Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI have to point out we went in the low season. So there were few guests, which made the stay more relaxed. It would be nice if they had a lounge area, maybe enclosed, with a bar or tables and sofas in case you need to work on your laptop briefly. However we did se a lot of construction taking place, maybe new facilities are in development. I have no other significant complaints.
Very nice resort. Excellent pool area with bar, cushioned recliners, umbrellas. Big open dining are for breakfast. Room had possibly the best shower I had in all Thailand - good water pressure and hot. Very friendly staff. And they let you borrow towels for your daily activities on the water or beach.

ItalyUnfortunately, it's not the hotel's fault (and I haven't let this issue impact my rating), but from 9:30 PM until 1 AM, you can hear pounding music from a nearby venue that makes it hard to sleep. This is especially true if you're staying in building 11 and the ones nearby, but even the farther buildings are affected (I personally went out to the stairs each night to measure the decibels). This was a big problem for me, and it breaks my heart to see such a peaceful and beautiful place spoiled by someone else's noise. Especially since there's supposed to be a noise curfew after 10 PM. I'll admit this would negatively influence my decision to return if the problem persists, and I hope my comments in this review will help the managers defend their cause and their business. I'd also suggest they mention in the description that in low season the resort is undergoing renovations, and some services aren't available. The pool is only 1.20 meters deep throughout and hot, which makes it difficult to swim. But if you have kids or teenagers, you'll probably appreciate it. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay, and in my opinion this is one of the most beautiful hotels in Ao Nang, if not the best, in its price range.
This hotel is a godsend for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Ao Nang but also loves nature and sustainability. It's made up of several buildings that blend seamlessly into a tropical forest, home to families of macaques, salamanders, fish, butterflies, small birds, leaf insects, and many other native animals just a stone's throw from your room. Sometimes they even pay you a visit on your balcony! When I stayed, the hotel was undergoing renovations. The Treetop Café and lobby were closed (and the spa looked a bit neglected), but I was lucky enough to have breakfast for the last few days before it closed for renovations at the 'floating' restaurant. It's an open-air spot overlooking a pond where big catfish swim, lulled by the sound of a waterfall. The breakfast buffet is abundant and nourishing, with options for vegetarians, Thai cuisine, continental fare, an egg station, salads, and yogurt with a variety of seeds and toppings. They have machines with freshly ground coffee and organic teas. Above the restaurant, there's a pool overlooking the street, a bar, and a sunbathing area. The deluxe rooms are decorated in traditional Thai style - spacious, cool, with polished marble floors and handcrafted bamboo and fabric objects. They've got all the comforts you need, from TV to decent Wi-Fi and a fridge with complimentary drinks on arrival. Also kudos for the huge desk (a must if you work online), and a gigantic, ultra-comfortable bed. The staff and management are incredibly kind and radiate positive energy. I don't understand the reviews that claim otherwise - I think they're more a reflection of some tourists' ignorance and nastiness. The value for money is incredible if you stay during the low season. I'd recommend staying in buildings 3 and 4, which are the most secluded and quiet.

DenmarkWe paid 280€ for 5 nights and breakfast was not included, which was a bit to much and not quite the value of money we expected.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Everything is in walkable distance, we didn’t need to rent a scooter. The hotel is a green oasis which we enjoyed very well. The staff is very kind and the room gets cleaned every day, so it’s all very clean. The room is very spacious.

AustraliaI wish I had known about all the steps so that I could have requested a room on the lower level (dosg knees!). Luckily, I was able to swap to a lower level after one night. Otherwise, I may have been a prisoner in my room!
Beautiful setting, lovely staff, close to the action.

SingaporeFirst the property is not constructed on plan surface, it's a hill , it's like a slop as in you go inside, so if u can't walk much or climb up on stairs, better as for a near by room at early stage. One of the day croissants at breakfast had ants, lots of it, it was not changed or removed, they should focus on these things.( Even after updating to someone)
The place is good, calm and beautiful, it's almost 10 min walk to beach. Staff was wonderful, breakfast options were good, even some options for vegetarians. We took a chalet room, it had a big round sofa which was enough for our small kid so extra bed needed.and room was big enough Over all a wonderful stay.

MonacoThe room was very dated and dark. Perhaps a few cosmetic touches could brighten up the place. The pool area is a little tired but did not take away from an enjoyable time in the pool area.
The location is perfect to retreat from the main tourist areas but also very accessible by foot. The gardens are beautiful and the spa is magnificent. Breakfast was well catered too.

Very nice resort and in a very good location. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Nice pool areas also. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we even got a free upgrade when something went wrong with our first room. Very close to lots of restaurants and bars only 10 min walk to the beach

FranceThe room was clean but a bit dated (compared to the pictures) and damp (stay was during moonsoon season). The bed sheets were not great and the shower a bit dated as well. Nothing too dramatic though.
The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The facilities were nice. The garden was absolutely gorgeous. The location was perfect: a few minutes walk from night markets and the beach. The breakfast was "simple" but very nice and with many options.

United KingdomLovely site off the busy street so feels like you are away from all the hussle and bussle. Unfortunately the air con in our room leaked the first night but the staff immediately upgraded us to a better room for the rest of our stay. The pool is amazing, big with more than enough beds for the guests, surrounded by nature , we were fortunate enough to see the dusky leaf monkeys. Walking distance to the beach, shops, boats and restaurants.
