Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe access to the hotel is boarder line dangerous, I have just visited with my 15 year old daughter and I had to jump into the swelled tide with our suit cases , then go back and throw my daughter over my shoulder and bring her back , all with no light and not knowing what waves where coming towards me. I honestly could not believe what was happening. This hotel has huge potential but needs to desperately and urgently address the access issues!!! We took a twin room , which was nice and clean and had everything we needed apart from my mattress was nakered and sank to one side when I sat on it , I'm 15 stone by the way. Also , please remember that when they say the taxi boats are (all the time) it DOES NOT mean they are , as we found out after taking her to see the Thai boxing we arrived for a taxi boat at approx midnight , there was none ! Walking 3.4km through Phi Phi jungle with a terrified 15 year old in the pitch black with only a phone light was not my idea of a fun holiday . Breakfast was very limited
The staff where , as always , very helpful

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast
The pictures in Booking.com are completely different from the reality , the resort needs a major renovation, and the breakfast package was a joke , no breakfast at all , no choises , not even bakery like croissant , and the coffee machine I don't want even talk about it. It was the worse resort I have ever experienced and they gave us cheese expired 3 months ago , , but hats off to the staff , very friendly and helpful , and the housekeeping team they were doing a great job.

United KingdomThe breakfast was limited. Access to the hotel was very difficult with no steps up to hotel which meant you had to climb up on to a wall with luggage. Building work ongoing with bags of rubble everywhere. Overrun with wild monkeys which could be agressive and mosquitos everywhere
Room was spacious and clean. Be at to a lovely white sandy (quiet) beach

SpainIt’s far from phi phi centre and you either walk 50’ through beaches and rocks climb etc or a boat takes you to phi phi pier.. due to big waves (it wasn’t raining )they said boat couldn’t take us it was risky.. we had to walk 1h with backpacks and quite loaded.. otherwise we loose the ferry there waa No other options so careful with the planing because with suitcases it wouldn’t be impossible to walk and you are stranded
Out the tourist crowd with little private beaches with amazing views.

New ZealandThe pool was unshaded and was warmer than a bath. They could look at introducing umbrellas or a big shade overhead.
Our ferry ride from Koh Lanta to Koh Phi Phi was comfortable and easy. Upon arriving at Phi Phi's bustling port, we were greeted by a crowd and narrow streets, making it feel very crowded. We were unsure about how to get to our hotel, as there was no clear information, but we learned that a longboat was needed, with arrivals and departures being free of charge. The boat ride to Long Beach took just 5 minutes. Traveling to the township outside of arrival and departure times costs 100 baht during the day and 150 baht at night, or it's an hour's walk over a hill. The hotel staff were friendly, and our room was spacious with good air conditioning, a large bathroom, and a balcony, although it was too hot to sit outside. Contrary to some reviews, we found the included breakfast to be excellent, with a variety of dishes on offer in a pleasant setting. The pool was small, unshaded, and quite warm. Lunch and drinks were available throughout the day, and dinner was served from 6-8 pm. There were other pleasant restaurants along the beachfront. The beach was beautiful, but the constant wake and noise from passing longtail boats disrupted the serenity. There were designated swimming areas to avoid the boats, and the snorkelling just off the beach was fantastic; we could see hundreds of fish swimming around us without even needing snorkels. While there we walked to Viewpoint 2, long and hot but absolutely worth the 45min hike. The hotel could use some refurbishing, but it offers good value for the price. We experienced some noisy nights due to rain attracting local frogs, but overall, our stay was very pleasant, and we would definitely consider staying again.

SpainThe shower was pretty dirty. And the sheets were not super clean either. We also saw a small cockroach running on our bed the first night. The window in the bathroom was missing a mosquito net so we asked them to repair it. They put a mosquito net for the bed instead, which was nice. You also should be aware where you are staying as in there will definitely be monkeys and big lizards around the place.
If you want to relax on the beach, this is the place. There are some longtail boats coming and going but it's not too bad. The staff was very nice to us.

NetherlandsPretty run down definitely not as in the photos. Wood is coming apart. Typical resort that warm well but none of the money are used for upgrades and renovations. Really sad to see because the possibility are endless with its location. The accommodation around had bars open and restaurants and fire shows while this one didn’t have anything. Little bit bland sadly.
The location is amazing the view you have for breakfast amazing.

NetherlandsThe hygiene is really below par. Our bedding had old blood on it and our coffee bowls had mold on them. What was also disappointing is that you can actually only eat at the surrounding restaurants. But we should have found this out better in advance. If the hotel were cleaned better and you could use the boats several times for free, it would improve the price-quality ratio in my opinion.
The hotel is located on a very beautiful stretch of Long Beach on Koh Phi Phi. You can walk directly from the hotel to the beautiful beach. You also have this beautiful view during breakfast. The staff is extremely hospitable and willing to help.

TurkeyThe facilities could be improved. The price is waaaay to high for the comfort you get. Breakfast was very poor. With a little more attention, this place could be paradise.
LOCATION! Just wow. Long Beach is amazing. We saw sharks, nemo, some of nemo’s friends and lots of other fish while snorkelling. Beautiful beach, very close to Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Bamboo Island. You can book a private tour with longtail boats for a reasonable price from Long Beach. The evenings and the sunsets were divine. Not many restaurant options around. Not a place to stay for party people. Very calm beach. There were monkeys that were trashing the place, but it was funny :) Not get too close though! We got a free upgrade, but our friends didn’t. One night we had a cockroach in our bathroom, but this is normal in Thailand, you’re basically in the jungle.

United KingdomUnfortunately the bar and restaurant were not open but luckily there are three excellent restaurants on Long Beach within other hotels which we used.
The location is stunning with fabulous views, the beach is great. Shark Point, close to hotel, is swimmable to and whilst snorkelling I was lucky to see 6 black tip reef sharks. The WiFi and air con was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
