Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI loved everything except for the constant drone of all the boats going by. Imagine your neighbors waking up early to mow the lawn but they don’t stop until late at night.
It had a really great view!

SingaporeTo reach the resort can be more accommodating if its great view own Transportation, we have taken a normal boat ride where its very difficult with luggage, it can be better if GV can communicate to the customers upfront or can arrange to collect the luggage from railay
Overall it was good stay , staff, food and clean

NetherlandsI think the park is pretty much behind on maintenance, especially when it comes to the 'nature' between the houses which gave it this run-down look. The houses itself were alright but could use some paint. The food restaurant felt not that fresh or well taken care off.
the place has so much potential, the jungle location is really great. The staff had been very friendly and helpful with tips and directions

United KingdomDownsides - Railay beach is only accessible by boat which is one of its attractions. This means that everything and everyone has to come and go by boat - mostly noisy longtails which ferry people and supplies from Krabi or Ao Nang all day and late into the night. On our first night at Great View we found the constant buzzing of engines back and forth across the bay very annoying. Despite the resort providing earplugs, the first night's sleep wasn't great. However after a day or two the buzzing of the boats became part of the background noise and I found sleep wasn't a problem for the next 5 nights. Complaining about the noisy boats is pointless as they're the lifeblood of Railay so you might as well be complaining about your own presence there: no boats, no tourism. However the resort should try to improve noise reduction in the rooms by ensuring the sliding doors to the verandahs have proper seals with no gaps.
Beautiful location overlooking Railay east beach. A short walk from lots of buzzy bars and restaurants, the beautiful Railay Beach, and the stunning Phra Nang Cave Beach. The resort is quite 'rustic' - it could possibly do with freshening up but that wasn't a problem for me. The chalets are all situated up a steep wooded hillside. Getting to your room involves quite a climb up steep steps but this, in my opinion, is compensated for by feeling like you're in the treetops, something which is emphasised by the partial view out across the bay and by the families of shy Spectacled Langur monkeys which jump from tree to tree outside your verandah. The room was clean and comfortable although gaps in the doors let in noise and occasional insects The staff are courteous and helpful. The breakfast and lunch in the restaurant are adequate if a bit uninspiring.

AustraliaBreakfast was very basic. The property is very steep, so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Good for the step count though! Our room (#12) was considerably smaller than our other 2 friends rooms who had also booked Grand Deluxe.
Located in quieter end of Railay. Pool was nice, with lots of available beds. Great views from the pool deck and restaurant. Gorgeous families of Spectacled Langur Monkeys living in the surrounding trees and would pass by each day. Tew Lay Bar is very close by and does amazing food. It’s perfect for sunset drinks or lunch with a view. Transfer to and from hotel using the hotel pier was very convenient.

ThailandThe walls of the room are really that you could hear everything from outside.
The staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and very helpful. The room is amazingly located to see some part of the ocean and it’s very cozy, I love the open concept bathroom as well. The location is amazing for people who want to stay away from the crowds.

Hong KongWe found the breakfast to be a bit lacking- the egg station looked good but everything else seemed a bit lacklustre. The pool was great but very cold as it was unheated. Also I think that the facilities could use a bit of an upgrade as the pathways were cracked and uneven, and when I tried to fill the bath, the hot water was brown.
We loved the location of the hotel despite it being slightly further out of Railay town. The views were so beautiful and our cabin had a stunning sea view. The staff were so helpful and friendly too.

United KingdomEverything and everyone (including all the workers in Railay) comes by long tail boat which go right past the hotel so it is pretty hectic and noisy especially “rush hour” am and pm.
Great views, very nice rooms, lovely pool, lots of wildlife. Very helpful staff. Rooms very private. As the information states the resort is on a very steep hill and you might have a bit of a walk to your room, that’s why the views are so good and the rooms so private. Good lighting and torches provided.

NetherlandsThe whole day and night it could be a bit noisy cause of the longboats that are passing through. The bungalows are located on a cliff so it’s a bit of a hike to get there and the path is slippery. We took the longboat from the Ao Nam pier and the staff could be more helpful with unloading luggage and bring this to the reception/bungalow. in other places we had a more relaxing experience.
The bungalows are great, located in the bush so you are in the middle of the jungle, that’s a nice experience. There is a path near the sea where you can walk (10 min) to Railay, there a several bars, restaurants and mini-markets. if you pass the ‘boulevard’ and at the end go left there is a nice beach.

GermanyThe beach (Railay beach east) in front of the hotel is not a good place for swimming in the ocean, mangroves and not so clear water on that side of Railay beach.
Really calm and relaxing place. Well maintained and beautiful pool area. Imbedded in great vegetation (jungle). View on the sea from almost everywhere. Breakfast is also more than sufficient.
