Shower wasn't strong enough I got long hair and wasn't done properly ,but fair enough is a small hostel .

Nice central hostel you could walk to the main temple and also easy access to shops bars restaurants etc z clean hostel and staff very friendly and very helpful. This is very quiet hostel so if you looking for party hostel this is not the place .

I've never encountered a hotel with such strict rules regarding towel usage. This policy was implemented due to guests returning from elephant tours with muddy towels.

There was only one shower for male guests at the whole hostel, which did not seem like enough for me. They could easily make mixed bathrooms. Also, the air in the dorm was really bad - it's that tradeoff between having the AC run all day and not having a window open. I definitely didn't sleep my best due to the bad air quality - not even to speak of the smell. At least venting for some time in the day would be good.

Definitely a good hostel - clean, well designed, and best of all: The AC is running most of the day. In other budget hostels it's switched off most of the time. Also the provided breakfast is decent for the price.

The top beds were a bit uncomfortable to access, I wish they would provide safer stairs. And a bigger desk to work for long hours working in common are would be nice.

The water pressure of the shower is really bad. It takes a lot of time to shower because of that. Also, I think when someone downstairs uses the water, we get even less water on the shower. It would be a great thing to fix that.

Owners were super friendly and had a lot of great suggestions! Rooms were also very clean. I stayed in the female dorm and found everyone super respectful, quiet, clean and friendly. Also love the entrance to do some work. One of my favorite hostels I encountered in Thailand.

The location was superb and the facilities were faultless. The rooms were ideal and the beds were really comfy, very good value for money. The staff were all so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, going out of their way to know my travel plans and how to best help me make the most out of my time.

This was my first time in Chiang Mai, and I am so glad I chose Pakping Hostel. The room was very clean and cozy, and the host couple were incredibly nice. Their baby was also super adorable. I had a truly unforgettable week here and made many wonderful friends.

This was a great place to stay!

This was a really lovely hostel! Paul and his wife are super friendly and helpful, and I felt right at home. I especially appreciate that Paul helped figure out alternative activities (and made calls to confirm whether tours were running) when my tour cancelled last minute. The dorm beds felt really private and also had two lockers (one beneath the bed, and a small one on the side of the bed). There is a nice common area, and because of the setup, it was really easy to socialize with other guests. There is filtered water to refill your bottle with. Location was great: on a quiet street but within short walking distance of most destinations in the Old City. A few excellent coffee shops nearby (which the hostel staff provides recommendations via WhatsApp on check-in). Overall, I'm glad I stayed here, and I'll definitely stay here again the next time I am in Chiang Mai.
