Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Spain- Bathroom was constantly full of bugs and animals going overhead would drop debris and more bugs from the plastic ceiling. - Room was very noisy to move around in. - Speedboats sound all day and all night. - Towels (both for shower and pools) were not well cleaned. - Stains on the toilet.
- Amazing location, right in the jungle. - Pool was great!! - Brakfast was a big plus. - Closeby to the town and Railay west which we really enjoyed.

DenmarkWhat I don’t like is that you need boats to get to the hotel, and have to walk some pretty inconvenient places with heavy bags and suitcases, but it’s worth it!
Great view - as its called;) Jungle like feeling, because of its remote location. Which is both good and bad. There is different ways to get to the mainland it’s just a bit inconvenient that you have to schedule your day after the boats. Breakfast buffet was ok. Highly recommend if you want a more “Thailand” feeling hotel, with bamboo houses and nature with a great view!

United KingdomWould be good if provided a service by the pool instead of walking to go and get drinks . Old towels left around the pool, Maybe provide a towel bin for people to drop in when used instead of leaving on beds
Great location and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and close to bars and restaurants (short 10 minute walk). Surrounded by nature and wildlife. Room 1 was great with a lovely view

United Kingdomwe had read about the long tail boats running late and early, so this wasn’t a surprise and didn’t really worry us - sounded a lot like small aircraft flying over. What was not good was the Alamo at constant sound of either insects or small creatures rustling and gnawing in the space above our heads through the night every night. they could not get in, but if you wake in the night the noise is quite loud. the hotel provides earplugs and if you use them this improves the situation. The restaurant service in the evening is almost non-existent. we chose to stay there the 1st night. no tables set, no welcoming environment. when we did order the food was clearly pre-cooked and reheated. I think most people walk to the village to the many restaurants there. food ant breakfast and during the day was good
the room was lovely - the mosquito net a real bonus. once we got our bearings the location proved to be ideal. far enough away from the very busy area but an easy walk to get there. the pool area is amazing and daytime service for food and drinks to the pool. breakfast is adequate/good but not amazing

AustraliaThe noise from the boats ferrying people to and from Railay was pretty constant. We got used to it, and it didn't bother us too much, but it would be good to take that into account. Also, it's about a 10 minute walk to most of the restaurants and the beach. It's a very pretty walk, and we love to walk, so this was a bonus for us. The whole area is just beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast was very nice, and the view from the restaurant was stunning. We had a lovely view from our room, and it was very private, even on the balcony.

AustraliaWould have preferred ceiling fans and fly screens to needing to have the air-con going all night. It was quite a long walk to get basic necessities like mosquito repellent or an ice cream after dinner!
Gorgeous setting, lovely cabins and beautiful pool. Perfect location for a quiet, relaxing get-away.

GreeceThe noise never stops. Whether it is the passing motorboats (each passing lasts up to 3 minutes and there are hardly any breaks) or the never ending mayhem caused by workers all over the hotel, there isn't a moment's peace. I believe this should be stated on the booking site "it is never quiet here". To their credit, they offer ear plugs (which don't help much). The walk from the centre is 10-15 minutes and on occasion steep. It's up to you how you feel about it. All services carry twice the price or more, compared to the town.
Let's start with the basics: this isolated part of the Railay Peninsula is a slice of heaven on earth; as untouched as it gets, featuring wildlife, great views and ambience. The staff are very polite and willing, though they will get stuck in minor requests if they don't fit their script. Breakfast is good.

IndiaFor a place that has a pool open till 9, I really feel like food should be available till later. We arrived post 10 pm on our first night there, and no food was available, as room service shuts at 8.30 and the restaurant at 9 pm. Also, the longtail boats passing by every few minutes can get a little annoying and disturb the peace and quiet. While the resort has provided ear plugs, I feel a better solution such as double glazed windows wold be a welcome addition. Also, the door to the balcony didn't quite lock properly.
Great location, with really lovely and sweet staff. Breakfast was also nice, as was the pool.

United KingdomSnails. Massive car sized snails. It’s a 20 minute walk to get to shops, restaurants and beaches. You can pay 200 baht to get a taxi boat which is quite a lot considering the distance they take you. However, they do have free transfers a few times a day that you can use.
Rooms were a good size and it felt secluded. Pool area was also nice

United KingdomIt's about a 15 minute walk from the main beachfront along a small path. This is ok for the most part, but something to be aware of when arriving or departing with luggage. The onsite food is ok but quite expensive in comparison to Railay in general and there are not many options if diet is restricted.
The resort and staff are excellent. The pool is lovely and the shuttle to the mainland is a definite bonus. Having breakfast included was great as well.

United Arab EmiratesI wasn’t aware of how many steps there were to just to get to the hotel room. We were put the furtherest one away, but I understand this how the island and hotel is built. My main concern is the food. It was unacceptable and unsafe. When we first arrived we ordered lunch and my friend ordered a pizza to then later had to run immediately to the bathroom. I then tried out the chicken satay to nearly be poisoned to Salmonella. The chicken was PINK I had to cough this back up and I was scared of how ill I would be. I was so scared all night of being ill. All staff could do is apologise but I honestly believe they did not understand how dangerous this was to serve uncooked chicken. Please check the meat at all times if eating there.
Views and pool were fantastic. Staff helped to accommodate taking luggage to the room.

United KingdomIt did get a little noisy from the constant long boats (the engines are very loud). The food from the restaurant could have been a bit better.
The hotel was in the most beautifully secluded location about a 10 minute walk from the restaurants and activities of Railay beach. The room was decorated so nice and very clean. The view from the balcony was amazing
