The staff at the pool bar were a little rude which was surprising, and the hotel was very crowded with many people always coming and going. Walls were thin so we heard everything from our neighbors, but no problem as it was a weekend trip so people were just coming home from a fun night out.

The pool bar on the 11th floor was nice, great view of the skyline! The bathroom had roaches, but to be expected for an older building in Bangkok. No problem. The canal taxi was just a few steps away which took you to the shopping malls, such a cool way to get around. The hotel was huge and a bit outdated, but fine for a short stay.

Only complaint was asking for additional nights they wanted to charge much much more than what was online but not really a downside to the hotel.

The stunning decor and easy to find areas. The views are lovely. Chinese on the top floor is a must eat place and the lower basement is a shopping mall. Great place to stay will return.

One very big problem was that the room had one single electrical plug/socket on the other side of the room from the bed. Luckily i had two extension cords in my car but without them, it would be nightmare to charge/use our phones and computers.

Outstanding breakfast, big rooms, impressive city view, hotel is old but very clean and elegant, next to the hotel is canal boat transportation that can take you fast near the business area or the old town.

The property itself is great however it was surrounded with the market vendors that made the hotel loses its beautiful charm.

1. Sockets don’t work 2. The beds on the wheels that is not possible to fix. My pillow continuously fell down on the floor. 3. Shower embedded in the wall. I was suffered to wash my body. 4. Steam room in awful conditions.

The staff was ok, not great. Probably my least favorite thing about this hotel is some of the breakfast items. Coffee wasn’t fresh, instead it was poured into large coffee containers already premade, which indicated you were not drinking the freshest coffee. I’ve stayed at other hotels that allowed you to grind your individual coffee and you could tell the fresh taste in coffee.

I like that it prides itself in history by keeping some of the original designs with a touch of modern. The hotel itself could teach you a lot of history as you roam the hallways.

Loved the large family suites which has three bedrooms, and was able to accommodate 6 of us. It had a living room and kitchen (no cooking facility), all of us were able to have own bedrooms. Each space had their own air conditioning machine. Rooms was clean, setting is a little outdated, but overall good value for stay. This is our second time at the hotel now. Last time was a few years back with the family too. The hotel is at a central location, a few steps to the ferry, and grab taxi could easily reach and park/pick up/drop off customers. There were gym and swimming pool which we used. The breakfast buffet had a lots of cooked foods and different types of eggs, salad, sushi bar, vegetarian dishes, pastry, fruits, and juice/coffee bars for self service. Also has a cooking station which they cook the noodle soups for you. The family loved the breakfast every morning.

First, the water heater plug is supposed to be there. There is no water near the sink. Second, the electricity in the room and the reception. Half of it is broken and does not work.

I'm sorry to say that there is a huge difference between the pictures and the reality. We order a family suite, everything was old and not beautiful at all like the pictures shown.

Some maintenance required Aircon didn't work in one room. The shower was not great for tall people, and our shower head was leaking from the head, so it was not great to have a shower We stayed in a family sweat overall still a great stay

Cheap and cheerful, dirt cheap clothes in wholesale market underneath the hotel. Handy for boat taxi, for palace trips. Cheap and good dining opposite main entrance. Nice pool!
