Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEvening meals were plagued by insects/mozzies when the lights were turned on. My only real criticism is with the price, especially when compared to other places that I stayed at on the island. The resort had an affordable hostel feel and whilst my Deluxe Double Room with Seaview (approx 1,500 baht daily) was nicely situated, with balcony and hammock, the interior was fairly basic. Perhaps 75% of the price would have been more reasonable.
Good but rocky peaceful location next to sea. The resort has several seaview platforms where guests can chill and get delicious food delivered. The owner, Mr T. and family/staff were a delight. Mr T. also had an excellent computerised method of recording food and drinks purchased and settling up at the end of the day. They serve alcohol. And, yippee!, they even accept card payments!!! The resort is located a 30mins walk to the north end of the sandy west coast beach and also is very close to the beginning of the must-do Ko Pu mountain walk (for which Mr T. gave me some fruit for the summit and lent me a hiking stick). The resort had few residents at the time (Mar 24) but was popular with visitors.

United KingdomFine just the way it is!
What a wonderful stay I had at Rock View Terrace! Tong the owner/manager and his wife are delightful people that go out of their way to make everyone happy. Lovely location with wonderful views of the sea. So many nice little touches to make us feel welcome. I really enjoyed the food and the drinks. Absolutely delicious. Was very sad to leave and will most definitely be back. It's quiet and there's just just one restaurant and small beach close by but if it's peace and sea views you are looking for then you'll love it x

SingaporeMentioned above, but all to be expected and accepted for the inexpensive stay!
Amazing and peaceful view from the Terrace and a wonderful host in Tong and his wife, both worked tirelessly to serve us! Not forgetting the friendly dogs on the grounds. Very rustic and simple setup. Lots of cosy corners to laze ariund and gaze at the sea. My room in a shared living space with several rooms with shared toilets was simple and sufficient. Bed. Study table, clothes rack and bench.. Walls are thin, so conversations are not private. The beach is a 1 minute walk to the next resort and quite rocky. So bring your beach shoes. But so peaceful and quiet and reviving. A little far from shops so need a tuk-tuk service or just rent a bike. Overall, a wonderful stay to rejuvenate and refresh.

RussiaIt's good place. If something not good, value is still great. Note: wi-fi doesn't work at all (sometimes it does but bad). You can't work there.
Great place. Great location, but you should know that it is not usual like place, it's far from island center, it has no beach, but view is gorgeous. Averall it's beautiful place for true rest. There is only you and nature outside.

LithuaniaOur stay at Rock View Terrace was absolutely wonderful. The host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel like cherished guests. The delicious meals were a treat for our taste buds, enjoyed against the backdrop of a stunning view. The tranquility of the location offered a perfect escape from the daily hustle, creating a serene atmosphere for relaxation. The presence of friendly dogs and cats added an extra touch of joy, especially for children who loved interacting with them. In essence, Rock View Terrace is a haven of warmth, delicious cuisine, and tranquility. Highly recommended for those seeking a delightful retreat. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The position is truly magic, just in front of the ocean surrounded only by trees, beaches and untouched nature. The hosts are super sweet and welcoming and they make sure you have everything you need. There’s also a little bar&restaurant on site with delicious Thai food for a reasonable price.

United KingdomWithin 30 min of arriving at Rock View Terrace we decided to extend our stay. Originally booked for 2 nights, stayed for 10, and can't wait to go back. The owner and his wife are exceptional hosts with a 'sea to fork' ethos, sustainable practices, respect for the land, crab bank for marine and coastal resource management, and a small seaweed farm. Home-cooked meals were delicious, as was Mr Tong's iced Americanos and mango shakes. Great spot for fishing, kayaking, walking, resting (lots of great places to chill out!). This top part of Koh Pu is lovely and cool with a constant westerly breeze, and Rock View Terrace is smartly built for maximum lounging under the cool shady canopy of indigenous trees.

GermanyI loved everything about the property, just be aware of the fact that it’s a thai style accommodation, so nothing fancy or anything.
The owner of the place is the sweetest Thai guy you could imagine. He is one of the few who actually cares about the environment. His wife cooks all the food and it’s honestly amazing. I am vegetarian and there were lots of options.

Czech RepublicNegative Experience at Rock View Terrace in Ko Pu, Thailand** We were happy that our stay at Rock View Terrace ended so quickly as we luckily reserved only two nights ahead, thinking if we like the place, we will stay longer. We thought it will happen as the ratings are so high here on booking any google. When we first arrived, it was very late and the sun has gone down at that point already. We had a hard time navigating the place as there was not a proper lighting and the path was unkept. Walking on straight surface we kicked into some rocks blocking the way, as there was ZERO lighting at some point. When it came to going downhill, we were walking extra slow as it felt we are going to fall down every step, so watch out when you are there. First meeting with the owner was a bit confusing as it felt he was high and did not properly speak English, feeling like he understood just half of what we said, but we made it work and ordered a dinner. Despite the accommodation being very budget friendly, one dinner cost us almost the same amount as the price for our two night stay and we left hungry and unsatisfied. However, at that time and after the short path we encountered from tuktuk to the accommodation, we had nowhere else to go as the closest shops were 40mins walk far away and went to bed. The room was fine, pretty much what we paid for. However, we weren’t ready for the fact that after speaking to one of the guests, who we saw had his leg bandaged, was bitter by one of the owners dogs (blind one) when going on a toilet, as we also had to do as it was not part of our room either (again totally fine having toilet elsewhere, but being affraid to go there cause a dog can bite you is not our jam). After talking to the owner he claimed it was not his blind dog and continued praising him, being totally blind towards the fact that anytime that particular guest even just saw that dog, he had an immediate fear in his eyes.
