Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe resort was quite expensive vs other places we stayed in Thailand. We ate in the restaurant one night - don't go for 'Thai Style' because the food was just too hot and had too many chillies. We ate Thai food for 3wks (including the same dishes we had here), and these were overly hot for us vs all the other places we ate at. Breakfasts were good. The hammock/net on the balcony was nice, but very unsafe as there is just one small railing on the edge and if someone were to trip you would fall right off there and two storeys down. I would not recommend staying in the mountain view rooms if you have toddlers.
Over the road from the entrance to the National Park which was very convenient. The staff were attentive and the rooms nice. We went walking in the national park - followed the 'Big Tree' trail. We were a group of 10yr old kids, 70yr old grandparents, and 2 relatively fit adults. There wasnt much to say how tough the walk would be and with just a few kilometers showing on the map we felt it was low risk... so off we went. Soon we realised that this was no regular hike - it was a climb up and around a rocky outcrop. At one moment I thought I'm about to kill my parents, having to make sure I'm holding onto them/pulling them up/holding onto my kids - making sure no one fell down the cliff face! It was not for the feint hearted! It was absolutely beautiful though and I am not sorry we went, but if I knew the terrain ahead of the walk I may not have taken us all up there!

United StatesEverything was great
This place has one of the best views ever! We absolutely loved staying here. The room, the territory, the food, all the staff were absolutely wonderful. We are especially thankful to the owners Theo and the older gentleman whose name I never asked for being really attentive to our requests, and also Mon who was a delight to deal with and helped us arrange a bike.

United KingdomThe shower pressure was very low but...it is in the middle of the jungle so it seems trivial to mention it.
Very peaceful location in the jungle. Simple accommodation but very clean. Immaculate. Staff were kind and helpful. Delicious home cooked food for dinner.

AustraliaWater pressure in shower was not amazing- but still functional.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was comfortable and had a beautiful outlook. It was quiet - out of the main drag of Khao Sok which we wanted. The staff organised scooter same day, day trips easily and offered advice and suggestions readily. My partner ended up sick and the staff helped him with medication and real care! Thank you so much.

United StatesMotorbike rental was a little expensive.
If you are entering the national park from the Surat Thani train station, the hotel is located at the beginning of it, closer to the train station but further from the downtown strip. The hotel has a natural and welcoming feel to it, and upon arrival, you can enjoy a delicious welcome drink. If you are a foodie, the tasty fried rice is a must-try. One of the hotel's advantages is that they offer motorbike rentals and bamboo rafting tour bookings right at the front desk. The balcony of your room is a special feature that provides a peaceful way to experience nature. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel's niche is its welcoming atmosphere, which the host and staff have curated, making your stay even more enjoyable.

United StatesThere’s a definite problem with ants in the rooms. Hard to control when you’re staying in a jungle location, but it is noticeable.
Breakfast was amazing! Full of fresh veggies and a bonus round of amazing fresh fruit at the end.

ThailandDidn't like people smoking joints in the bungalow next to us, because the smell (and talk) disturbs my sleep. Bungalows are close to each other (they are in pairs).
Very nice staff and overall idea of the place is great. Stargazing from the net hammock is amazing. Surprisingly no mosquitoes this time, though they stay on the river.

Polandsmell in the toilet in the evening was not the best, but with the doors closed it was not a problem at all.
A perfect location! We loved a bungalow located just by the river. We could enjoy in the evening the sounds of the jungle - birds, frogs and whatnot :) Thanks to mosquito nets in the windows, we could sleep with windows open, which was perfect. Also, the gentleman in the reception desk was super helpful! Some advice: - You can rent a scooter from the hotel - You can get a Grab for your road ahead (just make an advanced booking a day before) - saved us some 2000 Baht on a way to Koh Phangan - You can get a grab to the lake / Khao Sok - The trek just opposite of the hotel is great! (2-3 hours)

GermanySince it is really far away from any shops or restaurants you are very dependend on the place. They make good food for a good price but I would have liked to be more independent. There are 2 motorbikes which they can lend but none was available for us during our stay. The price for a taxi btw is so bad, we had to pay 700 bath each time we wanted to visit something on our own (one way). But all in all the place was really nice! If you like to be a little bit on your own it‘s perfect for you.
The Staff was super friendly and even made us a take away sandwich as we had to leave the place early in the morning. Especially the young men speaks english very well and tries to help with everything.
