run local business and not some commercial enterprise run by foreigners.

I loved this hostel! So quiet and so central, new towels, free water and food and lovely staff. I kept extending and where there for aroundt nine days because I loved how I could join activities and the party on the island if I wanted and allso those days I just wanted to relaxe: I just stayed at the beach wich is really near or took a walk around.. I met so many nice people and I have recomended the hostel to other people I`ve met bacause it was so small and nice. By the way: I went for half daytrip and it was really nice as well as the food at Coco Bella and Garlic 1992 restaurant and try to taste coconut ice cream, it`s lovely:)!

You can go walking everywhere from there. It has breakfast, with coffee, cookies, bread, butter, and bananas, all day. They also have sunscream, áloe Verá, snorkel mask, body lotion, mosquitos spray, all free. And they give you water all day. Thank you!!
