Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesWe were asked to pay for a missing tea spoon at the end of the stay which was weird and a first for me. That put a sour taste in our mouths
Phi Phi is beautiful . Property is very nice, great location and very clean . Staff were friendly and did a lot for our kids. Not a lot of food options

Saudi ArabiaI stayed for five nights, probably three as a solo traveler would have been better. Food is okay and you can't eat at other resorts on the beach unless you're a guest. With so many good spots along the beach at the resort, if they had more umbrellas and chairs then I would rate this place higher. These were all minor issues.
Stayed in the waterfront cottage and the location, porch, privacy and room AC was wonderful. The resort was bigger than what I expected but it feels quiet and private which was nice. Good snorkeling trips. I think the place is better than what the overall reviews scored it as.

UkraineThe location :( It’s literally in the middle of nowhere, to get to the main pier to all the parties and life you need to pay a lot for a boat to go back to the hotel and it will cost you 800-1000 bat in the evening/ at night and it’s really a bit long way(
Such an amazing, incredible territory and room number oh my god 😍 If you want to spend time in calmness and silence that is definitely the place to be! Be ready that they use tractor to bring you to the reception haahhahaah

United KingdomVery hilly, with lots of steps to the room, sometimes a bit of a pain after eating a big dinner on the beach. However if you wait 20 minutes, staff can drive you to your room in the internal shuttle. If you were there for longer than us (3 nights), you may be restricted on eating options as there are only a few restaurants close by.
Staff were good, helped with our transfers and trips, suggesting to use the boatman for our phi phi island trip. Room was good, we got what we paid for with a limited view but we didn’t spend much time in there anyway. Really nice area, away from the chaos of tonsai. However, easy enough to transfer there with the hotel running daily transfers at different times.

GermanyFrankly, we don't see the fire show needs to happen 3 times a week, the music is way too loud and disturbing the other resorts. We felt disappointed about it. It kinda destroys the beauty of the location.
Standard category villa in the hills of the resort. We enjoyed nearly no moskito harassment like in other places of the spot. Friendly/helpful stuff. Well organised return trip. Decent food. We came for the 2nd time. The resort is beautifully embedded in the nature of the island's tip.

United KingdomThe service at reception could be better. I don't know where to start. We found on several occasions we would be talking to a member of the reception staff and then they would just start serving someone else and we had no idea where we stood service wise. The transfer from the hotel was obysmal.and stressful, even though we had planned it in advance on the information we were given. You even fill a form in when checking in explaining where you are going next, this information seemed to be completely ignored.
Everything about this hotel was great, on the beach, food, service by all of the waiters and waitresses was fantastic.

United KingdomRestaurant staff could be more active in topping up the food at breakfast time which can get busy, or limit people overloading their plates 🤦♂️
We came last year and back again this year, lovely position not too noisy, great pool and amazing snorkelling just off the beach. A few restaurants on the beach are nice and an amazing little village with bars a short moped taxi distance away with a lot more options, definitely worth a visit

Australiathe wifi works on and off, also the resort is quite far from the nearest village, so if you get bored you need to walk 1h or catch a ride on a boat or bike and it can be quite expensive if you are on a budget.
Nice and quiete resort, friendly staff, the rooms are up the hill but they provided transport to the room anytime we asked.

United KingdomOur mountain room was in need of a bit of upgrading . Marks. In sinks and a bit rusty. There was a strong smell when you came in to the room especially of the toilet door was at all open presumably drains .. could have been cleaner ! Stains on the kettle .. I feel this was a bit over priced in comparison to other lovely resorts we have stayed in .. access by the shuttle boat was a bit stressful from the ferry .. reception staff refused to give us pool towels when . The pool was still open for another half hour .. tried to tell us it was shut but it said in resort info open until 8 pm
The location and resort complex are very nice. Shaded pathways with lots of natural vegetation .. Has a shuttle service if you don’t want to walk up the hill to some of the rooms. Lovely sunset view point. Give my he size of the resort of expected a bigger pool . In resort shuttle drivers were lovely very helpful

PolandNice location with comfortable rooms (many boasting incredible sea views). The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, helping us to move rooms due to an issue we had. The resort has a nice selection of fantastic activities, including longtail boat trips, with affordable prices for EU standards. The environment is very well kept, and the views are stunning all around. It feels very exclusive, far removed from busy Tonsai. There are sunrise and sunset points arranged with swings and cute decorations. Access to the beaches is very easy. On the main beach, there are a few shops and restaurants managed by locals, highly recommend to try those restaurants.

United StatesRoom was 10-15 min walk from beach if you are on the far side (top of hill). Could use some maintenance: broken internet, broke safe, broken shower door. Breakfast tables don’t have enough shade.
Peaceful and secluded. Far away from clubs and noise. Some places to snorkel.

SingaporeKind staff but feels a bit chaotic and stressed. Perhaps it was the holiday year-end peak :) One to one, the staff is very friendly (except there is this one older man working at the dinner). Also the aircon is right above the bed, not ideal.
Location is amazing with cottages having lovely views over the sea. Away from the busy areas. Very relaxing with beaches like you see only on pictures :)

United KingdomThe rooms are a bit tired. The food pretty average .
The first night I had a terrible experience the television kept coming on and there was a fire alarm that was running out of battery . But Chintana who is on reception was INCREDIBLE - she literally handled everything band was so kind and so helpful and so apologetic. She moved me to a new room and could not have been nicer or more professional. Really if you go here - make sure you deal with her. The other staff were ok - the rooms are a little tired - but I think they have all suffered from the fallout from covid. The snorkelling was nice but we sadly had fairly rough weather. Time your trip back to Tonsai if you don’t want to pay 1200 Bht for a private boat. The hotel have a link with a speed boat company and it will be 300 BHT per person instead. The food was average in quality but standard hotel type. Breakfast was included. All in it was great to get away from Tonsai area which is just manic and for me too noisy - it depends what you are coming for. As I say CHINTANA - really made the hotel as she was so wonderful.
