We went to the Grotto and it was lovely sure but so expensive and to be honest - didn’t love the food. It was fine. Was it $400 good? No. What I wished we knew is the restaurant doesn’t actually sit on a private beach for the view. I think the beach is private to the hotel but you ‘sitting on the beach’ while you eat is actually a raised platform. Just go to the beach, don’t bother with the restaurant.

Look we are not rich, but we splurged on one night here to go to the fancy restaurant and we LIVED LIKE KINGS. This place was AWESOME. It’s all flat so if you are like me and injure yourself it’s not terrible to get around, the staff is lovely and drive you around, the store is a great time, they have dvds you can take out, the bed was two massive beds pushed together. It was so great. We wish we could live that way all the time. Buffett breakfast was great.

Beautiful resort that exceeded our expectations in every way. From the very warm welcome we received when we arrive throughout our stay, the beautiful and very comfortable pavilions, excellent facilities, spa, very delicious food, Rayavadee is outstanding in every way. It is a paradise. Many options of beach, restaurants. it is a place for relaxing and honeymoon. Great spa. Great location as a base for exploring the area on a boat tour or just relaxing at the hotel. Paradisiac view from the beach chair, we didn't want to leave.

All the long boats damaging the fragile reef — and the crowds on nearby islands if you take a tour.

Quite simply it is gorgeous with a magnificent view and 3 beautiful beaches. The rooms (pavilions) are perfect and homey. The spa is exquisite and the combined Thai/oil massage brilliant!!

It’s a shame that some of the beach areas on the exterior of Rayavaadee’s boundaries are public as it would simply be paradise. That said the property is skirted by some of the finest beaches in Krabi and after sunset, the beach areas do quieten down. It didn’t detract from our enjoyment at all.

We had an individual two storey pavilion literally a few metres from Railay Beach. The property had so much character and a secluded seating area at the rear backing on to the natural rock face. The accommodation is of a very high standard with many attractive features, Beyond our pavilion, the reception, restaurant and spa areas were luxurious and an absolute pleasure to spend time in. Everything felt peaceful and relaxed. The grounds (22 acres + I believe) are beautifully maintained and have an incredible array of different plants. The pool area is large and offers a prompt food and drinks service on request. We dined in The Grotto restaurant two nights and the restaurant did us proud on Night 2 in arranging a romantic setting. The food was nicely prepared and arranged. No review of Rayavaadee would be complete without a mention for the staff that work there. Their service was exemplary and communication amongst their team to ensure our needs was simply “perfect”. The team that looked after us in reception and in the Grotto particularly stood out for their care and attention. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay.

The diesel fumes from the longtail boats floating over the pool were not my favorite thing, but what can you do.

Glorious gardens and wildlife. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Excellent amenities. The best breakfast I think I've had in any hotel anywhere in the world.

The only downside was the spa, where you had to pay extra for the sauna, and the limited half-hour time limit. I've never seen such a restriction before. Nevertheless, overall, it was a fantastic stay.

Over price in restaurant and spa, there is no other place that can enjoy outside the hotel, so it would be great if the price is more reasonable, guests can enjoy more at the hotel

The dinner at the Grotto restaurant is very overpriced in my opinion. The food was good, but still doesn't justify the cost. In addition, the dinner doesn't include any drinks, not even a simple drinking water for the table. Assuming you want to drink something with your food you have to pay even more on top of the already overpriced dinner, and even basic drinks such as mineral water or soda are extremely overpriced.

The only complaint for us was that we got lost a few times but the staff were very helpful to guide us to where we needed to go.

The property was absolutely beautiful! The environment was so amazing because it had a old Thai style feel but with all the modern amenities that you could ask for. The resort made you feel so welcome and the staff were the most amazing as they were kind, attentive and always helpful with any needs and wants. The welcome drink was amazing with the coconut water and lime sorbet that we ordered more to our room it was that good. The rooms were cleaned twice a day and the house keepers were very attentive as well to any requests. We also had a booking for The Grotto restaurant and would highly recommend making a reservation to eat here as the menu had a great selection of meal sets and they tasted amazing and the chefs and waitstaff were amazing! If you are looking for a great resort this is the place to go you will get more for your money here then you will anywhere else and more even if you are going to book for one night it is worth it.

Food and drink prices are extortionately high. Guests can be far too entitled and it's uncomfortable to watch them be rude to staff. Too many kids, in my opinion and I'd prefer it to be adults only.

It's pure paradise, it's heaven on earth. Everything is perfect and we cried when we had to leave it was so good. The location, the staff, the wildlife- it's all so so unique.

Beautiful beach, delicious breakfast with variety, very well maintained pool facilities. We have been very well looked after, since the moment when we landed in Krabi, throughout the entire duration of our stay. The transport by van and boat was professionally organised and managed smoothly. The resort is surrounded by tropical plans and flowers, full of surprise encounters when you go for a walk! All staff are very kind, attentive and professional. The activities organised by the resort were TIP-TOP!
