Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomStuff!!! Poor service, not very friendly not very kind . Maybe it’s because of the type of guest they are dealing with my guess.!
Beautiful view and beautiful bitch close to town centre. Unbelievable massage, unbelievable place surrounded by the sound of the wave and see with amazing professional Thai massage . My Messenger name is yo-yo ! Amazing amazing, amazing amazing. Wow The only reason I will go back is because of that lovely person who messaged me because I couldn’t find the same anywhere else in Thailand I tried so many times .

AustraliaThe beds were a little uncomfortable, but that is pretty standard throughout Thailand.
Beautiful quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of town. Magnificent views.. I read alot of reviews from people saying the staff were rude which I have to say is just not true. The staff are more reserved than what you'll find in the busier places in Phuket which I enjoyed. They are lovely people who just want to please you. The rooms are big and clean. The walk into town is about 15-20 minutes which we enjoyed. Previous review said there was monkeys and sea urchins, both of which we didn't see. Only one monkey which left us alone. Lots of beautiful little friendly cats that seem to be well looked after and were so friendly.

AustraliaWe were greeted at reception with a delicious pineapple and coconut drink upon arrival. The long boat brought us from the Ton Sai pier. The mattresses were exceptional - so comfortable that I checked the brand to try to purchase one. The surroundings were idyllic and the view was outstanding. The food at the store was very reasonably priced so no need to bring anything. The restaurant was also very well-priced and the meals delicious.

NetherlandsThe beach was clean but the sea water was dirty. It was everywhere in the island actually.
Beautiful green landscape. Good food. Clean and spacious room. Friendly and helpful personnel. We informed the resort our time of arrival and they arranged the pick up from Ton Sai Pier and return. Thumbs up to the team !

United KingdomParadise pearl is an absloutly stunning hotel. The beach on the door step is so convenient with lots of free loungers to use across the beach and in the shade. The view is incredible day and night time. The sea is clear and is fairly deep as soon as stepping in. The room was a standard room with an incredible big balcony and amazing view. However, the shower was one shower with hot water and another shower with cold with an attempt to mix the water which works very poorly. The rooms are clean to an extent but, the finish it needs is not there for example, cleaning mirrors and glass. This hotel is set 7-10 minutes boat ride from the main peir. On arriving the staff will be waiting for you to help put your bags on the free boat over the the hotel. Every ride after Is 100 bar and it's very unreliable. We waited an hour every time for a boat on the other side just to get back. At night time its a scary one to pick if to go to the pier incase can't get back. My brother did this one night and they then hike the price to 1000 there and back knowing there was no way really back and he was on his own. You can walk from pardise to the pier it's a 50 minute walk on Google maps through chicken island slightly but, the walk is down hill on the way there and very steep uphill on the way back it was 34 degrees yesterday it isn't an easy walk in the heat. The food at the restaurant is average there is a selection of very random foods .. we found after the food from here we all had bad belly and bad wind. You can do your laundry here at the price of 1kg 80 bah and it takes 2 days to do. If you go over to the pier there is a washing service which you can do a 15kg wash for 40bah. The shop onsite is not very full and doesn't have much in but, does have a selection of drinks.

United KingdomBeautiful location right on the beach, absolutely stunning! Lovely bungalows. Not far from tonsai pier, could get a long-tail boat or walk however when raining you can get dirty doing the walk up the mud path. Staff nice, food in restaurant good as well as nice cocktails. Viewpoint not far and worth walking up to. The infinity restaurant at the viewpoint is fantastic and definitely worth the walk, only about 20 mins

NetherlandsI liked everything about our stay. The bungalows were beautiful, very clean and comfortable. I liked the little terraces in front of the bungalow. The bed was huge and our room was cleaned every day. We were traveling with our teenager daughters who had a bungalow for themselves and everything felt really safe. The location is just amazing, at the beach, the beach is simply gorgeous. I can recommend to anyone.

United Statesbungalows were a bit dark. although right on Long Beach, it is further from Phi Phi town - need to either walk 30 minutes (last part nearest to property was under construction and basically a steep dirt and rock trail) or take a 10 min ferry - could use the property's ferry (for a fee except for the ride to check in, and only certain hours), or negotiate with longtail boat drivers in central Phi Phi to take us back - during a storm, the local boatman could only take us halfway and we had to walk back in the drenching rain
Our family loved having our own individual bungalow in a traditional Thai style on a property directly on Long Beach on Ko Phi Phi - so easy to walk out and onto beach in a minute. Long Beach is by far the best beach on the island, with a long strip of sand and clear warm water with no jellyfish, plus with views onto other islands and close to shark point, where they say you can snorkel near sharks. On-site restaurant had great views and good food and drinks.

New ZealandOur room did not have the 3 prong power points, and we had to charge our phone daily. We always found a kind staff member who helped us although many said they couldn't help. Unfortunately, the beach is frequently littered by debris every new tide that the garden team try to stay on top of, with the help of tourists staying there also. The pile of refuse stacked at the northern end of the beach was disappointing and would only take a king tide and high winds to throw it all back in to the ocean. This should be taken care of immediately. The Thai government legislation needs to get on top of this ecological disaster that is burying Thailand's treasured beaches. Also no pool, I know, spoiled privileged tourist speaking and yet during the monsoon storms, it would be priceless! Many other resorts along this beach provided one.
The meals from the restaurant were very good with an extensive menu. (I'm now addicted to Thai pancakes with honey!) The beach was lovely soft sand with a steep drop off providing deep water quickly. The gardens were beautiful, cobbled paths, frangipani trees in flower every few metres and butterflies flitting about. The carvings on the villas were a delight. Decore included carved features and furniture offering an authentic feel for a Thailand holiday. The long tail boat transfers to and from the pier were helpful.

GermanyBungalow we stayed this year was way more modern vs. last year one. Maybe just luck, but seems renovation took place. At the end this place is not about beds and shower, but the beach. Amazing big beach, not crowded, having very nice bar/restaurant serving nice smoothies and cocktails. Snorkelling opportunities are nearby.

New ZealandWhile the bungalows were cute they need a little bit of TLC. The safe wouldn’t lock and the bed was very hard. I woke every morning with a sore back.
The location was amazing! The beach was beautiful. Absolute paradise. The staff were kind and friendly. Loved the cat residents. The food at the restaurant was very reasonable and for the most part very good. The cocktails were great!
