Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesDifficult as it’s Phi Phi island not New York NY strip, get serious escape as far as you can back here and you won’t regret unless your royal family then nothing will Please you anyway!!
It’s hidden on the rear side. So you don’t have all the hype and major tourism hustle to impede you. It’s a nice 20 minute long boat. It’s well built & well maintained

United Arab EmiratesNo WiFi for the majority of the stay, which was frustrating as I'd booked this tucked away spot to work on a project, but I guess luck just wasn't on my side. Found a big spider in the shower on my last afternoon (when reported it was immediately removed). Found several large cockroaches in the bathroom in the middle of the night on my last night.
The room and the view were absolutely AMAZING in a very quiet and natural location. All the staff were incredibly friendly, especially the lady at the reception who was so helpful.

FranceThis is a fabulous gateaway from any crowds on PhiPhi with everything you need for a relaxing stay. However there is a stunning beach walk 15 mins walk in one direction and ten minutes in the other direct a small village for super (dont go on the beach front as its a hotel ... lovely local restaurants just behind). Views are lovely, rooms are very clean and comfy, pool is perfect. Staff very helpful and will organise anything needed. Great family place for a couple of nights.

United KingdomVery little that I can comment on for improvement or negative. The showers could have a little more power, but you’re on a very small island so these things are to be expected! Can’t really fault the experience.
Stunning views. Amazing and polite staff. Everything is clean and well kept. Free use of canoe and other snorkelling equipment. Much nicer being round the other side of Phi phi, rather than at the busy port side.

AustraliaAmazing view from the rooms and throughout the resort. Beautiful serenity away from the hustle and bustle, but there is a small village 10 minute walk away from the resort with restaurants and drinks. The restaurant of the resort was also amazing and reasonably priced for a resort. We loved our stay, will definitely be back!

United KingdomThe air conditioning needed to be a colder unit, and some kind of coolness getting into the bathroom, as the bathroom really was roasting hot. A mirror in the bedroom would be a great addition as the bathroom is too hot to stay in to get ready.
Come here if you want an idyllic, remote and peaceful stay. The sea view from our room and the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. Comfortable bed. Snorkeling equipment free to use and you can snorkel right outside the hotel. The pool was so lovely and plenty of loungers. Only about 12 chalets in total so felt absolutely blissful. Really helpful staff. Free transfer from Tonsai pier. 10 minutes walk to a lovely local village with cute restaurants and bars.

Saudi ArabiaI rent 2 bedroom in this Hotel , I found my self in very quite hotel which i liken , but i have some ideas to improve the place such as : 1- adding TV in the room is going to be helpful specially the close the Lobby and the bar at 8 pm. 2- The swimming pool close at 8 pm which is early. 3- adding telephone from room service or any urgent situation After 8 pm you find your self with no activity and sleeping is the only way to end your day early. I like the hotel and staff 👍🏼
Quite and friendly staff 👍🏼 The best view you can have is from the hotel

United KingdomNo access to phiphi city centre except by boat! If you want to stay longer at the centre make sure you are happy to pay 1000-1500baths for a boat ride at night. Breakfast could be improved a lot. The beach side (where the long boat drop us) could be tidier and more inviting. If you want night life or a bit more movement this is not the place for you!
The chalet with sea and pool side was just dreamy, simple but comfortable. Very comfortable bed and opening the curtains in the morning to watch the sunrise was just perfect! The pool area is lovely, super cute and well kept. The check in and out staff was efficient and very happy to help. She organized a tour boat and fast boat to phuket which was great, thank you! 10min walk to the nearest village where you can find good little restaurants. Great to explore Nui Nui beach and to trek to Phi Phi viewpoint (worthy)!

AustraliaThere was a door in our chalet separating the bathroom/anteroom from the bedroom, which we were told to keep closed so mosquitos didn't enter the bedroom. We felt a bit nervous about this, as we couldn't work out how mosquitos would be getting into the bathroom/anteroom area... One of us did receive a few bites during the night but being in the middle of the jungle we just started applying insect repellent before bed. The need to keep the door closed meant that area wasn't air-conditioned and we only used it when strictly necessary. A bit inconvenient but not the end of the world. Other small things that could have been improved were the basic breakfast and service around the pool - but these were very minor and didn't detract from our overall incredible experience. Just noting this great resort is quiet, isolated and peaceful. Things we loved but might not be to everyone's taste.
We absolutely LOVED Phi Phi Phu Chalet Resort. The resort was brilliant - individual chalets built into the hillside overlooking pristine waters and coral reefs. The resort was secluded and felt removed from the party atmosphere of central Phi Phi Don. The on-site restaurant and bar served delicious food and drinks for reasonable prices. Otherwise, a 10 minute stroll into the nearby local village provided half a dozen different restaurants/bars to explore, along with a pharmacy, general store and massage shops. Phi Phi Phu resort staff were friendly and very helpful in booking island tours, organising snorkelling equipment (free) and Tuk-Tuk rides into the village (100 THB). The beach out the front offers some lovely relaxed snorkelling and kayaking, and there was a gorgeous infinity pool to lounge by during the day. Our bungalow room was lucky enough to be at the top of the hill, and while it was a steep climb the views were incredible. We had seen a few other reviews mention creepy crawlies in the rooms but we saw none during our stay, even when looking for them! We wish we had a longer stay to do more snorkelling and visit more of the local bars and restaurants!
